If you are suggesting that they wasted their shot on you, well done. If only you had not removed all the WIFOM they had about why their shot failed by needing to claim because your big brain gambit trolled town so much you were going to get eliminated (of course, had the wolves failed to NK you they would not have been eager to eliminate you, so glad you took care of that possibility). You must be really proud how you royally screwed the pooch. I know I would be. Maybe next game try something that works? Novel idea I know, have you heard on JN it is worse? For some reason that is a popular excuse for terrible play.

I have no doubt that my loveliness would not be a factor if someone actually thought I was a mafia. 

 

But i will explain my day 1 vote again.

 

I honestly believed Marsh was mafia because he came and defended you out of nowhere. Even he acknowledged this looked suss as heck. He explained he wanted to see if anyone tagged along after my vote. I didn't believe him. I still thought he was mafia.

 

The deadline was at 3am so there was no way I was gonna be on at Deadline to react to anything. I am very glad that Darthe brought the deadline forward so I can be there now now and have my say on the things that occur there. Although I do have to have a nap before.

 

I put my vote on someone I thought was mafia and I went to bed.

 

When I woke up, I saw that Dice had initially been the lead charge but he'd claimed cop and so that was that.

 

And then it was Marsh that was Lynched and he turned out to be Town.

Anyway, I am drawing a line under my involvement in this game. I can feel that my WiM is threatening to turn into my burn-everything-to-the-ground. I don't want to go there.

Not speaking for DPR (well, I guess I am), but this is actually true.  JN is very polar opposites - we either play amazingly well, or horrendously bad.  There's no in-between.  On DM, we typically play in the middle more often.

See, to me this exemplified a townie thought process and revising his reads and results accordingly.  Just jumping on his as he can only be scum (my main issue with you D1) is what has you in that "I want everybody on his train dead" thing.

But I didn't just jump on him. My first thought was it was Heavy who was/is Mafia.

 

And when I saw what I thought was a better prospect I changed my vote from Heavy to Marsh. And he even said yeah I am so suss, but what I'm actually doing is this. But I didn't believe him.

 

And I did believe I had found a Mafia.

 

I'm not trying to be absolutist about the whole thing and I get what you are saying.

 

But I didn't have a lot to go on at the time. The whole Dice thing went off when I'd already gone to bed.

 

So I went with my best shot at Mafia at the time.

 

I am trying to be better now, because i made a mistake. This is my first game in over 10 years lol.

 

I am even double checking and looking back for stuff and quoting. I am working to find all the Mafia now instead of yup! That's one. Game solved lol

I skimmed along yesterday (and got busted by my wife for reading the game during church) but I'm gonna catch up for real now. At least on the most recent 10 pages or so. Most of what happened on Saturday was a big waste of time thanks to all the WIFOM about Turin. 

 

What's caught my eye so far: The quotes in this spoiler are a really good look from Ithi. She was initially taken in by Tigraine's whole Turin thing, then considers it and comes to the conclusion that it isn't worth lynching over. That's a pro-town move. As scum, it would be soooo easy to take the excuse for another mislynch, especially if Tig or Heavy happens to be also scum. It would take pressure off them. I'm moving Ithi from null to town lean based on this.
