    Damn, must be an admin only thing. I can't even add that to the toolbar for you guys.. Umm. your next option is refresh your browser, and look for the "clear editor" text when you click back in the box. Feel free to make a topic about that! That doesn't mean he's visible to everyone else.

    We don't know. As far as we know, they've changed the mechanics to "mask the bond" to require channeling. So she "turned it off" when she went to the blight. So they're still "bonded", but it's "masked" and she can't turn it "on" because she can't channel. So it's like they're still wired together, but the powers not on. That's the best in-show explanation I've heard so far.

    Is he though? Here's a thought. Aside from knowing Perrin in the dreams... Perhaps he caught Perrin in the crowd... because Perrin was one of the few people in the crowd that could... actually see him?

    I was talking about this episode with the Significant Other last night, and she had some interesting insights. The 3rd Arch, she believes Nynaeve confronted two fears in the 3rd arch. The first where she confronted the Aes Sedia and said what she wanted to say after all these months. Not willing to give up on all her friends and family and put the tower above all else. Her second fear was losing everyone she cared about and suffer a similar fate to who parents, because she was too afraid to grasp the one power and control it to save the ones she loves. This brought up a couple of interesting thoughts. She isn't a book reader. 1) Aviendah goes through Rhuhidans rings multiple times, unlocking different properties in the process. Perhaps in this turning, these arches have an expanded property of unlocking further fears if you stay in longer? 2) Nynaeve channeled angry. I don't know if she broke her block yet. That remains to be seen. But I'm guessing we're going to see her start channeling more due to her getting over herself. It would be interesting if they've accelerated Nynaeve 's plot line where this is where she broke her block. WAFO. Lol. The final thing that she said. When Nynaeve ran towards the arches with child in arms, she came out of the arches, the blood on her was at uterus level. (we went back and found it came from Lan. But if you go back and watch it, she never actually came in contact with Lan! She had no blood on her, and then she did!) She felt that was intentional and not a coincidence. Meant to be symbolic of child loss Nynaeve is surely feeling.

    So her wording was "A dozen letters and not one mention of Mat Cauthon" The letter said "Mat", not "Mat Cauthon". Other people are saying that she's skirting the lie like this. 1) They mentioned Mat more then once. 2) They didn't Mention Mat Cauthon, they mentioned Mat. 3) She got a copy of the letter and had it written with out the mention of mat. Personally, I believe that had she read any version of the version with him in it (and not a copy with it scrubbed), I still think that's stretching the truth even too much for the oaths. "Not one mention of Mat Cauthon", to mean "haha a dozen mentions of Mat Cauthon" is something you'd expect from the White Ajah, not a Red. That would be akin to saying "I don't have a bean in my hand" and that not be a lie because "THE BEAN IS IN MY OTHER HAND" That's. just.. yeah... The idea that "Haha I said Mat Cauthon" and the Letter said "Mat", while technically true is also close enough to a lie that I think it would be hard for an Aes Sedai to confidently say aloud unless they knew they could get away with it and logic around it if it raised any eyebrows.

    Plasma TV? That's like... 20 year old tech! You want a QD-OLED TV... and I highly suggest you watch the show with the lights in a room with all the lights off, just like in a movie theater.

    TV show, we don't know if they've changed the rules on bonding/oath rods so that "shielding" can temporarily disable it. It seems "masking the bond" now requires the power rather then a mental techique. It's been implied that the bond is there but Perma masked, and that Alana is there to take Lan's bond by force if necessary. It's also worth noting, that they're definitely playing up Liandrin's sympathy angle this season with the audience, and turning the audience against Moiraine. This is 100% on purpose. They want us to see Moiraine as untrustworthy and unsympathetic, and Liandrin as sympathetic with motivations for the "greater good", like getting out from under Moiraine's thumb. This is all by design for that 180 twist when all is revealed, and Moiraine explains the "Truth" behind her "Lies". That, and I'm almost expecting them to speed up some plots a lot sooner then expected.

    Yes i read them. I just can't recall anything specific about what lan did during that time frame. New Spring I remember Lan throwing Moiraine in a pond...

    The last "War" was ~20 years ago. Tam, was a vet of that, and it shows. Erol, Rand's ward (show character) Is one, and it definitely shows. Alanna's warders? They're younglings in the show. ~30s (No idea on book age) Book Lan was 25 during the Aiel wars, dunno if he participated, but he's definitely seen skirmishes. I dunno how old they've made show Lan, I'd put him closer to 40 then 45. Lan feels like he's between Tam and Alanna's warders. He's seens thing's, but he hasn't quite been through the trauma of actual war yet. That's coming. People like to forget how relatively peaceful regional wars are in this world. Full scale wars? Those are rare and a thing of the past. They've had skirmishes, bandits... But the last big war was with the Aiel...

    Lol, the writers presented that any of the 5 could be the dragon. We all knew that was Rand, and that Rand was Male who would channel Saidin. The writers job IS to misdirecte the audience. Do you... Not remember the Marvel trailer incident?

    Honestly, skip seasons 1 & 2, watch season 3. You'll see bad ass Worf fight. He's pretty fun.

    The only reason it's moved into any kind of common lexicon, is because it's become highly popularized by those who shall not be named. Everyone should know it's junk science by now, but they'd rather keep using it because it's convenient.

    Yes. It's a term popularized by self proclaimed "alpha males" aka incels used as a pejorative. And this is neither the place or the forum. I wouldn't call it a cheap diversion. It's pointing out the reality of that user's word choice. Word choices tend to reflect a persons views and opinions. And if they're trying to convey a meaningful discussion, calling a character in a TV show a "Beta Male" is just "outting" themselves as an "incel". It's not a valid criticism, because as I pointed out, the entire premise of "alpha" is bullshit science, and anyone with two brain cells knows that.

Yeah it's a kink thing, but it's also terminology used by Incels to insult people even though everyone knows that David Mech, who wrote the paper on the "Alpha Wolves" later retracted his own research when he realized he was wrong... which just shines a massive spotlight on the people who use "alpha" terminology, showcasing how ignorant they are... (On TWO Fronts no less!) So. Unfortunately it's the two are tied together because unfortunately the Incel population that loves to use Alpha language, also use various porn fetish language like calling people cucks. One could say, it's because of their pent up energy from their lack of feminine guests because of their Alpha energy? Dammit. I feel like that time I saw my dad's facebook posts and decided I need to have the "talk" with him.. Yeah. Uhh. That is a thing, and I hate to break it to you. If you can think of it. Yes it probably exists. Yes, even that. Yep. That to. Stop thinking. It's going to cause you pain if you keep thinking of things. STOP THINKING OF THINGS! But yes, generally it's a good idea not to mention things that remind you of porn in conversation, but sometimes, certain language just leaves you going. Wait, what?! lol Perhaps King wasn't aware of the whole Alpha thing going on with Incels? Light I've gone off topic.... HOW ABOUT THOSE GOLDEN EYES?

    Yeah, it's easy to forget he took one out before they even saw him coming. He took another out with a kick. He also did this... outside. IN THE DARK, SHADOWS EVERYWHERE. Not a torch or source of light anywhere to drown out the shadows....

    And in this spinning of the wheel, perhaps "tied off weaves" is something Aes Sedai never learned... Just like in the books "inverted" weaves is something not everyone knew about.
