ok so my mission is to pull up Dragon Reborn and figure out what about Niniel's game there made me drop a blue read on her like 48 hours in

 

iirc this read was directly linked to having been scum with her in Worlds End the last time we'd played together.  Will read both

I had a surreal psychic vision that informed me one of {Darthe, Clovdyx} is a wolf and it is my divine mission to figure out which before time runs out

Time runs out N1 most of the time in that world. :sad:

 

Last break of the day, I am sitting with a newbie helping her get comfortable with the job so I won't have much time to post.

 

I am glad Kronos came back - a little baffled by how he has a read on Tigraine but not Sooh :unsure:

 

Regardless, I am on board with Niniel for lunch as of when I started typing this (15 minutes ago now :tongue: )

What do you think of my Tress read?

 

I think it's, at best, over confident.  That doesn't mean you're wrong, but I think you're giving her too much credit.  I've literally never been wrong about Tress in my life, and I just haven't seen anything from her to make me feel good calling her town.  That reads list you gave isn't bad and could easily come from her as town...or scum.  

 

In the very games I've seen her as mafia (Diablo, Demon Cove, not sure if there was another), she has a relatively hard time introducing content to the game and is kind of a perpetual state of catch up and uncertainty.  I mean, she's (thankfully) not overconfident as town like some people (their names might rhyme with Smory Surren and Blovsticks), but she presents her thoughts in a way that make me say, "Yep - this is what she truly thinks".  Is she going to go balls to the wall aggro to murder somebody?  Not unless she has a really damn good reason, but she's at least going to make it known who she wants dead.  

 

Like I said, none of those reads were inherently "wrong" (though i'm not thrilled about her take on me :dry:), but a lot of them were things I feel mafia!Tress would feel she kind of HAS to say.

I'll take another look at her ISO to spotcheck myself, but unless we wagoned all of the scum today or I'm getting seriously owned by somebody (think Spirited Away), I probably lynch her sooner than later.

Sooh do you think you've done anything this game you couldn't (or even very likely wouldn't) do as a wolf?

I don't think I can say it better than you already did in your analysis, but obviously that has made me very aware of it. It's tough to fight that initial "Ugh, I'm scum. I have to work hard not to disappoint my team", and while I feel like I've tried to cancel out my volume and activity level tells I'm not sure I've been entirely successful yet. I feel like my best scum game was the one where I got Zander lynched and Dice vigged me N2. 

 

I'm not sure if this answers your question or not. I do have your analysis bookmarked though lol.

question for anyone who wants to answer - what are you strongest two reads right now?

 

doesn't matter if wolf or villager, just two strongest reads you have overall

I say shadory and sooh tie for town

 

I dont have one that stands out yet as wolf. Just a small list of people I am watching for more evidence.

 

In anyone's opinion who is most likely to be shot first by the wolves?

OK, so.  Summary of thoughts as of right now.

 

2. Darthe - At least 75% of the time I want to lynch Darthe regardless.  It might not be a bad move. :unsure: :unsure: :unsure: OK, I kind of like some of his posts.  Let's call it "not today".
 
3. Shadory (cory caboose & Shad_) - I feel pretty good about these two and expect to firm that up within the next day phase or so.  
 
4. SoJames (Sooh & E James Todd) - Have we scared off James?   :sad:   Engagement is good, seems to be pursuing leads aggressively. Gut feeling is probably town, she has fooled me before but I'm not too worried about her just now.
 
5. ed2funy - mehhhhh. Not sure I can read him.  Too much drunk posting. :unsure:  He's probably OK.
 
6. Tigraine (Hallia) - Zero posts.  Waiting for Godot.
 
7. seph - Some of the things he's said realllllly remind me of his approach in Fight Club.  I was iffy on him at the time I noticed them in Fight Club, but he ended up as town. So, thinking he might be town here? 
 
8. Niniel - Potentially willing to vote here.  Her catchup notes felt really... superficial?  Cautious? 
 
9. DPR (DreadPirateRoberts) - I haven't seen anything from him that worries me yet, and I have seen at least one post that struck me as being exactly what I'd expect him to say as town.  So, slight town lean although I wouldn't trust the pirate as far as I can throw him.
 
10. Kronos the Wolfeh (WolfbrotherKronos) - Willing to vote.  Whoever mentioned he really hates being mafia, that is also what I recall.  I would have expected him to pop in to at least give us a heads up if he was going to be absent.  He was a lot more active in our Old West Mischief game, even early on.
 
11. Clov (Clovdyx) - I wouldn't normally feel comfortable town reading him D1 but I don't know that he'd bother doing what he's been doing as mafia.  Let's call it cautiously optimistic.
 
12. Killashandra - I want to give her time to settle in and learn the game and see where it goes.  Nothing has struck me as off just yet, which is a good sign.
 
13. manbat - Monstr is one of those people that I feel like I ought to be able to read better, but I never feel quite confident that I can.  Gun to head I'd say leaning town, but very unsure.  I would trust Town!Cory's read on him 95%.
 
 
Not willing to lynch atm:  SoJames, Shadory, Clov... possibly Ed, Darthe, DPR, Seph.  Most willing to lynch Kronos or Niniel today.

 

 

 

Just finished a re-read, and can I say I'm pretty glad Zander wasn't in this game or I would have never finished before I passed out >.>  (love you Zanderiffic....  :wub: )

 

Quick and dirty reads before bed - I can expand on things in the morning and try to stay current while at work...

Nyn - looks like she is legit trying to figure people out and I can follow where she's thinking.  I like when Nyn is all townie up in my face  :laugh:

 

Sooh - I think she would have been a little less carefree and willing to draw attention if she was not town (I think she took BFG's "the bold" descriptor to heart here)

Dice - Gut read says most likely town, and my gut is rarely wrong on Dice.  (I... um... won't mention that I wasn't completely right on him in Rey's Caesar game, but then I wasn't playing that one and I didn't try that hard to figure it out.  Really.)

 

Clov - I have absolutely zero confidence that I can read him correctly.  Cautiously optimistic as he is making a lot of sense, but... He's never town for me on D1.  *shakes head stubbornly*

 

Niniel - Mixed... I think I have difficulty with how Nini expresses herself sometimes, it feels a little awkward.  Her seriousness about the joke votes comes across as weird. But my gut says it feels legit to me that she didn't notice the sample town role PM in the writeup and I don't know what to do with that right now.

 

Kat - True null

WiFi - I'm not sure I know how to read her - we were on the same mafia team in her one and only mafia game so far, but that was a weird one due to the conflicting win conditions, and she's played a few more since then and is continuing to develop.  I'd like to keep an eye on this one for now to see what opinions she comes up with before forming an opinion.

 

Talmanes - I can't remember specifics off the top of my head, but a few things pinged me while reading.  I may be able to go back and identify those later but it's getting late and my brain is starting shutdown since the tiny morning people woke me up at oh-dark-thirty.

 

Hallia - Not feeling the Town!Hally just now, and I agree with Nyn's point that her vote on Niniel felt off.  Her reasoning included things that Niniel had already explained and it didn't seem like she had acknowledged or considered.  

 

Ironeyes - kind of the inverse of my Sooh read, he's definitely come across as self-conscious about appearances.   Most willing to vote here at this point.

 

 

Sorry the weekend was a bust for me being involved in the game - it's very hard to concentrate on mafia without being rude to one's hosts, and even more difficult when there are screaming toddlers vying for attention and demanding to steal my phone.   :laugh:  I'll be up at a reasonable hour in the morning, with coffee and hopefully half a functioning brain.   :dry:

 

 

Niniel - Mixed... I think I have difficulty with how Nini expresses herself sometimes, it feels a little awkward.  Gut says it feels legit to me that she didn't notice the sample town role PM in the writeup.  

 
 

 

Shad/Sooh - If I am seer, they are my N0 town peek.
AJ - Pretty strong town vibe here - I know he's capable of fooling me, but I doubt he is at this moment.  
 
Dice - probably town. Dice doesn't fool me often so I should be more certain as the game goes on.
Clov - Town lean with reservations solely because he is very tricksy.  Not willing to consider lynching D1. Probably not D2.  After that, we'll see.
Thane - Doing some poking and prodding, offering opinions, comes across as relaxed.  Liking him for town at the moment.
BFG - Not a lot of posts yet but she seems to be jumping in and offering opinions, asking questions, being game-solvey.  Probably town here also.
 
Yates - Is not to be trusted without a town peek.  :dry: The back and forth with Bender is intriguing and I want to try to make sense of this later, but there's just not enough time before work.
Bender - My eyes glaze over when reading the LOLOLOLOLs  :unsure:  Will look at them harder tomorrow.
 
 
Pral - not enough content yet to read
Tab - not enough content yet to read
Notbob - absent.  NotBob, where are you?  :sad:
 
Lenlo - Most uncomfortable with him right now... It might be because the people he's pushing are people I think are likely town.  I haven't seen the NewLenlo as mafia yet since I um... haven't read the Matrix game  :blush:... so I don't know.  Will likely vote here.  
 
Gotta run to work - hopefully I'll have time and a steady data network connection so I can keep current today, deadline is shortly after I get home from work.

 

 

 
That second one was the post that first came to mind when I saw her reads list earlier.  I won't say it's the exact same, but it's where my mind went.  Checking her ISO, I do think her stance irt DPR is probably a good sign, especially with the introspective self-questioning about whether it should make her feel worse about him, but I'm still not nearly anywhere with her that I can just write her off as town.  
 
A lot of her other posts have been kind of light-hearted, almost filler posts, if you will.  I think I referenced something stupid that made me feel bad about her that probably only I would get, and that's what it was.  Her initial post to you  just rubbed me the wrong way and kind of took me back to Diablo, where I think she was kind of overly friendly/pretend flirty in a way that just seemed fake then (and still does).
