I mentioned the reasoning during my catch-ups, but in a nutshell for their gameplay.  I didn't quote a ton, but I talked about Clov's interaction wrt BFG in thread with Tripped, and I find them both villagery for it.

 

Zander's catch-ups have been good from what I've seen

 

Nyn is tone and content, both seem v good to me, and I feel like I read her pretty well.

Not exactly.  I've been focused more on significant contribution/focus, largely because there hasnt been a stuff that I'd feel confident ruling teams out.  I feel that probably works better for lower volume games?

@BFG can you give me a complete reads list, sorting the inactive players, and discuss your entire strategy for using the deity, along with who you'd lynch?

Fair enough.  Was just curious because I started one last night and didn't get super far.   I was trying to decide how likely mafia!WiFi was to iso mafia!Illian only to come back and say "nope, nothing to see here...seems fine to me."

Reread me, Ive had Nyn trending up prior.  I think shes a little inactive by HER standards which I get with RL stuffs going on.

 

Hallia is an easy read for me mostly.  Just takes more then a Day phase for me to lock on it.  Shes fooled me and I was wrong on her recently after a pretty good streak of being right.  

 

Clov are you legit bothered by this or you trying to cast seeds doubt for later.....

Either this game really is SBP, or somebody I feel at least pretty good about is mafia.  I've been perfect before and would love to be perfect here, but you know as well as I do it doesnt always go that well.

 

I absolutely see a universe where you're teamed with quieter players and you kind of back burner them in favor of OTHER hard to read players.   You literally did it last game to me with... adella? 

 

So yeah, I think you're still more likely to be town than not, I'm not going to NOT put it out there.  It's not like I tend to live long in games :dry:

But as far as in actives go, if you look back as Town I always am against lynching inactives D1,  Its like a hope and prayer that gives little info 9 times out of 10 imo.

I usually only hunt scum.  I never thought of hunting town?   I mean I make town reads on people but I don't consider that hunting.  I don't even ask anyone if they are town anymore.  I don't actively push people to find out if they are town.  I figure find the scum the rest are town.  ?

Some players play differently.

 

Players like Clov, Cory, BFG, Nyn, etc.  to at least a fair extent or higher, will try building a Town Core first and narrow down their suspects pool till proven adjustments are needed.

Fair enough.  I was just trying to get an idea of your thought process since I agree with Chris in the sense that nothing that Illian did/said seemed particularly towny, but if you're looking at from a mindset of only really looking for scum, I can see why you phrased it the way you did.  It's just kind of backwards from the way I operate, especially D1.

And some of us play in the middle, reading people based on what they post of their own volition rather than actively "hunting"

Plus town is just generally easier to find since they typically want to be found.  For example in a 10/3 game, if you can narrow the pool of people you're looking at from 12 to 8, that makes the game quite a bit easier because then you're looking for 3/8 rather than 3/12.

 

It's harder to PoE though if a) people are inactive b) risk of a deepwolf sneaking into your town core, but just because someone is in your town core D1 doesn't mean they have to stay there or even should stay there for the entire game.  It's always good to re-evaluate people, especially after flips that don't make sense.
