The Top 100 Most Used Word(s) or Phrases

Great idea from another post. The top 100 most used words or phrases from WoT. And BTW, I'm not bashing Robert Jordan - every writer is guilty of over using certain words or phrases but few have been prolific enough to be noticed. After 11 books, a couple of million words, yeah, we start to notice.

 

Here's my contributions:

 

"Fists on hips"

sensed "through the bond"

"smoothed her skirts"

mirrored stand lamps

sea folk porcelain

I noticed the word reluctant in ToM:

He was reluctant to...

He reluctantly did...

He showed reluctance to...

Sometimes I thought everything was done reluctantly.

Those three do come to mind.

You would think there would be bald patches on her head by now.

Good one, even if you add in "Aes Sedai" before "Serenity." You are talking about a bender that would make survivors of the USS Indianapolis wish for the ocean.

I can't count how many times that phrase has been used in relation to Elayne.
