You could literally take any post in the game and throw out some WIFOM by saying "well this could be scum faking" and it still doesn't make the post a good reason to vote.

Ironeyes reaction to what?

oh coming back into thread

let's see

what do you think of each of the votes placed near the end of the phase, on IRONEYES (FTFY) and no lynch

were they justified or not, do they make sense given each player's seeming aims and goals

Final Vote Count Day 1

Sooh (1): thehumantrashcan

Ironeyes (3): Darthe, the Crusher, dicetosser1

No lynch (3): Sooh, Cuth, Wildfire Sedai

Not voting (2): Ironeyes, Lenlo

That's a lynch DO NOT POST <3

*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

Well since there's not much to go on.  I would say that you explained yourself on the no lynch pretty well and as for me, well I am biased but I feel like I explained it fairly well myself.  I didn't think Iron was a good candidate for the lynch as of yet so went for the no lynch instead.  Also for me, I have darthe as my one and only scummy so far so didn't want to vote with him.

for ironeyes dice said his was a yolo vote so that's pretty straightforward, basically the same as my no lynch vote but his could've gotten someone lynched and crusher questioned ironeyes post about lenlos post about lynching crusher and oscar cause of lack of posts.  said it was a scummy way to look townie.

Today was exhausting, worked on the house a lot today and spent a lot of time spending money on pieces of the house.  I hate spending so much money in one day.  Sorry, my brain has no juice to come up with a worthwhile post but I figured I should still check in.

I do have one observation that if I had been on earlier I would have posted.  I was thinking about how I would play in the past in RL and I realized I would usually take Cuth's approach of essentially "running" the game.  Ok too tired to correctly formulate my thoughts, but essentially I would be helpful and try to keep control of discussion and momentum forward and away from any suspicion towards me.  I did this consistently and so when i did end up scum it helped keep any suspicion away from me.  Do any of you understand what I'm driving at and does it make sense or is it a common practice here.  Cuth not pointing fingers here, just realized I've seen pretty in depth discussions on everyone except you and I almost think that's because of the way you're playing.  Just wondering if that's because you're doing a good job of controlling the discussions and keeping any suspicion away from you or people truly believe because you are playing this way there is no way you're scum.

wow, I read that through and I still don't know if any of it made sense but I figure I'll learn something from all your reactions.  I'll try to clarify more tomorrow.

Before I go, Len, where are you?  Love it if you could answer my earlier question about your reaction to my hard Town read on you.

I think they would, since we started the first day out with no lynch.  We've let the wolves get a leg up with the first strike so getting more information out there will be important to get the scum deaded.

Posted

Granted, if we mis-lynched on D1, then we would have really given scum a leg up so actually having lynched on the first day was a gamble with how little concrete reads there were, but if we had lynched a scum first night then we would have the leg up on them, either that or if we had mis-lynched but got a good read, that could have gotten us a leg up on them as well.  But yeah, they have first blood now, it's not like we're against the ropes, but us townies are down one now, that much more difficult, especially if we lost one of our roles.

We have let them have first blood.

disagree with this. Odds say we just saved ourselves a townie

no, wrote the first one and then instantly regretted it, thought about it, and then corrected myself.

I think that's called leading the town, and it's uncommon iirc

thoughts on if cop and jailkeeper cover are viable for each day?

You're asking us to state who we would view and who we would JK?

Posted

meant to ask. what does a jail keeper do?  I will look it up on mafia wiki but would like you all's opinion as well.

I was JK in the final fantasy game. It's a combination doc and roleblocker, where you protect your target from all night actions but also keep them from performing any

Ok, gonna analyze my own wagon here. Again, I'm so sorry for not being here for it. I went to physics lecture at 5 with the intention of keeping up as the deadline approached, but circuits are very engrossing.

This progression feels off to me. Maybe my judgement isn't impartial since it's about myself, but still...

[V] marsh [/v] that was wonderful, also slight fos cuth for the unvote.

I provide theead doubt and marsh and wifi jump in to do the same right after. I gave cover, they took it.

Also, marsh didnt respond well to me calling him town.

Oh hey Dice, my goat reading of marsh isnt happening yet, so idk atm. That bothers me a bit, but it doesnt really justify anything.

I'm kinda on mArsh and wifi trains atm. Nothing's solid for me yet this round.

So you haven't read me yet, but you're willing to lynch me? Am I misinterpreting this or something?

Its a bit off man, but so am I this round. All ive got is a gut atm, and thats a crap way to move through a game. My read on you is pretty well represented, its more on not having you as town (which I usually do, and you know this) than it is in any content of yours ive seen that led me that way.

I find this post from you to be a prime example, since you went out of your way this game and last to mention how I seem to read you accurately based on praxtically nothing. This should make perfect sense to town you, imo.

Ok this is total misrep. Last game I went out of my way to compliment your read on me (which I remind everyone was just cover as scum) because it came when I was in a weak place and about to get myself lynched. But this game, I hardly went out of my way. You made a random town read, which I found humorous because it was similar to last game, and made the apparent mistake of showing my amusement in thread. IDK if you're just town darthe misunderstanding me or scum darthe taking advantage of our past interactions, or what.

Maybe I gotta just shut down my low-key hero worship of you...

unvote vote ironeyes

Not sure how close deadline is but I will post my reasoning for this.

I could have called this towny if it had been followed by a decent reason to justify the vote, but all Crusher had to offer was this:

[v]Vote Crusher[/v]

Lets do something.

Claim: Crusher is evil.

Evidence: 2 Posts.

Reasoning: Any amount of posts that is less than the number of pages in the game is wolfy. Ergo, lynch Crush and Trashcan. Done.

Isn't it a little early to by lynching people based on activity? The game's been going on for less than 24 hours. I mean I get that lurking is scummy, later in the game. But it hasn't been long enough to establish who's actually lurking.

This a very interesting post.  Lenlo is clear in saying "lets do something."  Ironeyes questions him and gives a nice townie like concerned post but why?  Its pretty clear why Lenlo made this post. I say this is a scum doing a righteous town post.

I call BS on the "too towny to be town" argument. You could literally take any post in the game and throw out some WIFOM by saying "well this could be scum faking" and it still doesn't make the post a good reason to vote.

Also, if you check out my past games, cautioning against rash action is very much part of my nature. Matter of fact I was on a jury today (which is why I'm peevish at the moment) and I held up our verdict for a good twenty minutes (after they were ready to make a decision like ten minutes in) because I thought the other jurors were coming to a conclusion too quickly and with too little discussion. We reached the same decision in the end that they wanted, but we took the time to hash out the details and came out of there much more confident. I do the same in mafia, playing devils advocate to slow down rash trains.

we are having tech issues here  dunno if i wioll be here for DL

Yolo vote really vote Ironeyes

I'm calling this towny. It's normal for dice and he had examples to follow.

Since when is one vote on a player to get a slow game going a rash move? He literally said that was why he was doing it. Too towny? No It's crap towny. It's a busy body post that produces no info but gives the intention of concern. I had no votes on me, nobody was engaging and he packaged it as a game boost. Now I admitted the game got away from me and haven't read much more than I voted on. I play on a place we use votes to draw responses in order to gauge players. Way more voting than you ever se here. Honestly best part of my vote on you was the reaction opeople gave. People voted along with me then a solid push for no lynch. Now we got something to analyze.

That CFD to no lynch is interesting. If Iron is a wolf, I think one of those last minute jumps to no lynch is almost Guarnteed to be his partner. If he's town, I think those on the no lybch are more likely town. A wolf wouldn't have even needed to vote Iron to get a town lybch, they could have sat back and done nothing and let it go through, with no shade gone their way.

thoughts on if cop and jailkeeper cover are viable for each day?

problem is they only really work if everybody does it, if not it makes scum's job twice as easy or doesn't accomplish the goal

either way there's no point before tomorrow

if you're discussing whether we should do it tomorrow...

the cop should probably out themselves if they get a red peek, given the odds of the scum team knowing who they are and killing them by d4

jailkeeper not necessarily, because he has an action every night

if cop town peek, then i think it would make sense tomorrow if everyone agreed on it

So it's uncommon but not impossible?  Why is it uncommon and not something Cuth would be doing?
