Episode 6 Predictions

1A) Moiraine x Siuan cold opening; establishing their frisky history with each other.

1B) Egwene x Perrin cold opening; rush to the Tower, We see that clip from the promos where Moiraine informs Nynaeve that Egwene is back and they rush to hug.

2a) The Amyrlin returns, and promptly convenes a meeting in the hall, makes a shit load of fish references and where the red ajah and Moiraine should stuff them.

2b) The Amyrlin returns with the Daughter Heir, then 2a happens.

2b.1) Rand spies Elayne in the Tar Valon garden. The Persimmon aren't ripe yet.

3) Mat gets partially healed

4) Perrin explores Tar Valon and ends up working at a forge for the day. Makes himself an axe.

5) Egwene & Nyn learn some stuff.

6) Loial talks about the Karaethon Cycle with whoever is nearby, not paying much attention as people walk away and others stand near him. Takes him a hot minute of talking to realize it's a different human.

7) Lan becomes stony faced, possibly teaches Rand some swordsmanship.

Thank you for this. We have been waiting impatiently... ?

Did anyone notice on the BtS clip with costume designs it shows a map. That has the characters going from Two Rivers to Tar Valon, from there northeast to Shienar (misspelt) and then further north?

We are def getting a trip into the Blight, and she mentions the Eye itself also

- Cold open giving us a glimpse of Moraine's acceptance test and subsequent tasking/journey

- Egwene and Perrin will arrive in Tar Valon

- We'll hear whistling and yet another glimpse of Padan Fain smirking while watching E & P

- Egwene will present the 7 AS rings that she stole from Valda. There will be much mourning as each ring will be placed in the flame of Tar Valon and melt in slow motion. Then the AS will question Egwene as to how she came across those rings and realize that Egwene can channel. Much ajah haggling shall ensue. (This may take 5 minutes of the ep or 30 minutes)

- Siuan will detect Egwene's ta'veren spirit (?) and confer with Moraine

- The other EF5 will gather and ta'veren craziness shall flood through the white tower

- Rand meets Min

- Loial will discuss Ogier history and steddings with the tower guards

- Padan Fain and a gray man shall cause havoc within the white tower

- Moraine gets informed about happenings near Tarwin's Gap and TEofW

3) Mat gets partially healed

Fain will likely steal the dagger early, preventing the full healing. That also means that they might be chasing him through the Ways rather than than the opposite--which makes sense because I seriously doubt we'll see trollocs and myrddraal in TV.

Perhaps we'll see Rand brought before the Amyrlin like he was in TGH.

If they do merge a bunch of TGH Fal Dara scenes in here I can only hope we get a moment of Leane (or maybe Alanna to conserve actors) cooing over Perrin. Using Alanna would tie into the later plot arcs nicely.

Peeking at the IMDb cast list, I think the cold open will be focused on Siuan as a girl, possibly the trauma of realizing she can channel in Tear of all places. We'll see the steel of the Amrylin-to-be. Possibly we'll see her arrive at the tower as a novice and meet Moiraine, but I think they'll hold back the revelation that they are old friends until after the Hall, as in the books.

I like the idea of them chasing Fain through the Ways rather than the other way around, but I don't see a strong reason for him to risk getting captured just for the dagger.

If we're right that Fain is heavily involved at the end of episode, I also think Ep7 cold open is a perfect time to focus on his background/SL visit.

1) Perrin kills a whitecloak before he reaches Tar Valon, but he and Egwene /do/ reach Tar Valon, and, unlike Rand, go more directly to the Tower and/or are intercepted by Lan through Moraine's eyes and ears, and are taken to the tower, and Nyneave.  However, other than that, there won't be a whole lot of plot for those two.
2) Moraine is called on the carpet and yelled at by Suian for gentling Logain, and it seems like Suian is her enemy. But we find out Suian is her lover and the whole 'being enemies' thing is a farce they have maintained since the beginning.

3) Cold open is Suian in Tear as a little girl, whose uncle rescues children from a burning building, and who is taken to be a novice.  We don't know it's Suian until later in the episode.

4) Mat really bites the head off Nynaeve/Rand/ and maybe Perrin/Egwene and resists Nynaeve's healing and she knows there's nothing she can do.  They realize Mat has the shadar logoth dagger...it's not really channeling.  They finally decide to bring Moraine for help.
5) After they leave Mat alone at some point, or poorly guarded, anyway, Padan Fain comes.  He steals the dagger and tells him that the Dragon Reborn will never take the eye of the world in time. He leaves Mat for dead, but Nynaeve arrives in time quickly enough after that to save Mat's life, though he doesn't come to.
6) Moraine realizes she can't heal Mat alone, either, and brings Suian to help too (as the only one she trusts).
7) Moraine and Suian heal Mat as far as they can without having the dagger there, and learn about the eye of the world. This confirms information Suian's eyes and ears have learned, and they realize that they have to get the dragon to the eye as quickly as possible, even if they don't know who it is.  The Ways are chosen, and the group of them set out.

Well, that's my guess. There's probably more on the White Tower plot than I have here, but I don't know what that would be.

My predictions:

 - The cold open is probably Gitara's Foretelling, setting the relationship and quest between Siuan and Moiraine. Lots of first person plural.

- The Amyrlin Seat returns, calls the Hall, and reams out Alannah, Moiraine, and Liandrin for gentling Logain, and getting Karene killed.

- Siuan and Moiraine meet privately to discuss the search, and more reaming out for not being around.  This might be romantically tinged, or just politics and exhaustion.

- In either public and / or private, Siuan informs Moraine that the Daughter Heir will be coming to TV to study, and can gain the ring; Elaida will be coming with her and is a threat to Siuan's authority (my thought is Liandrin replaces Galina Casban has Head Red, not Elaida or Alviarin) It's not completely impossible that the Daughter Heir, Elaida, and the boys (boy?) are with the Amyrlin, and this was an escort, not a negotiation.

- EF5 + 2 reunited in TV

- The Queen's Blessing dining room scene exposing the threat to the Eye

- Mat tries to stab Moiraine, and spouts the old tongue at her.  He may or may not get left behind. Could even see them using the need to get to the Green Man to heal Mat as a reason to head for the Eye

- The party heads for the Way Gate, and ends with them in the darkness of the Ways

I hope she doesn't blame them for Karene's death, maybe blame the person who thought sending a handful of warders and only 8 Aes Sedai after Logain was a good idea.

Siuan sent who she had - the show could even hint at the decline of the Tower that way, since there are so few sisters available. And Liandrin was in charge; she's responsible, even if it wasn't her fault

Edit: And Siuan is too politically savvy to let the opportunity to take Liandrin down a peg pass, fair or not

Oooooh what if her uncle saves her from the burning building? That gives even more weight to her later telling the story to Mat.
