points i missed: maybe it seems rehearsed because we know each other that well and are used to dancing together. i talk to him the whole tome he mods a game i am in.

 

that or it is a good way for people to use our reps against us. take it as you will. i am who i have always been.

 

also to quibs, if it discredits you for another player to point out a suspicious action, then maybe the action should be looked at. it is my job in a game to point out what i see to benefit the team i am on. it does not help my team if they miss something and i could have helped but did not.

 

last point to quibs. try not to be so keen on pushing those reps as your main basis for arguments when your whole arguement is about the reps. it is distracting when you seem to be sending a different message than the one you are sending. ;) i, at least, am not all that scary.

Who said anything about trying to do Lavi's job?  Lavi's job is to convince people that Thorum is guilty.  I'm pointing out a possibility of what might be happening.  You're both reading as suspicious to me at the moment, so I am voicing a worst-case scenario.

 

Like Hybrid suggested, this is pretty much a no-lose situation for the Town.  Any way we slice it, we end up with a scumbag gone.  Do you think there is a better option?

My thoughts tend to hop around like a frog in a frying pan (until its flippers stick, that is.)  You stuck in my mind because of the pretty red highlightey-thingie that came right after mine.  It's possible to come to the conclusion of, "You're scum" for anybody like that.  That being said, I'm still wondering about you, but you're not causing the klaxons to klax and the red lights to go spinny-spinny.

Ugh... That happened to quickly. Alys just for your peace of mind and since others have already gone this far. My dead corpse was robbed. I had not used anything at the time. I don't think I had posted after DPR so this is going to be interesting once I go and re-read everything.

 

I don't think we should have lynched Thorum that quickly, yes he is probably scum. However I do think we should have payed more attention to the PR's. I'll make a nice long post later. Especially analyzing DPR and Alys... more was going on than the surface shows. There is a lot going on and I'll try to catch it all. See you all in a bit.

They turned to see Thorum no longer huddled in the corner.  Instead, he stood erect and proud before them, lips peeled back in a rictus snarl, eyes aglow, hands beating a hideous tattoo on his chest and thighs. 

 

I don't think anyone would be able to tell you who moved first.  They came at him like a wave flowing over a rock,  pummeling him with fists and feet and whatever they could get their hands on. And still, through it all, the mad chanting continued.  'Cthulhu fhtangn!  Cthulhu fhtagn! Cthulhu fhtagn!'

 

Thinking to finally shut him up, they snatched Thorum's broken body off the ground, exclaiming in disgust at the slimy feel of his skin, and threw him head first into a hogshead of water.  Suddenly, the men holding his shoulders down gasped and fell back, allowing us all to see the blasphemous gills opening and closing along the sides of his neck. 

 

As the men fell back, Thorum exploded up out of the water, chanting all the while.  He might have been able to kill them all, then, if not for two things.

 

The first was the gunshot that ripped

through even the sound of that elongating mantra before tearing through his chest, leaving it a bloody ruin.

 

The second . . . ah, the second was that he didn't want to."

 

He looked up then, eyes intense. "Do you understand what I'm telling you, boy?  He had more than enough time to take two or three others down, had he wanted to.  But he didn't.  He stood and waited for the final blow, ecstasy in his eyes, chanting and chanting.  And then he died."

And she wasn’t doing that. You were. I think you are missing my point here. I find it hard to trust a finder who did not do her job until after other people stepped in, even asked others (who she ostensibly cannot trust)to do that job for her, and the people who tried to do that made it seem more like a set up than real townies being helpful.

Yes, but I’d prefer to not walk blindly in. It’s a rare occurrence for me to do so. Not that I ended up with much choice. We went from 7 to lynched in less than 12 hours.

 

And there is more voting weirdness. DPR, Danya, ed… I am going to assume that since Danya got 2 while ed and DPR got none, there is someone else out there who has a double vote.

I am still shouting caution to those of you who would rather use the relics than save them against need. I think we need them intact to prevent the mafia from winning… Not that anyone appears to be listening…

Well I think it is safe to assume that the vessel isn't mafia and so they have that win condition. So let us speculate. Can the finder identify the Vessel? If so they're an equal threat staying alive as the mafia is. I am going to assume the second condition has to do with the relics. Either they need a certain relic or a set of relics. I am going to assume some relics are expendable and others aren't. Now...

 

I'm not sure how much we can talk about relics, however I think it only refers to any that we might have.

 

I don't know how or under what conditions I came back, but I would like to assume it was a relic and not a persons role. That being said, I don't think this was a one time use relic. Or that the person who had it was way to scared of getting it stolen. The reason I say this is because I think I would be a terrible person to resurrect. You should all agree: I'm new, play weird, and wasn't very valuable to the town being vanilla. I also don't think many people think I have much in the way when it comes to skill with this game *Shrugs* That and the lynch there are no hard feelings for. Like others have said clean slate right?

 

Relics are unique and an important aspect to this game. The mafia are going to try and confuse us about their alternate win condition. I would guess a set of 3 relics. I'm not that familiar with this theme so if anyone has some clues as to what they would be please help.

I had a thought about the known-only-to-mafia win condition too...

 

Meaning I think they need all the relics for that second win condition.

I've re-read the PM's so I think I'm in bounds here -  I PM'd Kivam to claim any relics that Al had after he got lynched (Ironically, I did this only after Kivam posted to remind everybody that they could...  :P )

 

Whatever happened next was not important...it really didn't matter...and was certainly not important. I can't really say anything other than that...

two. you successfully steal from a player. you are the first. you get the relic. but wait! you were targeted, so the targeter (player c- third holder ) keeps it. all you get is info on the relic and a note saying it was stolen.

I got the relic from[/] him - he can confirm that (since he doesn't lie...)

 

And that relic did not kill or revive anybody. Not even close.

Yeah, I can explain it.

 

1. As per her admission. Alys stole from yesterday. She got a used relic in return - which is amazing - THAT IT WAS USED - and that I can't talk about it.

 

Wonder who else knew I couldn't talk about it...

 

2. Then, magically, Alys whips up all kinds of mysterious drama trying to frame me.

 

3. And what do you know? I appear to have voted for Alys, even though I never cast that vote. And it looks like I can't change it..

 

So, and I'm just reaching here, I'd say Alys is making a move to knock me out of the game?

 

1. I was lynched

2. DPR PM'ed in to steal from my corpse (I never posted after him)

3. Since it was taking from a corpse it was an immediate action.

4. DPR got an unused relic and used it.

5. Alys stole it and found it used/empty.

 

I have no problems toeing this line hopefully a warning will come before lightning bolts. Alys I can't answer your question because I don't know the answer to your question. However if I had to deduce things along with what I looked up I would nod right now.

 

 

Ok, now that is done with I can talk about the interaction between you two. I don't think this was 'staged' however it did come across poorly. Alys anyone taking their time could have figured out what you were hinting at, being open would have been less... confusing and dramatic. Those two things are mafia tactics. However I'm inclined to believe that you're innocent for now. DPR... meh, you lie. You have changed your mind and have made false statements. Nothing horrible that indicates mafia just your play style, right now I don't trust you.

DPR was supposed to play ball and make it not so long and drawn out… Didn’t work. Bah. Failed plan. I didn’t want to have to fully explain because there were feasible explanations without making him look scummy. If he needed to be painted as scum, I would have done so upon his answers. Instead, he didn’t play with me and made us both look bad. That said, how can anyone think that was a set up? Two scum would not make themselves look bad in such a manner as it would not benefit either of them.

That’s the biggest thing that bugged me about it all. He could have made up a feasible lie very easily the whole time and just ended it. Or instead of dust comments, he could have said, “I cannot say due to the rules.”  Instead he lied here a little, danced there a little, then appeared forthcoming, then danced some more… WTF?

Well this time I agree Alys, however mafia players do weird things all the time. Sometimes really obvious things that you just know they wouldn't do and then they get away with it. Take nothing for granted right? As for how people thought that... You both were talking secretly about something and everyone was to curious about the secret to actually read what you were posting. Bars with nothing worthwhile, pirates, etc. Plus earlier, night one, DPR posted saying you two had talked about the mafia's unknown win condition however I saw no such posts. I can go and get the quote if you want. Either way I think it was and is reasonable of people.

 

For me, I wonder why you would trust anything DPR would tell you. What if he would have said it did bring me back to life? Could anyone really argue with that? Well I could but we have to tip toe things and stave off boogie men...

 

 

Now last one, I'm assuming he has something to hide. You were really vague when you started questioning him and he took a little while to catch on and went reading all over to find what you were talking about. Plus how would he know he could trust you? As it is I am inclined to think DPR isn't town aligned.

My actions in this game do not have any standing on how much I like or dislike you, quite simply, I went after you because your actions appeared scummy to me. I am however, re-evaluating my position, as Thorum flipped scum and apparently I missed where you unvoted Thorum.
