I'm also interested into Eldrick's response to Verbal on whether or not Darthe getting us to talk about who is and who isn't the watcher is the crux of why Eldrick finds Darthe Scummy.

I am ok with lynching Hallia based on her defense of Darthe but considering how many people are coming to Darthe's defense it makes far more sense to me to lynch him instead of risking a mislynch. That said,I will switch later if necesary.

Okay so answering your question: I am going to ISO myself.

 

It was BS until darthe posted he was watcher.

 

then I said: I thought it was a typical scum darthe move, as of late.  well as long as I have known him.  He claims a PR of some sort: whether it be post restriction or power role and then tries to stir the waters up.  Though to be honest I think he did do it in one game as town.  However I am NOT SURE.

So, You all wanted an explanation for the above and I gave the below.  However, I believe you would like a more detailed reason as to why I said what I said.  

 

Basically, to be totally and truthfully honest : If darthe keeps making moves like that (and he probably will) I will probably always suss him scum day 1 and he will have to work his way to townliness in my eyes.  Just saying.  At least until I get better at this game.   and by better I mean so that I am not sussed as scum every d1 in every game.  I know I should give darthe tbotd as well.  However,  I have been town...lemme see...this is my 14th game and I only been scum 3 times so yeah 11/14 games.  darthe has been scum a lot...actually I just went to shad's mafia database.  and Darthe you owe shad a huge mug of beer.  I just found out that out of 125 games you have been mafia 23 times other player 7 times.  So thats 30/125 which is only 24% where my 3/14 is 21%. So we are very close in % to each other of mafia/game ratio and I thought we were miles apart.  Also I feel like I am having deja vu.  Though I think it was to AJ that I apologized to cause Darthe I am sorry.  I thought that you had been mafia in all but 1 of the games we've played and then some.  However, I guess I have been wrong...unless you started your mafia streak when I started playing and/or shad's numbers are off.

 

I am saying I corrected myself because I wasn't sure what the TOTAL TRUTH was.  I just know that:

 

1. Darthe has claimed a role D1 many times as wolf

2. I remember him as town claiming a role ONCE

3. I thought that saying "null" to something so blatantly out there, even on d1 would be bad...especially in regards to darthe....sorry darthe   not a good idea for me because I almost always get in trouble for having too many null reads in past games.

Tbqf: I had left out the word "scum" in my first sentence when I wrote this originally.  Then I put in null. but then I remembered that he did it mostly as scum.  So, I settled on scum.  Then, I remembered that he did it as town. once, I think, that I knew of: Of course I don't play in every game he does and I don't keep up with all the games either.  

 

You see.  This is a game of lying.  I am not a good liar.  If I lie, I usually end up trying to tell the truth some how.  However, I love playing this game.   So my wolfyness: was me trying to tell the truth.  .

 

Then when AJ said there could be more than two conclusions, I thought about it more and listed the ones I thought about.  I just got recaught up and read dricky's post and it does make sense to an extent.  However, darthe could do it as scum just because it would make him look town.

I don't think we can maj anyone on D1. Sooh said there won't be a hammer so I think this phase is just considered plurality when the DL falls.

You're a middling read. If Wifi turns out to be scum I'd feel better but if she's Town then I think that's worse. Your posts haven't been bad persay but I think Wifi generally is a very easy target and your Town read on Hallia won't look too good if she's scum like I suspect.

 

TLDR I'm not comfortable calling you Town yet and I need some flips to have a better idea.

If Darthe is scum, do you think the entire scum team is out there defending him on this?  Or do you think it is probably null, which is why people are less "defending what he said" and more "trying to explain that it doesn't mean anything alignment-wise for him"?

I disagree with your assertion because Mafia is not black and white or played in a vacuum.

The play is unconventional and potentially stupid but it's hard to find scummy motive to it unless you believe it would have caused an immediate counter claim and that was his ultimate goal.

Are all of your current thoughts revolving around Darthe's claim and the interactions to it? I'd like to see where your thought line is beyond the Darthe drama. While I wouldn't lynch you today, all of my notes on you are connected with your thoughts and reaction to Darthe and I'd like some separation from it.

Not to knock Wifi but her posts usually are confusing. I haven't seen her scum so I don't know any of the more intricate differences but I'm not like alarmed with anything she's said. She took Darthe's claim quite literally and theorized on the possibilities of it. I don't have a problem with that.

 

As far as the Hallia thing goes, that's a plausible enough excuse for now. You're saying you can't read her well but your reasoning for having her as a Town read was "we agree on things" which isn't necessarily bad or wrong but easy enough to make.
