  1. She's nailing it. This version of Elayne, making her own Hooch? Totally something I could see Elayne do. I look forward to drunk Elayne.
  2. They totally gave us a fake out with the "wing flaps" in the subtitles...
  3. Assuming I'm not merging episodes That said, I don't know that it's so much as humanizing her, as it's motivating her towards her towards who she's working for. We finally got a look at what would happen... if an Aes Sedai had a child and... out lived them.
  4. I'm sure being unable to sense them didn't help anything. I feel like taking on two fades at Night, is a LOT, even for Lan. If I'm going to nitpick. I'm going to nitpick about Lan picking up a blade forged in Thakan'dar and attempting to fight off two Fades with two blades. I dunno if it's deadly for a human to wield one... but it feels wrong for Lan to pick one up. Getting hit by so many of those blades. That just feels wrong. Wrong enough that they had to have changed the lore of how deadly those blades were. Or at least, they're not being consistent on when it's deadly and when it's not. (Or... Verin just really wanted Moiraine to move out of her house and that's some next level Passive Aggressive tactics there...) Speaking of Verin.. Did we catch her fibbin' to Lan? In Regards "of course Moiraine's coming down for Dinnner!"
  5. @DreadLord31 Yeah, Mind moving some of that to that new topic I made? I'd do it but because you made your post first, it would make your post the first comment. lol.
  6. This is the topic to discuss Season 2 as a whole, without spoiling episode specific details for those who haven't watched all the episodes yet.
  7. Sorry about the late unlock. It was supposed to auto unlock an hour and 16 minutes ago... On first watch, my gut says.. give the episode a 7 out of 10. (That's basically average.) It was a pretty slow start, as were getting to know what everyone's up to. (Sorta no Rand) Since we already got a few of the scenes spoiled to us weeks ahead of time, it actually detracted from the episodes "rating" for me as... I've already seen that content. One gripe. The mydraal should have wriggled around after being killed. And I don't know that Lan should have picked up, let alone touched its blade. That felt wrong. Very wrong.

  11. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/the_wheel_of_time/s02/reviews?intcmp=rt-scorecard_tomatometer-reviews So far 3 splats up on Rotten Tomatoes. (IGN isn't on there) Here's a quote from The Times of India. This came off as a review done by someone who doesn't like Fantasy giving it a 3 out of 5. Is that good or bad? lol
  12. What nerd Conspiracy? At the time, it was the only negative review. They never bothered to put their name on the article. It was sus. IGN is also the same outlet, that gave S1E8 a 9 out of 10, but called the intro to episode 7"too long and gory". That's an objective fact, not a conspiracy. I then went on to say that I take IGN's reviews with a grain of salt... And here you are, casting stones. Again. After a 5 month hiatus. Why Stan? Why?
  13. It is now. It was not earlier. Please try to keep up. You're four hours late to the party. Calm down, stan. https://web.archive.org/web/20230831135219/https://www.ign.com/articles/the-wheel-of-time-season-2-episodes-1-4-review-prime-video
  14. Wonder if they read my post? Cause they finally put their name on the article... or at least, a name.
  15. Yep, if you go on the Amazon page, it now tells you what time it airs.
  16. I saw that a few weeks ago. It never really got put here because we never really entertained the idea that Barney left because he was anti-vax. He left for personal reasons.
  17. A lot of people think whoever wrote it, just recycled a season 1 review, because it goes against what a lot of what other people are saying...
  18. Of all the early reviews, IGN is the sole detractor so far. What I find odd... Who reviewed it? Who wrote the article? I can't find any name attached to that article at all. Unlike IGN's 2021 article here. You can clearly see who wrote the review for the first 3 episodes of season 3. https://www.ign.com/articles/the-wheel-of-time-premiere-review-episode-1-3 It's pretty sus to not want your name attached to an article you write for a magazine/website. Should also be noted that IGN also gave Season 1 Episode 8, a 9 out of 10 https://www.ign.com/articles/the-wheel-of-time-season-1-finale-review and Episode 7 a 5 out of 10 https://www.ign.com/articles/the-wheel-of-time-episode-7-review-the-dark-along-the-ways And they called Blood snow excessively long and gory. So I tend to take their show review with a grain of salt. lol
  19. I hope it's made up with some ass kicking in the form of knocking heads with a staff and some dice sounds. That's all I need.
  20. Sauce: https://www.thegreatblight.com/post/wheel-of-timing-analysis-an-s1-breakdown#:~:text=With 2h52m29s of total screentime,Mat (1h32m40s%2C 6.7%). Yep, and it's actually pretty damn close.
  21. It was definitely a mad scramble. Everyone was panicking. But something a LOT of people missed... The Trollocs were actively targeting all the men that were above or below the age of the person they were looking for, and killing them. They were stealing people that were the right age, presumably those that were tagged by Fain. And they were taking women that were of age to bring back with them. Going back and reviewing that scene I picked up these time stamps... So it is worth noting that there were several villagers fighting against the Trollocs, not just running around afraid before Daise rallied the women's circle to take down a couple. I'm pretty sure most of those villagers 1v1 those trollocs were among the dead or injured to.
  22. Sure. We will likely have all kinds of non-binary reflections/foreshadowing events that span beyond gender and a variety of relationship configurations.
