I'm wondering about the part in dpr's scenes saying we were deceived. I dislike it honestly. It could be flavor but I doubt it DPR rarely does something because it sounds good.

Okay, just caught up. I quoted plenty of posts to reply to as I reread, but most of it is moot by now. I don't think Lily's comment about the CL role was scummy, given I thought the same thing about it - that it's likely not a real role. Then again, could be we're meant to think that.

 

I read the Nolder-John thing as two aggresive and likely townies players going at each other. I'd rather not dwell on it as I think it's derailed us enough for now, unless we decide to vote for one of them, which I don't advise, at this point.

 

Agreed that the idea of running people up is scummy.

Where I am used to playing 48 hours IS plenty of time, maybe it doesn't apply here.... especially given your started this post by claiming 3 pages in 12 hours was a lot. I'm used to higher volume... chalk it up to not playing at DM speed. I probably assumed wrong.

 

You play on JN right? From what I hear, we're used to playing much slower here. It's one reason I won't play on JN, I know I wouldn't have the time. DPR obviously intends to run a pretty fast game here, which is cool, but yes, we definitely don't play as hard and fast as JN does.

 

I'm not keen on this Tina lynch, but I can go that way if we need to. Problem is, most of the attention has been focused on Jack-Nolder-John, with a little bit of Blackhoof thrown in, and I'm not getting scum from any of them right now.

Alanna's first post on page 7 and already I'm seeing several things wrong with it

 

they are in chronological order (does that actually make sense?):

-supposedly reread and had many things she wanted to reply to but actually posted a very low content post

-buddies up to/defends lily (I've heard she's a good player so I see that as scummy)

-mentions the argument I got into with John but didn't choose to take a side either way (indecisiveness is a scumtell imo though this could be dismissed as not wanting to get involved)

-defends/buddies conquest (normally I'd write this one off as he is in fact new however given that he's also standing out for vote hoping I feel this may actually be more important than it seems at first glance)

-willing to vote for tina even though she doesn't want to lynch her

-more buddying with me, john, blackhoof, and jack

I'm going to vote Sakaea for now, and hopefully it'll go through. I had just decided she was probably the best bet at this point, when all this business about not being able to vote her came through. Boo.

Sorry for just checking back in, worked very late last night and then went out and was in no fit state for posting when I got finally got home LOL.

 

I just read through several pages and there didn't seem to be much there. No one is jumping out as scum to me right now. I don't really think there was much to the suspicions on Vamb, but that's just because I'll make fluff posts like that all the time, whether I'm scum or town.

 

It'll be interesting to see the outcome of this fast game.

the only thing that's actually noteworthy about this post is that she's still being indecisive and not claiming to see anyone as scummy

she also defended vambram a bit by admitting that she posts a lot of fluff posts herself (just because you admit it doesn't mean it's ok)

 

this also happens to be her last post so far

 

so in a game 19 pages long and 3 days old she's managed to post only 4 times and really only 2 of those posts were worth reading in my opinion

it's hard to tell if she's actually lurking since not enough time has passed to determine that in my opinion but I really don't like how she's not taking a stand on anything except to lightly defend people

 

and her only vote (usually this is accompanied by some kind of fos you know?) wasn't even laced with any accusation let alone a reason

the tone of it struck me as "might as well /shrug"

 

I'm not going to vote her now as I still have a few other people to reread first but that wasn't a very promising reread if you know what I mean

Considering DPR's reputation, I am certain that it was more than just flavor. So, that is something that I am going to have to be definitely thinking about as I keep on hunting for vampires.

That is correct. We did NOT get a read on 3 of those in the fast game thread. One of those three could be a vampire. But, I am not going to speculate further about that. Instead, I am going to change my vote off of John Mclane. I believe him when he said that he made an honest mistake concerning DPR's Call and Response alert.

As of right now I belive that I'm going to stay where I'm at, I really don't know why the group has swung out for tina because my phone won't show the pages before the last one so I can't go back to review. I haven't seen her posts and I won't vote for some one I haven't evaluated yet on d1 except for the contol lynch, so if there is a massive push for tina by 3 am mytime, I will change,

Jack, can you explain WHY you think running random people up to L-3 is a goodni idea? To me it seems scummy, but because you always seem scummy to me, I'd like to hear you out on this one.

 

 

 

Key, rep (reputation) is something on other sites. You can click a little + in the bottom corner to say you agree with the post. There is also a - for if you don't agree.

 

Lily, the way I see it if a player buys the CL role and it's real then it's gunna be a dominating force. The way to prevent that would be to run up random people to L-4 and give them a chance to say something before L-3. They can fake claim anything, but we would have a better idea at who might or might not be CL. If a player has spent under three VP then they can't be CL. Of course it sounds good on paper, but so did communism. I've been thinking about the mechanics of running people up and I believe it would distract from scum hunting this early in the game.

 

So I am still up for doing it, but I won't be the champion of it anymore. I think there needs to be a collective incentive to not purchase the CL role and I think we need to exercise methods of keeping it in check.

I find it odd that for someone who is apparently a vote hopper (I think he's had the most vote changes this game iirc) he is unwilling to place an early vote on yesterdays runner up for a lynch

I guess it makes sense if he didn't personally find her scummy (but then why was he willing to vote her yesterday and willing to hammer on sekaea? I don't get it)

it seems to be a trend with CQ that he'll just wait for others to do the work and then bandwagon

most of the scummy things Con has done can be written off as newbie mistakes and I wouldn't want to take him out of the game this early when he's still trying to learn stuff

Alanna on the other hand seems to be very experienced and while she may in fact be too busy to post much I see no harm in putting down a little pressure
