Herp derp xD Glad you could make it ;)

I totally missed the part where Wombat said me and Tress blipped his scumdar, I remember reading the whole "75% or worse" thing. Anyway, as someone suggested earlier, I'll unvote so we can get a little scumhunting done before we decide to go for either a lynch or a no-lynch

You mean even when you're scummy skimming you don't even notice your name being on other people's scumdar?

That's... pretty strange, even for you Arez

I'd like to point out it's unlogical and strange, than it's probably not what you try to make it out to be (and I'm tired of the expression scummy skimming..)

If I'd be a scummy skimmer.. Why the heck would I mention that I Missed Wombat's Blip?

I also don't like how easily you cave into other's demands by unvoting here. Makes it look like you were just trying to hide a vote in the "no lynch" train, but would be happy to lynch a townie as well

I'm afraid that I don't agree with your assessment of my "playstyle". When something is logical, I tend to have an easier time to change my oppinion. When something doesn't make any sense to me, I get very stubborn.

Right now, I personally think EPs meltdown is a "I feel bad vote for no lynch" or something similar. I like many of Despos points on EP and havnt seen any of EPs so called scum hunting.

I would really like it if he showed us some of this. There is no townie reason to with hold info like that to me. The only thing I can see a townie holding back and being right to do so is if they have a power role and EP claimed vanilla.

Didn't initially agree but after that last post... ^this

Meltdowns... Meltdowns everywhere!

When did people start forgetting this is a game?

I wish I could policy lynch without feeling like scum.. Because right now, I want to prove to EP that faking an meltdown is not going to scare me away.. Infact, faking a meltdown when you have ONE vote smells veeery fishy.

There was a player doing something similar recently, but that wasn't faking and he/she leaved every mafia que and asked to be replaced, that's a real meltdown, not a faked one.

This is my oppinion on the whole No Lynch matter.

If we want to try it, Day 1 is the way to go, I'm not willing to risk it later in game, even if we manage to nail scum at the end of day 1.

I'd just like to point that out. Not saying you're scum Lenlo, just that we kinda share the same oppinion.

Everyone says GFY ).(

Unless it is your first time swearing or something (and it isn't). I have seen you break the coc more offensively than that. It is part of mafia to be a bit aggressive.

Gratuitous profanity (whether disguised by acronyms or not) is not an inherent part of mafia. That being said, I doubt that EP should withdraw over this. He can get Verbal to spank him if he really wants.

Quoting for emphasis. I've also seen you do worse in games, EP, and your suggestion that you should back out of this game for using an acronym that's rather commonly used in mafia games in these parts kind of baffles me.

I'd like to hear more from Andrew.

And because of this, you decide to text me at 5 in the morning? Really? You're so lucky my phone was on vibrate and I could easily ignore it and go back to sleep.

I'm having my first cup of coffee, so my brain isn't quite up to serious investigation of the posts that have been made, but I can say that EP's little thing feels off. I haven't known/played with EP as much as some of you others but that just feels completely out of character to me.

There is more to that last post than just the game, I felt like I broke a DM rule that I agreed to when I joined and therefore am holding myself accountable as such

I just want to say that editing is allowed in this game. So there is nothing stopping from rewording your post and taking out the acronym.

Why wouldn't a No Lynch still be valid D2 if we bagged a scum D1 and were a step ahead?

Oh dear I did switch tress and kae! My bad x.x.

We Lighties all look alike?

Tress, awesome.

No, I texted you to wake you up because I thought it would be funny at 5am. :D I was ihopping with friends. LOL

I'd like to hear your input, because at the time you had only 1 post in the game and hadn't added much to discussion. Though the same can be said of Lessa and Song, who have not posted yet.

Wait, so first EP has a little "emo" kick and then he's iffy over saying GFY? Really? I commented on it's overusage being annoying, not on the words themselves. Quite honestly, I swear like a sailor, but I think that the GFY rule is overused in that its like an end-all to any proper scum hunting.

Hence Baguette is poor reasoning, and GFY is trying too hard to be bad-A, or is your ultimate "OMG U SUCK" moment. So whatever.

EP, I think you're freaking out over nothing.

Obviously it would be better to get a No Lynch D2 if you managed to get a scum killed D1. But imo, it's still not good because the scum will probably have killed one of us aswell.

And I feel that if we vote for a no lynch D1, it would only be like an extension of D1 up until D2 (except for possible cop views and other similar things).

But if we vote no lynch D2, it feels like we would disrupt the game's "speed" and stall, losing trails and so on. But hey, it's just how I feel. It can really go anyway haha xP.

We might aswell get a scum kill D1, block any potential night kill N1 and get a super good card D2.

But to sum up, I'd rather go for a D1 no lynch than a D2 no lynch.

I guess that makes sense...

3 hours later and still no post on thoughts.

Ok you know you haven't played mafia on DM in a while when you see people's names and you get really excited.

I'll be reading this all later because I only have a quick moment before I have to go again. As for the no lynch thing I honestly don't know. Once I've read this later I'll post my thoughts

Hiya there! Long time no see! =)

I agree with bgrishinko: We can experiment on day 1 rather than later. And to those that feel we are rushing this No lynch wagon, really it doesn't feel as if we are rushing at all, but rather having a look and then "deciding" and casting their vote. I feel that we are moving along quite slowly, and it does sometimes feel painfully slow. I mean, are we going to wait for 3 or 4 real life days for someone to make a really big slip up, and then we can can all cast our votes on him/her? At the moment, all anyone can do is conjecture and go on gut feelings: "this post feels a bit off" or "this post is a bit odd and maybe something scum would do". I'm not saying don't post your (referring to everyone) thoughts as this keeps the game lively, but I feel that we should cast our votes on something rather than waiting a week for something promising to ping and then casting our votes.

Posted

Well the only reason its been 3-4 RL days is because of those of us who wanted to discuss and talk about things rather than rush a no-lynch. If people hadnt started talking and pushing and poking and prodding we would have had this over and done with and have had a card drawn by the end of RL day 2 at the latest imo.

Everyone voting for the no lynch on the first day was either saying they were curious and wanted to see the mechanics or were bandwagoning on the easy train. FOS because this post feels like your trying to protect some people on the no lynch train to me and are also trying to get the day to end so none of your mates ((Be they mason, scum or some other weird thing)) make said big slip up.

With that said I do think we have had enough discussion, enough at least to make me feel okay with voting no lynch.

Posted

Well I thought that many of the players in this game are too experienced to make a slip up. So what I was saying was the sun would rise in the west before someone slips up (an exaggeration, I know); but the point is that the game would move on at a reasonable pace if we cast our votes without delaying for "no reason".

Posted

It's not about slip ups David. It's about getting statements by players that can be matched up later in the game. If we all just voted no lynch right off the bat then there would be absolutely no information on day 1. Why waste the opportunity? Even if ultimately no lynch is chosen..at least now we have some info even if it's just a little bit.

People rarely slip up..but they do give small clues that add up.

Posted

Such as the whole EP thing. We can match up his behavior later on in the game with what happened here to see if he is more town or more scum. I have to agree with Peace that slips dont happen often. Ive seen very very few things that I would consider actual slips.
