I think we have to get away from this compulsion WIFOM. Its even more compllicated and clutered with half info then day two's reveals. The mafia are leading us in circles. We need to step back.

So far we have sucessfully lyched one scum. We should back track to that info and drop all the confusion.

I think we should target either Black, Alanna or Drew.

All of them have been pinging my scumdar for 2 days now, they each came in late when we lynched David. Black was not very active day 2 but Drew and Alanna constantly struck me as scum that day.

You KNOW it's gonna be bad when Red WARNS you her posts are going to be long. O.O Jeez louise! Would it be possible for you to just sit on the game 24/7 and just comment to each reply as it comes out? No? You have a life outside of DM? Where can I get one?!?

With Aemon's little way around his obvious compulsion I guess I'll take my finger off of Mynd. I don't like how he was acting but for now I'll accept Aemon's words. I never 100 percent believe even a confirmed finder. I've been bit one too many times by trusting in this game... but I'll just put him on a backburner.

Maybe what I should have said was "They are leading us around by the nose". What I meant was, that all we are really doing is reacting. Someone is compulsed one day, then someone else, so we say lets lynch one and see if the Mafia maybe are trying to hide themselves in the open, or maybe trying to throw suspicion on someone, or they could be trying to get us to lynch a townie and then laugh up there sleeves at us, or maybe its another reason I cant even fathom. Either way we are only using half of the info to lynch someone.

What I want is for us all to step back and try to get a fresh place to start with.

Verb - i'll except the explination for now as it makes sense. heres another question though. what do you think about Aemons post about having veiwed Mynd? what type of control did the Compulsionist have over your defence for voting Aemon; could it be possible that Aemon is being forced to say that about Mynd being veiwed as innocent?

Lol Red, we have a saying for people like you with your errors: PEBKAC

 i hope thats a good thing  cause i have no idea what that means

I mostly trust Aemon right now, but Mynd could be a godfather (Nae'blis?) and sometimes the godfather reads innocent to finders. Just something to keep in mind.

Good question, and I'm not sure. The control over me was just to vote Aemon and not state I was being controlled. If the player able to do this has more options, then they might have learned and adapted, but I really think the control is just a vote hijack.

In my opinion, Aemon is operating under the Compulsion to vote Mynd, and let us know he's being controlled by stating he viewed Mynd....which I'm thinking he did.

So, now you are questioning pretty much what I was questioning before? Its possible that I am compelling Aemon but not possible for Verb or Aemon to be faking the whole thing? I don't get your inconsistency here....

Mynd, the obvious solution is that Compulsion is available in this game (not a far stretch considering the source material, right?) and that folks will get hit by it. There is a way to notice it, so we shouldn't really concern ourselves overly with it.

The simplest and most direct solution is often the correct one. Occam's Razor ftw.

Trench is currently making the most sense. All the focus on this Compulsion chaos is not helping us today (Day 3, not Wednesday). I plan to play this day out without making that big a deal of the Compulsion stuff, as it will be more useful when we know more.

With that in mind...

Verbal is just one vote, and by not making an arguement, methinks we have a novice in the role of Doyle. I must say that in the Heroes game, Doyle was played beyond my expectations and it is unfortunate that he didn't win the game. Naeann can confirm that compulsion, or mind control, or the like, cannot control every aspect of one's actions. Verbal being uncharacteristically Verbal, even after being called out on it, makes a perfect case for compulsion.

I can't believe that out of everyone who targeted Aemon and/or Red last night that there isn't at least one that has its source from the Dark One. I believe Ed is innocent. I believe Songs. I'm lukewarm on Kwom, but it makes sense. Quibby and Piano?

unvote (just in case)

Vote DaPianoPlay3r

Anyone got a better target?

This is the post that opens the bandwagon floodgate; most of the votes for Player after this are of the "me, too" variety, with little argument or reasoning. While brief, Mynd's argument does make some sense; the high number of night actions occurring on those two people would seem to indicate that there should have been at least one scum. Based on only one kill on Night Two and comments from the Lord Our Mod after Fain's untimely demise, I don't think (at this time) that there will be more than one scum kill per night (vigilantes and items disregarded for the moment, as none have presented yet). However, I digress.

Mynd's post (the 4th against Player), coupled with the timing, was permission for the bandwagon to form. In rapid succession, we get votes from Krak, Vambram, and Locke. A little more discussion, and then comes Alanna, Blackhoof, and bg. These are the players that I am going to focus on for now, as this is the area that I expect scum to be found.

I will discount Krak for now because he was the first to jump on, and I wouldn't expect scum to want that particular distinction. Vambram has been bugging me, so we'll add him to the short list. Locke occasionally sends mixed signals, but not as strongly as others. Still, we'll add him to the list, too. Alanna has not pinged me yet in this game. Blackhoof not only pinged me (see post #777[/ur] on page 39), but hit a siren while he was at it.

So my short list consists of:

Vambram

Locke

Blackhoof

Since Vambram and Locke are more nagging suspicions than anything concrete, I am going to go ahead and vote Blackhoof.

This does not necessarily excuse Mynd, but I don't feel that he would be the most informative target today. (Blackhoof isn't exactly informative, but he reads more suspiciously to me).

Yes people, let's broaden our horizons. I'm inclined to believe the compulsions so far, however more days will provide more clarity. Same with Mynd. If we're concerned Aemon might be being compulsed about saying he's Innocent, then let's wait a day and see what he says then.

Re-read Day 1. After Red revealed she knew Aemon wasn't Rand, the following people (if my memory serves; correct me if there is an error) jumped on: Verbal, Mynd, Alanna, Drew, and Blackhoof (in no particular order). TMD later hops on board when the vote is starting to lean towards David.

Unvote

Of that list, TMD I think is most likely to be scum but will also provide the least info. Blackhoof is next and others seem to be agreeing on that point of subject.

Side note: I don't think the scum team is all 13 Forsaken as not all were very involved in books 1-6 like Demandred (we think.... ;)) Semirhage and Mesaana.

why Alanna & Drew??

Ok bare with me here, I'll lay out why I singled out Black, Drew and Alanna

Day 1. Our first big discussion was between Aemon and Red, regarding Aemons reveal as the DR votes began to rack up on Red. All three jump on the bandwagon once its going. Red convinces us enough to unvote her. from there we start the David lynch, which was sucessful and we killed Be'lal. All three join this lynch after its formed and rolling.

Day 2. This was chaos, there is no other way to describe it. I admidt before hand that I was the first person to Vote for Min. But in the end we went in on a lynch with a 1 in 5 chance of sucess. We had shacky info and we went ahead and lynched nearly blind. Again all 3 come in once the wagon is rolling and all 3 vote player right in the middle. 7 votes were on Min and within 12 hours all of them had voted for Min.

Day 3. Here we are again trying to make a choice half blind. The only thing tangible that we have to go on is the vote count. Trying to make a guess between compuled players, silent players and the targets of the compulsed. There is no way to make a solid choice on maybes and mights.

I can put these 3 together by their own votes. They seem to me to coordinated and always in the middle. So I FOS them all as a 3 man scum team (Seanchan?) or just part of the main mafia team. Im not going to vote ny of them now, but this is where my mind is and I think its better then trying to run on hal info like we did on day 2.

Vote Count

Blackhoof (1): bgrishinko

Mynd (3): Aemon, Red, Locke

Vambram (1): Mynd

Deadline is Friday at noon EST

With 31 alive, it takes 16 to lynch

BG had previously unvoted blackhoof during the Mynd suspicions. But he is more than happy to reinstate his vote. He VOTES BLACKHOOF.

Well don't that just beat all.

Were you forced to reveal today or did it just seem convinent?

I was not forced to reveal today, but I waited until I got a better feel for the different players of the game. Now that I see the pattern better, I decided to reveal myself today to let everyone know that I am the Dragon Reborn.

What was your motivation to reveal? You weren't about to be lynched or anything.
