GAME OVER - Among Us Mafia Game - Mafia wins!

Z, I think I said this last game and I'll say it again. The entire VILLAGER LEADER shtick is at its heart a mechanism to allow the more vocal, more well known mafia players to distract, diffuse and control the game protecting their teammates. That the people that use it also do it as town is simply cover for when they aren't.  I'm always gonna look at least slightly askance at people that use that technique. 

 

Trying to hold back. So far willing to wait and see.

True, but my read is more of a reaction to something I've seen done D1 a hundred times before.

 

And because it's so early, we're all clearly grasping at straws anyway.  Like Zander said, sometime you poke.....and let them hang themselves.

I love you for saying this.  This was always my issue with the "newer" crowd when they invaded DM Mafia with the spam and crazy talk about being cleared super early and town cores and all that.  It's just spam this early, and it's done so that when scum it can be used as cover.

 

There were a lot of players like me that would come back to the thread and see 20+ new pages and just give up and go along with the crowd, forever in perpetual catch-up mode.  It's why I stopped playing larger games and only played ones like this - small enough to keep up.  Imagine when Zander is the 4th highest poster in a game.  I wanted to go dodge traffic, heh.

I was going to say that iirc* he hasn't claimed VILLAGE LEADER!!!! the same way this game yet tho, only !!!VILLLAGING!!! 

 

But I feel like your post will just encourage the WIM and justification for him doing so... XD

Isn't it kind of the same thing?  If he "takes the lead" in posting and calling himself town (and others), to me that's the same thing.

Ok @ReleaseTheEvil was different.  There was another female player tho with an H name played maybe 2 or 3 times and basically the same.  I know @HalliaGOATDOCANDVIG quite well and she's awesome!!!!?

Yes and no - potentially-effectively-rationally, yes. And 100% on the downsides of spam/volume overwhelm consequences.

 

But, beyond the volume difficulties, for me,  when it's Z, that's just...ZANDER!!FUN! ... and I'll read it as such, lololol, NAI (not alignment indicative) at it and move on. 

 

And not quite the same, because last game he directly called that he was taking charge of the Town etc, which for me has different potential/vibes/scars of other players deliberately driving the "I'm in charge" narrative to deliberate ruin (And in any case, he was still Town!Zander, so ... XD)

Yes you did... that's your opinion and that's fine.   I only do that if I feel the thread is all over the place and everyone is suffering from the EBOLAIDS to try and rally the forces....lolololol.   also I did it that game in particular because my Role was the Shady Oaks Manager So I was kinda breadcrumbing on the downlow lol
