Darthe is jumping between my bottom 2 groups and the only reason he's not in the bottom group properly is because I don't have a 'good' reason. The posts of his I remember fall into either the 'here not here', 'hopping onto someone else train of thought' with a few 'pointless' ones thrown in. I don't see any posts that are really meant to solve, and I don't see any follow through. Why should he be higher?

 

Zander has some good points about Niniel, but she's up because I don't see mafia her being careless enough to say something so generically scummy as 'just gonna follow BFG' - it's possible I'm being stupid here

 

The argument with Zander has left me with more mixed feelings.

 

 

 

I haven't posted much about either wish or Lenlo yet, why focus on wish? And I explained in my next post

 

In fact I haven't really posted much at all, mostly responses to people or arguing with Zander :/

 

 

 

 

Dice isn't a massively confident read, and I was ok with Laine until her last post. But I'll try and catch her in thread tomorrow to talk to about it.

Fair enough about Thane, I guess.  It just seems strange to me that he would merit his own group, but I get it, I guess.

 

I don't see a significant difference between Darthe and anybody in your null section - at least at the time you made the post.  I don't think anybody should be feeling GOOD about Darthe at this point, but I don't feel like anybody should be feeling particularly BAD about him, either.  Having him below two people I've been advocating for lynching definitely stood out to me.

 

You haven't said much about her, but Lenlo is the person I'm trying to lynch.  I have no reason to question somebody I'm townreading having him as a scumread.  Wish wasn't a townread for me, but with three strong reads and another two or three people I didn't really feel anything about, I wouldn't have put her anywhere near the bottom of my list.  

 

 

And prior to today, I wouldn't have said you were a quieter player at all?

Darthe called you his top town for you being just fire or fiery, and at that point you were posting little more than "I agree with this" and 1-liners that didn't demonstrate to me any original content. Imo your opening was great but you haven't done anything to make you strongest town in that way, and I think Darthe is also suspicious for dropping that read, plus really? How does Darthe make that kind of read his strongest when there's nothing much to back it up?

Probably because he has played with me before. A lot, and I know when someone is new to me, they tend to misread me.

1. Nobody can clear themselves.  They can only be cleared by other players, unless you seriously want to argue that she would come in after a mafia flip from Seph and point out that she couldn't possibly be teammates with him for it.

 

2. I was being somewhat liberal with that.  My point is - you've basically had it out for him this entire game. Pretty much the first (significant) thing that you did was directed at him, and you haven't let it up since.  Once that happened, you immediately jumped on it and called other people's attention to it.  The best thing you've said about him in the first, oh, 200 posts you made was that you didn't hate some of his newer posts...which seemed to not influence your read.  Am I wrong about that?

 

3. I gave my take on it earlier and why I thought it wasn't necessarily contradictory, even if he said it was.  Do you feel I was completely off in right field with that take? 

 

 

1. If shes Scum with seph shed have already laid the groundwork for it would she not have?  And those who agreed with her would prolly clear her for it would they not?

I remember pre-MU days on PerC where we just discussed subs all the time and whether it was more likely for x to be scum if they had a history of subbing out b/c of that

I think it's POSSIBLE both of them have an agenda or one, or neither... At this point though it doesn't matter. The fights killing the thread and I don't think it's good for town regardless of their alignment. It's one thing to have a few post argument or if you legitimately think you have a scum and are going after them. It's something else entirely if you're just arguing because you wanna look right and go on for PAGES and ignore everything and everyone else.

So were different, we look at things differently and have different ways of approaching things yet me not following you on what you think of me, when I obv KNOW that Im Town is a bad sign?

 

 

It's a bad sign that you seemingly haven't grasped a lot of things I feel are pretty basic concepts.  You're not a bad player.  You're not an inexperienced player.  So yes, even though we use different methods, I would expect Town!Zander would eventually look at something I've said and say "Well, you're wrong about me, but I at least get where you're coming from."

 

 

All this doesnt mean we view, look, interrupt, process or perceive things the same way tho does it.

I know it usually means reading people's posts in isolation, but I can't really do that, people are usually connected to each other and separating them would destroy the reads I have, which are usually associative. When I ISO I group posts together by similar time frame but also related content, and also by groups of people I have as connected/tied to each other.

Lenore, do you have much experience with Hallia?  Because - with no offense intended to Hallia, I think she knows I think she's awesome - she's not exactly the "fiery reads" kind of player.  She'll give her opinion, and she'll justify it where she can, but it's not like she's going to thunderdome somebody into the ground.

We used to do that here too, but I never liked it.  Especially since I have had to sub out of both town and scum roles due to RL.
