  1. Nynaeve's healing wasn't Super Saiyan, her hair didn't even turn golden! In that particular scene, she directly healed Lan via touch; and yes while she AoE healed people nearby, that was something she did in the books. Most of those wounds were superficial with the exception of Moiraine's.
  2. @Cipher incase you missed it, I did edit my post with some additional thoughts.
  3. That's why they bring him to Rhuidean. He doesn't get his Markings until he goes to Rhuidean. You asked why would he go to the Wastes? They're looking for the Car'a'carn. I made a quip that they saw a dragon in the sky. We don't know where the "stone" comes into the TV show as of yet as that's part of the Prophecy of the Car'a'carn. We know that they are camped out in Falme in the show. *edit*
  4. No, this is specific scenario only pertains to new users. The TV Show Forum has a condition set up where new Topics need to be approved, which is different then what was asked.
  5. She did. 3 were visible in the open field where Lan was fighting. The 4th would have been obscured behind the stone where she couldn't have seen it.
  6. Moiraine stabs the one in the face and it falls to the ground. The descriptive Audio even confirms this as a kill by saying "it's dead body crumples to the ground". There were in fact 4. Moiraine kills one. Lan kills one right off the bat, then goes 1v2 killing 1, before Tomas kills the final one.
  7. After having read the series, are you really going to tell me with a straight face you never once thought about yeeting Egwene off of a Cliff? I seriously thought this would have been the LEAST controversial thing Rafe changed...
  8. From an Aes Sedai, a Female led organization that believes it runs the world. That it knows everything. That is so arrogant it can't even see it's own hypocrisy when talking about arrogant men... Spoken by a member of the Red Ajah. An Ajah that RJ wrote like they were militant Feminists out to castrate all males. Sounds like you were emotionally invested in the power fantasy of a red headed sheep herder that you forgot there were other characters in the story... I will give you that this was a mistaken on the show. My only guess is that this was either a mistake in the script, or Rosamund Pike messed up her line and they didn't fix it in post. I wonder if they'll go back and fix that scene like they fixed Egwene' looking at Nynaeve's ring?
  9. If it was expected that probably means you're trollin'. Because you're using politically charged language in all of your posts. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to see it. Yes. It takes a huge logic brain to see that a person from one political spectrum is mad that someone of an opposing political spectrum is the lead writer for their favorite fantasy book series, and is now on a web forum dedicated to those books talking about that show and how it doesn't conform to their political spectrum trying to assert their agenda aura onto everyone else.
  10. He went there to bury his friend, and instead helped free a caged Avi. We saw a Dain give Water to Avi. (noble Act?) Killer of Darkfriends. That's life. You can't always protect everyone. Almost like that's exactly what happens with Perrin later on with Faile in the books. 🤔 Yet I seem to recall it was Perrin that intimidated Valda with his Wolf Eyes. He was just a boy that didn't know war. He panicked. He froze. There was no stopping Uno. Uno was stubburn personified. This was the moment where Perrin learns what happens if you put pride above all else. You must have been distracted by a pretty girl to have missed all those times Perrin saved her ass from a sword coming her way. Perrin was in the Background yes, but he was kickin' White Cloak ass. So much so, he impressed an Aiel. -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- Something you've missed behind all this talk of "masculinity" and Perrin's apparent lack of "backbone" is the type of restraint it takes to not kill. The restraint it takes to not let that beast out. Perrin's personality in the books has always been one where he thinks before he does anything, because he has always been afraid that he might hurt someone if he's not careful. He figures out the solution before he acts. We can't get his internal dialogue in a TV show, so they have to show us that in other ways.
  11. It's a book series involving gender dynamics, where the women have "led the world" for a thousand years after "men" have destroyed it, and the guy (Rafe) wants to lean into that. You're literally comparing apples to oranges. A more apt comparison is making the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Christian Allegories by having it produced & directed by "Pure Flix Entertainment" with Aslan played by Kevin Sorbo, and Mr. Tumnus played by Donald James Parker.
  12. By that logic, Explain Perrin freeing Aviendha? Did they explain Perrin's fighting ability? Or are we thinking everyone's just hand waving his fighting ability as he's big and stronk, with wolf-skills?
  13. Y'all are missing out when you don't watch the Origins; and when ya go on to preach that the show should stand on it's own merits as if that's some kind of slam dunk on the show.... well content is content. It's like gloating about not watching "The Animatrix" and have only seen the "Matrix Trilogy", all you've done is missed out on some great content!
  14. The Aiel are seeking the Car'a'carn, and they just saw a Dragon flying in the sky? 😛
  15. Aye, which is why I think they can skip a lot of that and go right to the finale of TDR really early in S3 and make most of S3 TSR, leaving S4 the latter half of Book 4 and book 5+.
  16. The thing I took away from One Piece, is it shows studios you can adapt an insanely weird IP relatively accurately (relatively), and audiences will still love it.
  17. Again, this topic is about Episode 5: Damane. Not sex education or who has to get the the last word in on that topic.
  18. Sure, but again Rafe's post was in the context of Season 2. We have currently seen 5 episodes of Season 2. What content have we seen from book 3 so far? So far almost everything is based on the Great Hunt. About the only thing I've seen so far that might be from book 3, is Rand's story line is similar to how he went AWOL in book 3 when he traveled south. Rafe said: "We are trying to get a fair amount of what's done in book 1-3 (large parts still being held for later), by the end of S2 so that S3 can be a much closer adaptation of TSR." That "and later" comment IMO implies Season 3 and beyond... Making S3 a closer adaptation to TSR IMO doesn't mean making the entire season TSR. If they play their cards right, we can have Rand/Mat/Perrin and Company take the Stone in the first couple of episodes of S3. Honestly, we don't even need to spend an entire Season on that plot... (specially depending if Season 2 sets us up for a cliffhanger ending that involves them breaching the stone...)
