Yeah, and my re-read didn't help me much. A few little things are pinging me, but nothing I want to base a vote on. Yet.

YES.

Related to this game (lol):

I think it's interesting that so many of ya'll are getting pings. I have not at all really, except for Red discussion of a 'no lynch.' I can't see where that's helpful at all on day one. It would put us ..... right back to where we are right now, knowing nothing about anyone else. At least a random lynch might get us a scum, or give us a path for who to go after.

unvote, vote Red

Care to let us have a read at what is pinging you?

Also, it's damn hard to find anything in these posts. I'd agree with most people here(in my last post I stated aswell) that a No-Lynch would be detrimental, or at least not as desirable as a lynch on Day 1.

Ok, who wants to volunteer to go first?

Ok, honestly, I wouldn't say this pinged me, but it irritates me. No scum would actually volunteer to be lynched, or at least I highly, highly doubt it.

Second of all, Red's no lynch thing bothers me also.

And the people who haven't posted as much (berf, player, jack) I'm also suspicious of, cus scum don't have as much reason to be active right now.

So, anyone have any thoughts on any of this?

Posted

I'm here, watching, as I said. Red made some interesting rumblings, let me go dig them out and see if I still agree. I don't recall her advocating a no-lynch, though?

Maybe when in find the post I'll be proven wrong though.

*toddles off to find interesting things*

OK.

So Red wasn't really advocating a no-lynch, just putting the option out there, which to me is neither here nor there.

I thought Moon and Min were a bit iffy, but Moon has calmed a bit, and min explained herself well enough for me to leave it.

I'm very sus on Blackhoof though. Vote's jumping all over the place, a lot of posts contributing nothing but gabble, as if to say "Hey I'm no threat, just a dude laughing it up! Isn't this great guys?"

Plus the whole forgetting to unvote thing. Blackie has played enough games for that to be a confusing-sowing technique, rather than newbness.

Anyway, vote Blackhoof. Lets see what shakes out.

That actually really bothered me too about what Wombat said. It just seemed a really offhand comment that served no purpose other than to start pushing for votes.

I can't believe I didn't even really give this that much attention. Doing a reread, it makes me much more suspicious of Blackhoof.

All in all, I think my eyes are most on Wombat, Blackhoof, and Min. Going to wait and see though before I cast my vote.

Yes GF I'm anticipating night. Get day 1 random quotefest over. Why do scum have to be waiting for night? Can't finders, lie detectors, bogs and other roles be excited?

I know GF already sort of touched on this, but I wanted to point it back out again. I know that there is numerous roles that have fun at night, and I can see that being a good excuse, but I still really have a bad feeling about you saying this. This has added JackD to my list of suspicion.

Well, to be honest i havent put much thought into this game. im too busy getting down with my other ones, so i just check in and say something odd. besides- it is day 1, no real action happens today.

But hey, actually now we really are doing something else than quoting (I was sure it would take a lot more time though)!

Maybe because of the quoting, there hasn't been really that much things that have pinged me. Only that really made me stop and go back was Womb's comment, but it has already been pointed out. So for now,

Vote Wombat

i agree that Red's comment about voting for no lynch was a bit odd, but he just pointed out that we have the option. Had he voted for it, it would be different..

ModGod, I UNVOTED way back on p.4.

I really mean to be picky here, but you know, page numbers are based on user settings. Better to say your post number.

I did not know that! I'll have to go back and check it, but I swear I really did unvote. I just want to make that clear so that I can have a real vote later. And speaking of that...

Yes, I agree. Jack_D, your comments are incriminating. I dont think I'm the only one now kinda wary of what you can do to us at night. Unless this is a jester role of some type where Jack_D is deliberately trying to get himself lynched, I'd say this was a super scummy tell. I'll withhold my vote for now because I do have my eye on others, but I'm leaning heavily in this direction.

*laughs in a self assured manner and canters her horse around the area*

FA-HA put a line out there with the no-lynch and the scum are sure to bite. note thy reactions to just a flicker of a mention of this idea and see the vial responses it has garnered. first we have two metagammers who try to use my 1 sentence brief mentioning of this heated debated topic to paint me as scum. *shakes a finger in their direction* mettagamming will bite thy in the buttocks one day to be sure.

then we have others twisting my words saying i was highly, mind you, highly advocating we do such a thing and then pushing a vote on my as well. my, my. beat the grass a bit and the snakes do startle rather easily to be sure.

i have done my re-read and will be back shortly if i can to quote which of you have not only pinged my radar but smashed it with a duck carryinga sludge hammer. but for now, work and duty calls!!

Talley-ho and all that good rubbish!!

I look scummy. :)

I'll be overjoyed for night honestly. We are just now getting to some meat after posts and posts of quotes. I like fast day 1s. More often then not your going to lynch town. Day 1 is crazy random day. You've got nothing really to go un because you don't have voting or posting patterns down yet. So why waste time with the inevitable? I think in all the games I've ever played, I think I've lynched scum twice on day 1.

General scummy behavior: Blackhoof and red. Red either has a PR, or she's faking one IMO. Blackhoof and his consistent vote hoping is mildly scummy.

That's all I've got

I think red is either having fun, or has a role.

And Blackie, I am underwhelmed. Just sayin'.

Well I gather folks are considering the prime suspects. I think things can start happening more quickly if we narrow down on a few suspects and discuss them, hopefully not all town. As far as I could see, there's some 15 votes of the 25 cast at the moment, though spread out so that nothing is near decided. I gather the moment someone leads the votes with a margin to the next that those not voted can't sway it, the hammer falls.

Well, I'll need to do a reread. I'm still considering wombat by some hunch, I wonder if there could have been a classical case of scum voting scum early on to avoid suspicion but not so late they can't revote however the day went, but I'll stick to my current vote for now.

Posted

My vote is staying where it is for now. Who knows about Red and her role. She always acts suspicious to me.

Posted

Jack, day one is valuable no matter how you look at it. And you pushing for night either means you don't want more time on day one because you're mafia, or you have a good role and oh looky... 'teh mafia' are now focused on you for that.

I'm really looking at those who blew Red's no-lynch mention out of proportion. In no way did she advocate it, she just mentioned it after saying we ignored her previous scum-hunting. LOL to those who fell into the trap and ended up voting for her. But "meh". I like it when no lynch is brought up day one, it provides options and gets discussion going, but it is never really a good idea, in my opinion.

My current pingers? Jack, Moon, Blacky, somewhat Min. I believe in that order, too.

Yep yep.

Ok, so we've reached page 10 without anything major happening and without any real voting list, so I am saving a date.

Hmm, I'm not entirely sure who is pinging me at the moment. Had a couple of odd moments but nothing really worth noting.

We have Black's odd voting - though that doesn't say much. He may be just be wanting to get the game up and running. In any case, switching votes all the time isn't a wolfy activity. Any villager could do this as much as any wolf. However, I'll keep this in mind in case anything further up the line by him arouses suspicion.

We have Red and her suggestion of No-Lynch. There was nothing scummy about the suggestion(though I don't think a No-Lynch should be used) in my eyes. However, the fact she came out not long after and revealed her 'ploy' wasn't a particularly good move. She should have waited for longer, to see how many others 'fell' for it. The people who voted Red for this are mildly suspicious in my eyes. This move also makes me wary of Red - it could be a move by scum to frame innocents for the lynch.

Saying this, I have no real target at the moment. I always tend to focus on the lurkers/less active players on day 1, so I'll have to go and re-read the thread so far to get an idea who these are.
