I just realized that dice's play still doesn't make sense. I was explaining the highlights for Sooh, and I can't justify his actions when clumping them together in a summary.

He sussed Turin for his having weak reasons for voting someone (I don't remember who). Turin claimed neighbor with zander. Dice said he thought the vote should be between Turin and zander. He was already town reading Zander, which would logically mean he wanted to lynch Turin between the two. He commented on how one of them could be gf, so a cop view might not even matter (for reason not to take the alternative to lynching between them). He later stated that he thought Turin claimed neighborizer, which would mean he thought Zander would be the one between the two he was considering, but his view on zander never wavered.

 

im gonna say this once more and then thats it. People better remember it this time.

 

Turin read     before the claim i thought he was stretching and i didnt like it.  AFTER the claim   right so neghibourizer is a mistake i made when i was making mistakes in a couple of games due to not thinking clearly due to rl. But it really doesnt matter as the reason im townreading turin is his claim and the WAY HE MADE HIS CASE on Zander. It was logical yet made sense and seems to be totally from a town pov PLUS he had no need to claim when he did.

As for not wavering on Zander   you notice i made an effort to question him?  you DID read that right? his response to me said town Zander. he was frustrated. he was fixated. and guess what? He was Town. Someone   i think it was Turin who said i cant read Zander  but as BFG i think pointed out I can actually  but its a tone read for me.  And im well aware he can sound town and not be   but he cant quite keep it up all game. I can be wrong on him but i can be right too

I want Dice resolved. We either lynch him today or we lynch him tomorrow.

As for my reason for dice, it is because his actions don't match his reads.

 

He had a town read on dice and a scum read on turin.

Turin claimed neighbor with zander.

Dice talked about that we should lynch between the 2 and resolve it. (By his reads so far, he would logically be wanting to push for turin)

Dice questioned Zander, who was already his town read, for more information about the claim.

Dice later addressed the point that he was town reading Turin because he thought the claim was neighborizer. If that was the case, it would have affected his reads when it was mentioned. I don't see how it did.

And after it was cleared up that he was wrong about the claim, his sussing Turin is gone, which doesn't make sense to me. If your reason for clearing someone is false, you don't continue to clear them.

 

Feels like a cop out to me, and is why I'm sussing him.

 

Also, if he thought the claim was neighborizer, why would it have to be resolved?

Yet his actions throughout it all seemed natural. He unvoted Turin after the claim, talked to both of them decided on town-town and looked elsewhere for a vote. He didn't lock himself in to voting one of them even though that was what he said initially. I would prefer that Dice answered but I'm pretty sure I understand his continued town read of Turin as well.

This is why I've had so much trouble. A lot of his game is good. But I don't follow the logic here. If he thought Zander was town and thought Turin was neighborizer and therefore town, why did he want to vote between them? If he thought Turin turned Zander into his neighbor, why does that need to be resolved by lynching? I feel like dice didn't actually think that turin was neighborizer, that he added that in later as an excuse to not have a scum read on turin any more.

I'm not contesting so much as I am wanting to make sure people are giving good reasons. Most of it seemed to be that because the consensus is that he should die or because he didn't get lynched yesterday.  Neither is a good reason to lynch someone IMO.

If you ignore the fact that he was the majority lynch yesterday.

 

But given we don't know why he wasn't lynched why is this a good reason?

 

 

RTE was someone I saw as scummy early but i was after Rey. I switched middle of the train when zander called out to me to do something useful with my vote. Rey wasnt getting lynched so i went to my number 2

 

the things that REALLY have me wanting his lynch now is the vote shenanigans and his refusal to claim despite being at l-1 or 2 and being the lead train on D1   he flat out said he wouldnt.  so im thinking the vote shenanigans is either his role OR he is an important role to the mafia.  I wont be surprised if he flips RB because i cant think why else mafia would be so blatant and I dont think they did it to just screw with town as those sort of roles are usually x shot  can be very important tactically and arnt to be wasted for no real win

@ Alanna - I really don't like your willingness to hard defend Dice... not that it is scummy (well, kind of), but because the whole point of discussion is because we just MIGHT be wrong. To take that kind of stance reeks of hardheadedness, or of OoT (Out of Thread) knowledge...

My reasoning for Dice isn't likely to convince anyone else :(

 

There were two posts early on 'not gonna tell you cos I don't want to' sort of thing that I have as more likely town indicators - enough so that I remember looking at Dice all squinty eyed in Matrix when he was so amenable when I was asking him questions (and then I got distracted by Cory lol! me). I know this seems like a really small thing, but I think it says a lot for his mind set (although this is something I will never be able to use again) in terms of town! Dice not bothering about who he makes an 'enemy' or trying to keep people 'friendly', whereas mafia! Dice does.

 

His early vote on Turin felt really natural as well, it wasn't 'overexplained'

 

I liked his conversation with Zander/Turin - although I'd like him to clarify his continued town read of Turin once he realised he hasn't claimed neighbourizer

 

I have some tinfoil over the John thing, the action is neutral, but he kept returning to it and moved on AFTER Ithi told him to, so no way of knowing if that was something he'd 'bury' himself in.

 

And I'll admit that I become less confident later on, I don't know where his read/vote on RTE comes from and towards the end of Day 1 his content is mostly about mechanics, although even then there's reads in there.

 

And there isn't much from Day 2 that's genuinely alignment indicative, I liked his responses to Rey

 

So it's a shakier read than it was halfway through Day 1, but I'd still say town by a fair margin

as for the john thing  ive told you all before   that sorta stuff has nothing to do with alignment   thats just pure me. ive done it as both scum (think nomi) and town (try sili or tom games) for examples

My point still stands. You could be scum and just depending on your meta (her 'experience' with you) to mask it. She should never be so willing to hard defend ANYONE without mod confirmation... EVER.

Do you have any updated thoughts on RTE, Hallia, Niniel, Rey?

Hullo.

Hallia is playing her 'town' style, according to what I recall from old games with her. Kinda lurking, kinda here, throwing out tidbits and watching. I recall scum Hallia being more active.

 

RTE, again depending on old meta and gut reads, seems scummy. A town RTE is active, joking on D1, digging, prone to be the first have a WTF post when some mod shenanigans happen... I am not seeing that. He claims RL, issues, and I certainly cannot cast the first stone, but his reaction to lynch shenanigans pings hard. If I wasn't OMGUS voting Alanna, I wouldn't be opposed to voting him.

 

Niniel is more opaque to me. I don't have a lot of memory of her gameplay to form a gut read on, but I feel a lot of ITT similarity between how she and RTE are posting (style, content, short and sweet, etc.). I just don't know if that is normal for her.

 

Rey is also opaque. Nothing he has done has left an impression on me.

Tsuki, I would definitely defend someone I feel is town. This is an internet guessing game. Some people we feel we have a stronger intuition about than others. We're allowed to be wrong, but you can be sure that the next time we play with that person we're going to be very skeptical. 

 

I'll try to get some contribution in by the end of phase, but I work for another 8 hours, so I can't guarantee anything. I don't have a strong enough read on anyone really to vote anyone but RTE and I'm voting him for mechanical reasons.

That'd be cloudflare. It happens. Connection with the server screws up so it takes forever for your post to go through.

I'm afraid I don't have mod rights on this board but if you want to edit the duplicate posts and just say Cloudflare I'm cool with that.

 

If you think a post hasn't gone through it's best to copy it just in case. Then wait five minutes to see if it's been stored in the Cloudflare buffers.

 

Alternatively only post at Cloudflare time and increase your post count exponentially :)
