I have a town read on Darthe which I have mentioned several times. I also, but perhaps more subtly, have a town read on Z and Tripped.

@BFG you’ve played with Aquila - is he as transparent as he comes across, or is he possibly just getting his bearings, but capable of more?

DPR has more depth to his reads, focusing on mechanics is ~eh but his last scum game was "Dice is scum because of X" (unless I missed segments skimming  for votes) and

while I disagree with the arguments he's making there's depth to them

From his reads list the only one that stood out was Aquilla, most of the points made seem to be negative but he's reading him town

 

Aquilla feels more engaged than his scum game

 

TOR, AJ and Zander all seem fine, ToRs caution seems good and I think is more likely to stand out if mafia, I can believe Zanders paranoia, but miss the meta reads, need to follow that exchange with Sooh again

 

Darthe has been ~loud, but nothing in a way that seems AI, and I don't recall much from Sooh or Krak

 

In general the game still feels fairly superficial :/

 

I dislike Darthes mechanics suggestion, mostly because I disagree that much can be learned from superficial pressure (although in this case it does help with reading dpr so lolme?)

 

Im nopt seeing what I recall at least from Town!BFG and its making me sadface.gif.

 

It interesting we both feel exactly the opposite about DPR this game as I feel his back and forth with Darthe's OP was very similar to Scum!DPR's approach to Dice last game and you don't.

 

Also what reads in particular are you referring to from DPR that have more depth?

Of your bottom 3, is there a pair you see as likely teamed?  What about probably never teamed?  You kind of glossed over your read on AJ other than that he's probably fine, can you maybe expand on that one a bit more.

I don't think I've ever seen him as town and I'm not sure what to make of the lack of depth so far, my read is based more on the timing of his engagement

I don't think there's a pair in darthe/Sooh/Krak that I think are unlikely paired and I don't look for preflip teams

 

Darthe scum reading Krak doesn't mean much since I don't see Darthe defending a teammate that's in a general null to scum Poe, besides which he's not actually pushing Krak

 

 

AJ I typically actively scum read when I'm reading games he's scum in and I'm not this game, I'm not sure I can articulate why, lazy answer would be tone/gut but I don't think that's really what I read (more accurately it's a read I try not to overthink) and will evaluate with flips

 

logically I don't think he's out of scum range but that's probably paranoia

Mostly my worry was that you were using the “I make reads in RT” as a crutch to not bring those Townie!Sooh observations that I remember being your Town game. I know you did last game you were scum, at least.

@BFG let's cut through the noise.  That's a really disappointing reads list for a few reasons but I wanna home in on the relationship you and I have this game.  Be honest, it'll go way better here if you are.  Am I at the bottom because you think I'm a wolf or because you feel I have to be there on your list?

It's not the reads, it's the mechanics discussion. Admittedly I skimmed the early game last time, but from what I recall it was literally the same argument "Dice is scum because distracting swear word discussion" that never developed and read more like pointing fingers. Here the argument about darthe mechanics is layered and changing, he's looking outside of the single point (read his thoughts on Aquilla) although I'm not sure why dpr's town reading him based on what was said

That should be obvious, but also I didn't abide by it since others weren't signing on to do it.  The whole exercise is futile unless everyone is a part of it.

I've learned that I have to lead most villagers by the nose.  DPR stands out strongly to me, and I could case it sure, but no one would give that weight because most don't see it yet.  They'd see me "overreacting" and think my reasoning was flimsy.  That's what I've learned, slow burn things until it's so obvious that other people can almost case the player for you.

We’re different players, I get that. I just think this philosophy is gonna get you NK’d quietly and no one will remember your stance because you suggested it more than pushed it. Not necessarily in this game, but you get what I’m saying.

Okay, thank you.  You were quick to scum read AJ in the game the three of us played together, and all three of us were town that game.  You laying off giving a real read on him here seems different.  So while I believe that town!you is likely to scum read scum!AJ, I've also seen you scum read him when both of you have been town.

I mean, I'm really not the best person to ask about my own meta, because I tend to just do things and not think super heavily about what I'm doing, I just do stuff basically. I guess instead of "I make reads in RT" is more a feeling where reads progress over time, often by being able to be around more in the thread in real time and being able to ask my questions then instead of in a catching up situation.
