Side question: is the dictionary thing in part due to translation? I think your Scottish living in Netherlands and this is an English language forum. My only other language is a bit of secondary school Spanish so I only think in one language. Genuinely curious, but of course if im overstepping just ignore this.

Lol, that isn't what I was saying either - I was saying that even when I was involved in NAI activities, not trying to cast shade or read or whatever, people were finding me suspicious. And I did wonder about the implications of that outside of the game, but it is hardly relevant here.

Scottish people speak English I should point out here, in case that is a misunderstanding - I'm not a Gael and even they are fully fluent in English. Having to learn another language late in life probably doesn't help, but most of problems come from the fact that my vocabulary soaks up words from a lot of different sources so I am not always sure if I am using words entirely correctly without a dictionary. That probably sounds odd to a lot of people, but that is the way my brain works.

Thanks Heavy. I wasn't trying to criticise your English ability. Sorry if it came across that way. I didn't really understand the dictionary thing and was trying to in order to help understand how you get your points across as it is a bit different from mine.

well, yes as someone that knew the alignments in the game and had read along, I suppose it took me by surprise, which it shouldn't have done.

 

Look it's early on in the game. So not much is "damning" as it were at this stage but I do think one can pick up on nuances. Could be luck, could be good intuition or merely just a lot of past experience with a specific player that helps.

 

I do find it odd that you think it's not valid to find you suss if you're not actively playing/hunting wolves. So yeah, that in itaelf, especially if the behavior continues would most definitely have implications. Early on in the joking phase, agreed, prolly not significant.

 

You seemed to have caught up well on the abbreviations which is nice. I think you'll need a few more games under your belt to better understand the game dynamics. For instance, sometimes a player would vote you to gauge your reaction as part of the process of trying to read you. It's not necessarily coming from a bad place/scum trying to get you dead.

 

Now, I want to kill nasties. Help would be kindly appreciated, assuming you're a townie. So... get to it 😜
