It's almost weekend lol Though I will have a laptop and internet at my house this weekend so there is a slight possibility of getting on more.  I have absolutely no idea who to choose to accuse and I will not be able to build any kind of case on anyone. I'm not being modest. I suck at D1. I can see Lenlo’s POV in that this is a “what have you done for me lately” environment, and in those terms putting Nyn on the block is justifiable. Obviously I’m biased but I think my position was reasonable and think he’s nitpicking but whatever. He’s confident enough to elect himself to put me on the block for it, which is something I’m not sure scum!Lenlo would do at this stage of the game when there are better, less active targets. We’ve had it out before as T/M but that was late in the game when the board was pretty much cleared.

 

Basically I don’t like the argument but I don’t think he’s starting it just to start it unless it’s specifically to take attention off someone else.

Of the other options, I am probably going to go Cass to break that tie-breaker. Ill hold out on switching incase someone comes in, want them to know there are other options and I stand by the read. But if nothing happens, for now you can assume I will switch to Cass to ensure an accuser.

 

AJ, I have no idea who I would be taking attention off of. No one was really getting heat there. Still, I find your reaction to all this (At least this mornings) good. Im an easy lynch. Im loud and proud and often don't back down when it would be smarter to. But your not taking the easy lynch. Maybe it's because no one is biting and you got no confidence in it, but thats just wifom on my part this early in the game. 

 

tl;dr I like that you came back this morning trying to understand my side and look at it critically instead of gearing up for round 2.

What triggers you about it?  I don't really recall playing with you and ever butting heads, but I also don't really recall any games where we've played together and we had any crazy interaction for good or bad.  

 

Nyn plays the aloof game regardless of alignment sometimes, with sassy answers that aren't of themselves bad, but I do really enjoy when she puts more in, because I feel like when she gets super involved, she's a force to be reckoned with.  10/10 want more of her

Uh, people I’d vote to be accuser...Cass, maybe Chris or Kat, for raisins.  I wouldn’t be overly excited about it, but I’m ~okay with it being me as well, if it means one of my non-preferred people aren’t accusing. 

 

I think lenlo is likely to be town, but I’m not sure that AJ is the direction I want the lynch to go today, so i probably wouldn’t vote there.

 

I don’t think Darthe could make an informed choice right now.  

 

I don’t want Darc to hate me for the rest of the game so I probably wouldn’t vote there either. She also seems to be struggling a bit to get into the game because of how quoting works here. I understand some of the frustration because I had the same frustration navigating the mechanics of the site and I know she prefers to multi-quote.  I also think it’s unlikely that she’d get the votes at this point. I still think she’s more likely to be town here. 

 

i keep flipping back and forth on seph. On one hand some of the longer posts I have had very similar thoughts, but at the same time, I kind of disagree with some of the reasons for the stance on thinking what Cass did with leaning more town on Seph was pretty meh.  At best it was an overstatement of how pro-town it was. 

 

Im struggling with what to do about Dice as well. He sounds incredibly reasonable, and I thought we had a pretty decent conversation last night. I feel like the previous games we played he  was more reserved, and far more paranoid about things. Particularly in the game Dice, me, and AJ played on PerC I thought Dice/AJ had a really interesting dynamic that I’m just not seeing here. Part of it was probably because I think AJ might have been the only person Dice knew.  I’m also not sure how I feel about Dice being willing to let Lenlo accuse, especially if lenlo is still going to push the AJ thing. Dice thought that lenlo/AJ was a t/t interaction, so that seems like not a great option. 

 

I want to read AJ as town. Probably wouldn’t trust him to decide who to lynch right now though. 

 

My biggest issue is I have probably too many town reads/leans for how early we are in the game so I’m almost certainly misclearing someone.  I wouldn’t be opposed to accusing Penguin/Bwn, but the fact that no one is really defending him makes me feel like he’s alone. That said, I do think he’s a strong enough player that I don’t think he’d encourage his teammates to bail him out, so there is that as well. 

 

Hallia not posting much isn’t helping me either. Same with Nyn. Would very much like to see more from these three. 

 

I probably missed someone in that list because tired. 

 

Im going back to sleep now.  So if there are other questions I missed on my quick skim I’ll respond when I get up in a few hours.

Having finally caught up to here ^, I don't see much other than lecturing rather than giving reads - except for the AJ call over Nyn, which as of that first read through, I don't believe he believes? It's a shaky argument, which makes me wary of LHF, but the fact that he hasn't given thoughts/opinions on anyone else before or since is NAGL IMO.

 

Have you played with Darthe before? 

 

What alignments was Dice in the games you're referencing? FTR wrt to him and AJ my understanding is they have a history of reading each other well and their dynamic can be really interesting. TownDice NAILED WolfAJ in that last game on gut.

I have the opposite problem with Chris: I understand him (and he understands me) too well.  So while I understand perfectly well what he’s saying or doing at any given time, it’s never clear to me that any of it is alignment indicative. The last game we played when Chris was scum, I had an entire argument with myself in my notes QT about whether him trying to find the mechanally cleared towny was more likely to come from town!Chris or scum!Chris.  I decided it was equally likely, which was not helpful. ?

 

The flip side of that is when Chris was town the last game we played, the two of us lynched scum D1 by ourselves.  So...can be a blessing and a curse to some degree. 

 

 

 

WRT the bold, we appear to be on the same page, with the exception of Lenlo.

 

What did you make of everyone's replies?/How are they factoring in to your decision?

 

I do tend to look for Scum cues more than Town as my default. Maybe the better question is who's in my WTL?

Nyn - I get AJ's reasoning on her, and agree that she can be formidable Town. 

 

I would like to keep her around for that and the fact we're friends, but the tone of her focus/responses so far has not been in the vein of what I would personally expect from Town!Nyn! in that she's not coming across as hunty or excited to play and that is a concern for me. As it stands I probably wouldn't fight her lynch. I like to think I can read her ~ok as a person, and can understand when she's having an off/busy day vs. when she's avoiding being Scum, so this may change if she comes back and I feel her responses are genuine for whatever reason she gives.

 

Penguin - I need to see moar but if nothing else is added I would vote Y to lynch with what I've seen. I understand annoyance at mornings and inactivity being the focus - but I tend to believe this grates more when Scum. I don't know his personality or play style to have a starting point, but generally speaking, the fact that it's ALL I've seen him comment on, rather than a head-down bum-up approach when he's here seems scummy to me.

 

Halli - I'm less certain here, and want moar Halli. I don't think the early tone or comment about AJ is clearing enough on its own.

 

I don't think I'd be willing to lynch anywhere else today so far.

 

 

Darthe could be fun/interesting in either position of the courtroom, if he shows up, I'll leave it up to him.

 

Kat - Isn't so much in my WTL as much as I don't think she's a bad vote for either position in this set-up because I really want to see more. I've worded that terribly.

 

 

 

Trying to sort out who else I might be happy with as the Accuser from those left is a whooooolllle other level of tinfoil.

 

Dice often has good gut reads, but leading successful lynches with them is another ball game, so I don't know that I'd put him in that position as yet even if I thought he was Town. He hasn't voiced anything I'd consider AI beyond pushing me into the Accuser spot where I think he'd be unlikely to do it as Scum and defending that position with an explanation I think he'd make as Town.

 

I'm back and forth on Seph, I don't recall anything about his Scum game, and there's a possibility of buddying me, but at the same time, I'm not seeing anything that I can't see/feel from Town. 

 

AJ and Chris and Tripped I might consider, aside from #allthefears.

 

I'd do it if I have to.

 

FWIW - It's the many wordings that I see as potentially leaving wriggle-room/subtle manipulation in Chris' posts that worry me about him. I doubt they could ever be used as proof if he's a Wolf. His overt focus doesn't strike me as Scummy, and I feel like his focus would always be this way, regardless of his alignment.

Thanks for perspective on lenlo. Yes, I played with Darthe my first game here. He nailed the scum team down to 2 of 3 people on his second or third post. We got off on the wrong foot that game because he had a strategy for selecting people to focus on that I thought was odd, and it was pretty distracting to the thread. 

 

Dice and AJ were both town. AJ refused to give a read on Dice.  I never really knew why, possibly AJ figured out Dice was PT. Dice didn’t like AJ at all, largely because AJ was extra grumpy about non-game things apparently. Dice was the town doc that game. He got lynched in a CFD at the end of D2 after correctly protecting town and preventing a N1 NK.
