Half an hour left IIRC. If it comes down to it I can tie break, but it would be better if the three people who aren't voting made a choice before that. I'm having a really tough time figuring out Dice (not that I'm great at reading him in the first place), but I'll still vote him over Halli right now.

I think the first post is the important one to consider. Again, it makes *sense* but if Marsh is scum then ignoring things that would take Nyn out of the suspect pile is not in his best interest. Which returns me to my point before where if Hallia ends up being scum then Nyn should be cleared outright for being wagoned by scum D1 and then sitting on scum all of D2.

I was playing Secret Hitler with a friend a few months ago, and he defended me at one point by saying I play games in a completely logical manner. It was quite the compliment. 

 

So Hallia and Nyn aren't W/W, that makes sense. It leaves open the options of Hallia/me, Wifi/me, Wifi/Hallia, and Wifi/Nyn. Knowing I'm town means it's Wifi and either Hally or Nyn.

You voted off the tied wagons, Wifi broke the tie, and then you basically ensured Dice was the lynch *before* Kat could even tie them again.

Yup, I know exactly how it looks. But consider that even if I had known that it wasn't tied, I would have voted Dice as soon as Kat voted Hallia. I didn't have time to read any more of the game and reassess my reads, so I committed to maintaining the reads I had. I would have made the wagons look the same in the end anyway. The only thing reflecting poorly on me is the timing.

Wifi/Nyn is my first choice, but I think I need to review more closely. Some of the posts I've been quoting have reads from all three that I can check. It's going to be something I look at tomorrow since it's getting late in my time zone and we still have 21 or so hours left in the night phase.

Not just the timing but the fact you were basically going to make sure Dice who just flipped Town stayed on the chopping block

I had to trust myself. What if I stayed out of the way, let Hallia get lynched, and then it turns out she's town? That's just as bad and I'd feel worse for not trying to save her. Obviously if I'm just straight up wrong, that sucks. But that's why I have you guys, why I don't control the lynch on my own. Scum aren't the only ones with a team.

Admitting it doesn’t really change the outcome, and if Halli flips scum that’s more than likely curtains for you whether that is just a really bad coincidence on your part or not

So you're saying I'm teamed with Hallia, hence my ironclad (pun ABSOLUTELY intended ?) defense? I totally get that, it makes sense from your perspective. I also think we're getting skunked because I made a fatal mistake by putting myself in a position to be the final mislynch. From my position, these are the possibilities (in order of likelihood): 

 

1) My read on Hallia is right, and the final scum are Nyn and Wifi. Nyn peaced out after placing her vote on a likely mislynch, and Wifi stuck around to defend herself and make sure we didn't CFD onto her. 

2 & 3) My read on Hallia is wrong, and Wifi or Nyn is her partner. The answer here may depend on whether Hally would just ditch the thread while under threat of being lynched, but I don't think I can evaluate that. 

4) You or Clov is deepwolfing me and we're totally about to lose this game. I seriously doubt that's the case. 

 

 

 

Even if it had been tied, that would be what I mean by defensive voting - voting someone you're mostly unsure on because the alternative is lynching your town read.  There's  nothing wrong with it... I've done it hundreds of times. 

 

I'm just trying to wrap my head around the townread on Hallia in general.  Because what AJ said is pretty spot on

Real talk - does anyone even make sense as being teamed with Nyn? 

 

Wifi sat on her for a lot of the day, over reasons I'll never get.  Marsh's play I guess could have been a really confident teammate yesterday but otherwise was odd... why vote a teammate and avoid both town wagons?  Hallia was weirdly buddy buffy with her.

 

If anyone's teamed with her, it's honestly probably you IMO.  And I think you're just town.

Does this make sense to you with the fact wifi was like consistently on Nyn and had that post about her voting Nyn because she thought Nyn was giving up as mafia? I know people bus (I have no idea how frequently wifi, specifically, does) but they typically have some sort of valid reasoning.

I don't really see how it isn't, but I cant really argue with any of Marsh's approaches.  I think town!Marsh absolutely goes a null over letting his townread get lynched, and I'm not sure that he cares about the perception of being wrong.
