Roles like the Cop, Doc, Psychic*,  Bus Driver, Hot Potato, Gunsmith*, Bunyip, Mathematician, and Traffic Analyst, may well use their stuff tonight, and then have to pass their roles onto someone else.

 

The Wolves want to appear in sheep's clothing, so that the Townies trust it... And here are you are, making a WOT joke about about finding some trustworthy accepted to give these PR's to? PR's that, Turin quickly latched onto the idea that they can hoard, distribute, and then remove from the game with NK's?

Why ignore the point that a wolf wouldn't want to appear to eager for roles? You seem to be flailing to try and make some sus stick without putting a lot of effort into it.

I blow off mechanics until I have to because speculating on the unknowable is not that interesting to me.  But I also see villages routinely blow solved games because wolves killed everyone who understood the actual mech and replaced it with their own misinformation.

 

Point being mech doesn't matter now but should always be reviewed in the late game.

Somehow, I didn't even see that that last line in your post, because I was focused on that first paragraph when I was quoting you.

 

True, wolves don't want to look "Eager" for those roles, but here you gave them an easy in. You just proposed the idea that people "pass the parcel" to people that you think are "trust worthy", those "Wolves in sheep's Clothing" if you will.

 

(Note: I never said you were the wolf in sheep's clothing in my original post)

However, I did mention that you joked about the whole "wot accepted", and even then, that was a call back to the "pass the parcel" non-sense that I believe Ithillian brought up from earlier pages, and when it comes down to it, That kind of joke, paired with what you said in the bottom of that post, is really just "deflection from responsibility", combined with a wolf move to direct passable Night actions to team mates.

So yeah.. I felt it what you said was sus. Does this make you Mafia!Heavy? No, not right now. But it doesn't make you Town!Heavy either.
Statistically, the odds of Town accidently sending it to Mafia are something like 23~30%, that's not factoring in Symp, or other manipulations going on...

Understandable. I'm new enough Mafia game mechanics, and role mechanics in general that even knowing how bus driver worked last game was confusing as hell to me. (I also literally thought that no majority meant no day lynch! lolz)

 

That's why I was trying to get on the same page regarding the win state.

That greatly simplifies the chaos!

 

Working through the chaos, I figured out that...

Mafia will inherently know the game state and how close they are to winning/losing.

Town won't know the game state, and won't know how close they are to winning/losing.

 

You could say... I'm stumped on the Tree Stump or Restless Spirit thing.

Having less people talking might be a good thing.

BUT. Lets say you lose Town!Darthe, and you're left with a bunch of Slanky Town? Do you really want Town!Darth going Restless spirit?

I typically agree. I wanted to make a point folks who are deceased and either talking or voting cannot be trusted. That’s as far as I want to take mechanics speak at this point.
