I can't envision a scenario in which CP is mafia and this game is balanced so I'm going to assume he's not mafia and therefore not worth lynching

 

I can't envision a scenario in which the mod is also a player and the game is balanced, period. Pandy's setup by including himself as a nonvoting player who still counts toward the majority number is inherently messed up, and that's just not properly thought out game design.

Ah yes, tree stump. The role where you have no vote, no power over who gets lynched, and you just sit there and comment on things, and then you can't die and live till the end of the game and win no matter what, thus removing all challenge for you. Got to be the most phenomenally pointless role I can imagine.

Which part? Where I said when it was established that you couldn't LD statements of alignment, or where I said Chrissy wouldn't have liked it if Pandy used my version of LD? LD was my second choice of roles to submit, except I would have written it so that the LD would submit posts, not individual statements. The LD would then be told whether or not there is a lie within the post and have to figure out for themselves what the lie is.

Anyways, I think there is a lot of merit to Cosmic Panda the MOD having Pandy the player in the game. I am using my bus driver power on me and Pandy tonight. Anyone who targets me will target pandy instead and visa versa.

Okay, except if you announce who you are using the power on, then that defeats the power, since anyone wanting to target you will know to target Pandy instead (and vice versa). Which leads me to conclude that either you aren't all that confident of your power, despite being the one to submit it, or you are lying to us about who you are using the power on. Christine, if you haven't yet submitted anything to check for lies, this may be a good one to look at.

The mafia have the extra advantage of communicating off thread with their fellow mafia. We do not have this luxury. Therefore, what we post in this thread can be taken a number of ways. Maybe I am lying about who I targeted and maybe I did not. WIFOM works just as well for the mafia as it is for the town.

This is great considering that our roles have no bearing on our alignment. Are we to assume you are town then? Perhaps your truth-reading on my post will help determine your alignment as well.
