I'll chime in here.  Basel, I've played a handful of games with you....but to be honest, I don't remember your schedule and that part of your meta is to not be around at certain times.

 

While Tommy was being a bit blunt with his observations, he's right - if you don't want your scheduling to work against you (and that is a very reasonable goal for you to have, I agree), then you'll need to be more up-front and obvious about it.

 

We only remember the schedules of the most obvious players that broadcast it often.  If you make yourself obvious town early when you are town, you won't have to worry about getting run up while you are gone - your play in the thread will speak for itself and town won't likely mislynch you.  But you play early games very suspiciously, and that will get attention.  If you are then not 100% up-front & obvious about your scheduling, then it will end with you annoyed.

 

I don't want to see anybody quit mafia - we all get worked up sometimes.  If you are not interested in altering your early game style, then maybe trying to broadcast your timing a bit more might help avoid the mislynches.  The problem arises when you're scum......town might think you're getting a bit of a handout by not being lynched at a time when the thread might be active and hungry for a lynch.  That is unfair to the town, so I hope you can see and understand that.

 

 

This makes sense. In all honesty, a good del of my initial post was just that nothing relieves what is eating at me like a good, solid rant. A properly delivered rant can be quite cathartic.

As for quitting mafia, I'm hoping to have a new job at some point in the future which might give me a better chance to check games. I'm not gone for good, but RL needs to resolve itself. In the meantime I might take a cue from my girl and start spectating some.

 

And I would love to see Mynd in a Champions game. Make it happen.

I gotta tell ya, it was quite embarrassing to play my last two games.  I started faking the funk big time in the GOT game and I paid the price.  Hence the baguette the fake account sneak in I did in amega/Kaylee's game.  This happened once before in a game Kivam ran.  I was so distracted with outside life stuff that I couldn't do what I normally do and yeah, it sucked. 

 

Still, a busy life should not be an excuse for improper gameplay  I don't want to ever half-arse a game again.
