[Light Vs Shadow] - HEROES AND VILLIANS MAFIA

I think des is telling the truth. A watcher fake-claim is pretty silly since it is very easy to accidently blow your cover. Say you claim to have targeted player A, and say no-one targeted him, but then whaddya know, the finder shows up and contradicts you.

There are better things to fake-claim then that.

Faulty logic. I have seen scum watchers plenty of times. He may have the role he claims but still not be town.

Hmmm fair point. However, I still believe he is town.

Well, given Wombats reveal, which seems likely (who on earth would false-claim inventor?) I am forced to switch to the only viable candidate. Sorry poet, let's hope I was wrong about you.

unvote, vote poet.

The description that was given makes it difficult to find truth..... Are reveals common in mafia games?

Wombat has had defenCe from other players to match the votes against him. Unfortunately so has poet..... Villains would (uncharacteristically I might add) defend their own. I unfortunately do not have the time atm but I would suggest an inquisitive soul analysis the reasons posted in the defenCe of both wombat and poet and find illogical or unsubstantiated reasoning that aims to clear either name.

Going off memory, Wombat's defenCe from other players mostly revolved around a 'that's just wombat's way' theme where as poet's were more of a 'that just doesn't seem scummy to me' thought.

As such I am inclined to unvote, vote poet

wouldn't the mafia(villains) consider it worth a vanilla goon the out the finder? would people believe a rebuttal to the claim without a counter claim?

also, was that the hammer?

It looks like it was the hammer.

I´m not sure I believe Wombat´s claim. It allows him to claim all sort of things - protection, investigation etc.

I read the rules and it says that you might hint at roles but it will get consequences. Too bad because I would have liked to know Wombat´s role. I can´t think of a character that invents things. Now that is not a proof for him being scum because, as some of you already know, I don´t watch movies often so maybe the rest of you see something that I don´t right now.

Talya - what do you mean by consequences?

That's a Hammer....

DAY 2 VOTE

Poet (10): Blackhoof, Leelou, BG, Sakaea,Tiink, Song, Ley, Locke, Wombat, Blackhoof, Pants

Wombat (5): Pants, Poet, Blackhoof,Pants, Turin,AH, Tina, Des

BG (1) : Red, Wombat, Tina

Blackhoof(1): Des

Sakaea (0): Locke, Tina

Tiinker (0): Wombat

After many arguments the crowd soon found two that seem to pull ahead of the rest. Poet and Wombat were the favourite choices. Eventually one pushed ahead and before long a decision had been made. Poet was the choice for the lynch. A rope lowered from the ceiling and she was dragged to it and the loop slipped over her head and tightened around her neck. Suddenly the floor where she had been standing opened and down she went with a loud crack as her neck broke. At least it was clean and quick!

After a search of her room a fedora and a whip was found, along with various old treasure maps.

29 hours to deadline. We have seven votes on Poet, and four on Wombat. 10 to lynch. I don't believe someone with only 2 votes can get lynched this day (except if they both make a believable role claim that isn't countered), so it is Wombat or Poet. I must say (important moment, this is my first meta ever) that Wombat does things like randomly voting someone often to get the game going. And, well, about Maw's lynch, I only read that once, while rereading, but I don't remember that Wombat really, really much tried to get him lynched, as Turin's post with his vote appears to say. And D1 lynches, well, you just don't konw anything, and I don't think it can be easy to find a mafia this way. And Wombat is too experienced to stand out that much (yeah, of course, he could want us to think that, but that's just WIFOM). But about Poet... Well, I agree she shouldn't have talked about the mason on thread (however, I believe Des to be Watcher, so that means he's most likely not mason), because you point them out to mafia then. And for me it also seemed like she knew she hammered, and then she kept saying she didn't knew it. So I VOTE Poet.

Another strange defense of Wombat. First Locke and now you.

It wasn't defence. It was just stating that I didn't found it weird he did that. But maybe that is the same for you...

Tina is really pinging me hardcore. I also don't like Leyrann's directing of us, saying the only two lynches we could achieve at this point are wombat and poet. Even if that's likely true, honestly it just seems like a way to pressure us to vote for poet because it would be so much easier to hammer him than wombat.

I'll say this though- I'm somewhat suspicious of all those that are just now trying to get on my side with my claim. Nobody claimed to really believe it before, even though I explained all of my reasoning for claiming at that point. And nothing has come out to vet me since, so anyone saying they definitely believe my claim NOW are prob just trying to connect themselves with a townie. FOS on Ley and Pants. Locke never really said he believed my claim, but he did point out that it didn't make sense to lynch a claimed watcher role, so for now he's off the hook for this FOS (I still don't like how he's pretty much defending anyone that people are focusing on without doing much casing)

Maybe you didn't notice, but I didn't have really much time to say I believed you before day 2...

I haven't seen the newest Indy movie...sounds like that's a good thing, LOL

It's ok if you can get past the fridge nuke and the monkeys.... It just has some weird moments, but it still has charm. No worse than Temple of Doom if you ask me.

*sniffs* I smell something fishy. A lot of interesting things happened during the day that I missed >.< Sorry had Army stuff to do. Though now it looks like I won't be gone as much now because of some stupid new rules... but that's good for playing mafia ^^

What fishy?
