She isn't going to vote for herself :P

The reason I find YOU suspicious Aemon is because YOU were the second vote when there where several other people with one vote a well. I can't help but feel that since you voted second and put her the closest to being lynched that people soon followed.

Talk about an overly easy way to lead town and mafia to an easy lynch.

At the moment? Either an inactive or you, maybe Ed. Inactive meaning someone quiet, for clarification. But I don't think people are checking enough to be able to shift votes over. I think you and Ed and others overreacted to a vote which I took off when Tal came over to the thread. I wasn't trying to snowball a lynch, only get stuff going, but you're lynching me for that? Seems a little over the top, methinks. I think judging on that, those that, like you, threw a hissy fit should be the focus of this lynch, not me.

Even FUNNIER, is that some have stated how they know I'm probably town yet VOTE ANYWAYS? That's insane. It's like saying you don't want to judge those voting for an innocent, so you instead join them on the lynch list to see what happens. Not a great position, if I may say so myself. Aren't we supposed to be hunting scum?

Edit: this was in response to Aemon, not Limi

I've actually done that before, to throw votes off myself, but I don't think I'm allowed to. Plus, I think I'm L1.

What I find interesting is the Aemon/Ed tag team...

I've already explained how I came to my vote....I may not be ecstatic about my vote, but there really is no where else to go.

I'd rather vote for that small oddity.

Let's see...

MCS and Arlow have posted 1 time

Song 2 times

Kat, Key and Alanna 3 times, and Tal 4.

After that, it's Tigs, Limi, Aemon, Ed, and Me, with increasing numbers of posts.

First of all, what do MCS and Arlow think on the situation? The same goes for Song? I already heard from Kat and Alanna, but are they still willing to vote for an innocent? I would much rather lynch an inactive than myself. We're 83(?) posts into the game, those are poor odds, when you've only contributed to .1% of the player posts (subtracting Amadine's) with only one the whole game so far.

To clarify, basically what Kathleen said is correct. I realize Lily did something similiar in another game, voting inactives to get them to come play, but that was on Day 3 or something, and these people had already posted earlier in the game and then dropped off. They obviously knew the game was on, were likely still following along, but not posting. But this is Day 1, the game had barely started, so it seemed likely Talmanes just didn't realize there was a game thread yet.

That said, I didn't find it incredibly scummy thing, but it's Day 1, so we don't have much to go on. Everyone was talking about who are we going to lynch; I tried to find something we could go far. That's how Day 1 is played. I may seem like overreacting to something not incredibly scummy, but what else was there to go on, at that point?

Anyhow. Now I see I am in the uncomfortable position of hammering AJ, which I'm not happy about. It seems incredibly likely that Lelaine is in this game, so it would be a pretty odd false claim for mafia to make.

Since we still have something like 6 or 7 hours (the timestapms on DM are never set right for me, so I'm never sure what it means when it says 'so many hours left'), though, I'm choosing not to hammer her at the moment. I'm going to VOTE MCS because he's been so inactive. After all this, I really don't think Alanna is scum. If my vote is needed for a hammer, I'll do it, but I'm going to wait for now.

Gah you must've posted while I was typing up my response, AJ. I might be thinking of a different game, but isn't Song being replaced by someone?

Well, this sucks. I was really hoping some others would decide to go with me on lynching an inactive. But, I said I would hammer if necessary, so I will. I think there are still a few hours til the deadline, but I really have to go to bed, it's past 1 in the morning here. UNVOTE, VOTE AJ.

SOrry, AJ, because I really do think you're telling the truth, but I still think a controlled lynch is better than a randon modkill, and though it would be better to hit scum, it's certainly not the first time a Day 1 lynch ends up hitting town.

Damn thread is still not showing up in the stupid 'my content' thing.

God I miss the 'unread replies' thing.

Well a lot seems to have gone on lately. I guess we'll find out about Lannie in a bit since she is hammered.

I think how she went about getting lynched should give us some solid info though.

Day is ended, scene coming....

Please welcome Talya replacing Song and i am looking for a replacement for MCS also - if you know anyone who would like to play tell them to shoot me a PM.

With 12 players you need 7 to lynch.

It was a long day, having found Anayia and her Warder dead in the camp that morning the whispering began. To begin no one spoke loudly but as the day progressed one Aes Sedai stood out. Some believed nothing she said, other’s decided that it was for the good of the investigation that Lelaine die, regardless of her alignment. Try as she might Lelaine could not convince the group. As dusk settled on the camp she watched, horrified, Lelaine saw the glow of Saidar surround a trio of her sisters, linked, they slammed a shield between Lelaine and the source and held it tight, Lelaine began to fight and flows of air suddenly held her tight while a Warder casually ran her through.

Lelaine Akashi - AJ - Lightsworn was dead.

Night one has begun - i will not release a deadline until a replacement for MCS is found, please point anyone who would like to play towards my PM box.

Also my apologies for not being online earlier - my husband had a hernia repair operation this afternoon and we were out visiting him at the hospital.

Hello all, I have had a read of the thread. I didn't see what AJ did as suspicious, however I can understand some of the votes on her due to the short time and wanting to get a lynch.

I'm at work, so it's hard for me to go abck and forwards, so if I get something wrong please say.

The ones that stood out for me were the ones earlier on who said that they believed AJ but voted anyway for her. Limi and Kat are the two main ones. though I will reread again when I get home tonight. I'm not sure about AJ's Aemon and Ed thing. I've seen Aemon vote people to put a bit of pressure on, but this didn't seem like it...just different, so I'm not sure about that. Ed, maybe I will get more when I read again.

Another and this I don't know why, is Keyholder, but that is just a feeling rather than anything else!

I did believe Aj was not acting scummy and that she was just trying to get us talking about something, and I did vote for her. I explained it at the time. At the time I voted I knew I wouldn't get back on before deadline and Aj was the one with the most votes. I knew my vote wouldn't be the one to lynch her. I do what I think is best for the town, and if that means that I vote for someone who I believe is town then I do it. If I had someone else that I was suspicious of I would have voted for them, but I had no one else at that point and so the next option for me was to help consolidate votes to get a controlled lynch.

On day one I always try to get a controlled lynch. Yes I hope that it will be on a Mafia player, but I know the odds are against that. I also know the odds of a random lynch are against that too. We have to lose someone on day one and I would rather it be someone that was chosen and not just a random.org decision. With random we really have nothing at all to go on or talk about day two and so we effectively have day one all over again. If we pick a townie on Day one at least we have something to discuss on Day two. With the way these games are set up there is more chance of getting a townie on day one, and not much time to find scum on day one. I feel that with a controlled lynch, even if I believe they are town we have more info to move forward.

Silly question. Does anyone know how to print the thread. You used to be able to do it on DM7 can it be done here too, or am I looking in vain!
