do you prefer being town, or do you prefer being mafia?

what do you think your greatest strength as town is?

Good questions!

I like both equally. I take great joy in watching the low-life town struggle to find me, and as Town I love watching the patterns of the deceivers to take them down. I have been cop once (in all my many games) and I usually hit the target/answers I want from them.

Lol a vote for asking questions? Ive been more interested in kaylee than you or shad. You sure do like to jump the gun though. Im not casing you yet? So it seems a tad defensive. Early snap reads tend to not aways work out.

tfw you want to burn something at the stake but you know villagers can say it

really though can I say with fairly high confidence that Cory and Kaylee are villagers on page 7 and boast about it in post when rand accidentally proves me right?

I'm genuinely enthralled by the mini small posts.. (i'm used to paragraphs to sift through). This is normal, yes?

if we’re picking names out of a jar of who not to lynch D1, I got Darthe

This is gonna be unpopular but I disagree. Derf can be destructive as scum, sure, but he can also be self-destructive. One the >50% chance he's town I'd say to avoid lynching him early. He doesn't actually deepwolf all that often

Um, actually disregard that. I just noticed the word "not" in  your post. Sorry...

1- Either is good for me

2- I tend to come at the game from unusual angles, which can occasionally find hidden scum

3- Cognitive dissonance. I can manually turn off my perception of who my teammates are and by that avoid saying or doing anything that would implicate them if I die

Depends on who's in the game. Over all the posts will get longer as the game goes on. I for one am a fan of lists.

In the beginning. Some players can get after it later and bigger games there's alot to quote by the time you get back on.

So do you think he’s town or? I don’t really follow.

I misread your post. I thing it's higher upside not to lynch him because he's awesome as town and he'll eventually give himself away as scum

Now that's curious.

Give me a tour of your head a bit.  You said you were bothered because he was [posting the most fluff] in the intro pages.  What's your thought process for finding that suspicious and what gives it lasting relevance now that this is beginning to function as an actual game?

Posted

@Arie it depends on the player for the most part. Once the game gets deeper you can probably expect some meatier posts but until then enjoy the quips ;)

I think it's very player-dependent and "where we are in the game" dependent. Someone like me, you're mostly going to get (a lot) trashposts and then a couple paragraph blurbs when I have serious reads to share.

Some of us definitely still do WoT-style posting (too bad Cass isn't playing :P) but I think generally shorter posts / higher volume is what's "in" at DM.

I would say in general the first 3-4 "real life" days of any given game here is going to be much less serious and analytical than after, when there's either a lot of alignment-indicative content or flips to discuss and reflect upon.

It mean someone dropped a completely unexplained vote on you and your response was something like "lol this guy's reasons for voting me are really bad and also omgus and he's being defensive".

He literally just typed Vote: amegakure

What my post meant is unfortunately you could still be a villager and do that.

Well, my head is a dark and dangerous place, I suggest bringing a friend an a few health potions. ;)

Bothered is a strong word, I just found it the 'least useful'. But the curious part is there are idea's being toss around without a solid case to implicate someone. Which can, of course, mean a lot of things. So this is me putting out feelers.
