When I flip town, people will look at Key with greater suspicion. The chain of causality goes like this: 

Heavy  dies and is mafia.

Therefore Iron, who everyone believes is defending Heavy, and who recently flipped on him (which is easily interpreted as turning because he's doomed) must be a teammate.

Iron dies and is town. 

Knowing that, Key, who defended Heavy while sussing Iron for defending Heavy and pushing that narrative forward, looks like a manipulative mafia member. She dies next.

That seems like a lot of assumptions when HEAVY has exactly 1 vote. I think???

 

This feels a lot like a big bus job. But it still makes no sense to me.

Only half the game roster is active, and nearly everyone has expressed at least a willingness to lynch Heavy. As the deadline gets closer, I predict votes will pile up because he's the path of least resistance.

That is unfortunately Heavy under any real or assumed pressure. It is why I treat him as gently as I do. Zen Heavy can be a good townie. 

I find it amazing you have worked out this case to land on Key when others, myself included to an extent have suggested that while his posting can be sketchy, it isn't necessarily indicating his alignment. 

 

What troubles me most about him right now is how he has gone right to conceding his lynch as inevitable when he isn't even the leader at this point. That despite making claims of mafia on his train, he isn't trying to make a real case.  Not even voting anyone presently.

Can you explain this a little better?  I get the tone, but I don't get the rest.  What do you mean by sporadic posting?  And how is the plan thing AI?

I called him out at first for soft-defending Heavy, which he later admitted to having done. He did it to set a trap for Turin and Ithi, but caught Key instead. 
 

It’s been my experience that people who set traps on d1 are usually doing it to “prove how towny they are” and not to actually catch scum.

 

By sporadic, I mean he shows up to post when he has an agenda to push a point or defend - not because he’s active and trying to solve slots.

I actually think Marsh might be town.  The LOE in his posts is high, and that isn't typically sustainable for scum.....so I'm happy to think he's town for now and see how this develops.

 

I also think Nyn is likely town.  Her not accepting a "Nyn is town" statement and wanting further explanation is also typically a towntell.

 

I want to think Lenlo is town here.  When we are opposite alignments, we argue a lot.  I don't get that feeling so far.  This is a weak read, but better than null.

 

A bunch of players not named in this post are in the middle - maybe a post here or there I liked or didn't, but nothing to comment on (yet).

 

I'm a little suspicious of both DPR and Dice.   Weak D1 reads, but worse than null.  Dice "feels" like he did last game, where he was scum (with me, so I saw it closely).  DPR is just weird right now.  I can't put my finger on it yet.

I don't like Marsh's reasoning. Admittedly I'm biased - but even ignoring he is pushing me... But I get the feeling he is honest. 

 

He is so certain from my first few posts that I'm mafia that he concocts a trap and risks appearing wolfy to everyone (see Ithi's vote) to catch more wolves. He then elaborately paints Key as a fellow wolf and then predicts people will only be eliminating us three over the coming days. But if he was a wolf, he would know I'm not and all this farfetched theorising would be pointless. And risking being eliminated and flipping wolf himself would equally undermine it all. So if he really means all this, he has to be town. Otherwise it is all just fluff to miseliminate me which seems a bit of overkill at this point.
