I like playing scum/town games. Wolf/villager game make me nervous. I find wolfs/clown/dietitians all terribly frightening.

There's no difference, people just use different terms depending on when they started or where they came from. I really just use whatever term depending on how naturally the sentence flows (shrug)

Weird to me. Been playing Mafia 10+ years. Whole wolf/villager thing has really caught on. Wolves scare me. Ever see The Grey? Peed myself three times during that movie.
