Help me decide on a theme for my advanced game

I've had an idea for what I think would be an epic advanced game for a while. I'm not going to go into many of the details yet, but I can't decide on a theme for it.

 

I've narrowed it down to:

 

Smash Bros.

 

or

 

Hunger Games

 

I originally had thought of Smash Bros. theme but then realized that then my last game and this one would both be Nintendo game based (and both would have Ness in it) so I thought maybe I should go with something else. I just finished reading Catching Fire (Hunger Games bk. 2) and so that's been on my mind and I can see how I can make that theme work pretty well too.

 

The game won't start for a while (I'm way down the DM Mafia Queue) unless I decide to move it over to SG or another Social group. But I like to plan early in case something opens up.

Go with hunger games, the character's would make some really interesting roles that would go along with the story.

I'd personally prefer Hunger Games, mostly because I'm more familiar with it. But I have no doubt either will be extremely awesome.

I read it, it was OK. now pretty much everything I read seems OK, because I compare it to WoT

EP, you'd have to go ahead and do that theme as my knowledge of DBZ is severely lacking.

 

I haven't seen the Hunger Games movie, so I'm unsure of how well it was adapted yet.

 

Smash Bros. seems to be the more popular answer and my idea for it is still evolving a bit, so I think the Smash theme will be better anyway.

 

I'm also developing a new, completely different idea for Hunger Games though.

If its an all for scenario people would lose interest and just vote wherever. There has to be a common goal shared amongst the game. If not they will vote someone off just because it isn't them.

This I understand. I am not planning on it to be a free-for-all scenario.
