The crowd gathers around Nolder, curious as to his behavior. There do seem to be a few odd ticks, and some of what he says is confusing, and in the end, it's a decision easily agreed upon.

 

The rope is place over Nolder's head. He stares ahead, emotionless.

You reflect back over the confusion of the day and cannot help but glance above to where the Leviathan watches over everything.

The rope is hoisted, but Nolder's feet never leave the ground...instead, his head dislocates from his body, showering the crowd in sparks.

The mechanical sun slides down, disappearing from view, and for a moment the city is bathed in darkness. Pale light pushes the darkness back as the moon rises to take its place, reminding you of a ghost.

The Aether Materializer...what could it be? Are there answers to be had from the proposed meeting with the Dark Monocle? What madness has the town fallen into?

It is impossible to know the answers to any of these questions, and from the narrow-eyed looks you are getting form other townsfolk, it is not wise to continue to stand here and keep wondering.

What good does a cop with no powers do us? None. If he had been "vanilla townie" converted to mafia, then that's the same thing. Doesn't necessarily hurt the town to lose him this way once he was converted. In a game like this there's bound to be more than one finding role, perhaps even another cop.

Are you serious? If I told you all that my vote was stolen and then didn't vote for anyone then I would get strung up for that. At least until I did vote for someone.

 

As for the rest, I said that I would reread, so I did. Again, pretty sure that would be frowned upon if I said I would and then didn't. I always hate it when people do that anyway. Plus, as jumbled as it appeared, I wanted to add my own thoughts to the game because I'd rather have some ideas of my own rather than just going along with what other people say. Just didn't have the opportunity to multiquote people as I just copied and pasted from my notes.

JLM, he did this to Aemon, too*. If you count the names, there are 13 of them.

Ok I retract everything I just said about Key this is what happens when I try to play mafia before I even brush my teeth. I somehow missed the whole thing about Aemon's vote being stolen.

The thing I keep coming back to is the final vote count for Day 1. It would be unlikely that there would be no mafia on any of the three trains that were building on Day 1 and it would be equally foolish to believe that all of the mafia that had cast a vote would be on one train rather than spread out. On the Des train I am suspicious of both Wombat and Nolder. Wombat because he came out of the gate swinging at Des, which pinged me at the time, and Nolder for trying to lay the set up a lynch on Wombat if Des flipped town on Day 2. On the Songstress lynch I am most suspicious of Verbal for calling Songstress's vote on Hoof a hidden vote on an easy lynch (or something to that effect). It strikes me as playing to the fact that Hoof has a tendency to get killed quickly in order to gain some sympathy and gain him at least one more day in the game before he manages to get himself killed. If one flips scum, it would not surprise me if the other does, also. On the Maw train, I still have a gut feeling about Key. However, everyone else that was in my well-thought-out-yet-ultimately-useless case on Day 1 has been killed and flipped town, so I'm not going to pursue that one right now. Because I'd like to hear more from Nolder and because I just plain don't trust him...

Oh? I actually agreed with Verbal's point when he made it. Scum likes to bury votes on the easy people who always catch votes. I don't think it says much about Verb other than he hears us say this on JN all the time.

 

i don't like the idea of giving someone a free pas Day one just because they've attracted votes in the past. Especially when it was the first vote of a necessary 15. It just looks like a preemptive strike to make sure no one else follows suit.

 

No, that's not why I voted Songstress. I understand that Hoof was lynched a bunch of times on D1 or something, and to see somebody bury a vote to 'not delay the inevitable' was extremely suspicious to me. It made sense to vote accordingly. It has nothing to do with giving people free passes - I could care less about that. If you bury a vote on low hanging fruit, I'm voting for you. Simple.
