Ok apparently I have opinions

I won't argue that people can have/state opinions but generally speaking town do better when the games relaxed, players will naturally spend more time in thread, it becomes easier to read them and easier to self clear. Generally speaking players don't want to spend time in a game where they're being told their play is bad. And if they're not present their lynch becomes a foregone conclusion. To be fair both Nolder and Turin stuck it out a long time, so not really the case this game but they're both better players than me, so /shrug

Obviously there's a line somewhere and I don't really know where that is so take it all with a pinch of salt?

You should come play on JN more often, Lily. <3

I don't think I can keep up the pace anymore.

Games have got really active there lately but it's not more than DM games, I think.

My game was mentioned. Go sign up! Only five spots left. :)

We all have different limits for what we think is okay or not. My limit is (probably) much different than others. Those who sign up for my game knows that and there haven´t been any problems. People seem to have fun playing, I have fun modding. Like it should be.

DT is tricky, I've been guilty of it on occasion, but when you have perfect information it's natural (or at least I assume it is, I mean I'm an emotion void brit so what do I know :p) for people to side with the underdog. I think it means that fundamentally people are decent. Equally spectators (including myself) probably need to remember that 'hounding' of players in games is generally only indicative of how invested people get in games, and that's precisely what makes these games fun to play

I can understand dead players and moderators both being frustrated during these "spots" in games where things go poorly. Dead players are emotionally affixed to the game and it's outcome and I think its reasonable for them to vent their frustrations in a DT; it's part of why it exists. Most places call it "DVC" - ie Dead Villager Chat, for dead villagers to either celebrate or lament as the game goes on.

Moderators are in the unique situation where they feel extremely responsible for the state of the game and the mental health of the players (since its their game) and I can understand them getting frustrated when one of the players upset by the actions of another. It's hard to mediate and to know exactly if/when step-ins are necessary without compromising the game.

But if you are speccing in a DT for the sole purpose of taking potshots at people (and you aren't Chris, who is allowed by law) with no actual constructive reason behind it, you are probably just stoking flames for the people with a legitimate reason to be frustrated. That's no good.

I'll try to be more conscientious myself.

I'm the one who overdid it with content a bit. Now I can't tell him off with a straight face... which is really depressing lol

At least one player was reprimanded in your previous game for saying a four letter word that starts with S.

I wonder who that could have been.

It's the time zone thing. I wake up to 12-20 pages to read every morning.

Reading the thread is overrated anyway, just wait for the cop to claim a wolf peek and then lynch both of his fellow mafiosos when they both counterclaim the cop.

Worked for me
