Setup stuff.  Without knowing the setup remaining scum were looking at a cop, a doc, a BACKUP doc, a possible commuter, modconfirmed Town [which is like having two Town players, fwiw, with the 2nd being an innocent child], a proven vig, and a cop cleared VT.  Oh.  And a tree stump.  lol.  I was looking at this and wondering how scum ever had a chance!  Personally?  Despite the public pants down SHELLACKING?  I had a great time in this game.  When I could play...  :(

 

I actually thought the set-up ended up being relatively scum-sided

Really in any iteration where the Vader role was recruited Mafia had like a 90% chance to win the game because of that alone, it was too swingy of a role.

You guys only needed about ~3 mislynches to win with 5 members and a survivor ITG. Different story if Sili dies before Shad ofc.

I don't see a case for that at all.  Sili being recruited was the only shot mafia would have at winning this game.  Two cops, a doctor, a phoenix, and a stump?  Even with the potential negative utility of a hated and vig, that would be incredibly difficult for mafia to overcome.

Yeah. Basically the game was swingy based on actions. Like - there was a legit chance we never kill Amidalla. OR Anikin is viged/lynched/killed before Amidalla dies. That sort of thing.

 

I'm not saying it wasn't balanced as best it could be IN RETROSPECT but those were my thoughts IN THE MOMENT not knowing the full setup or Wombo's role.

As for setup balance, I'd say it was maybe a bit town-sided but mainly just very swingy.  The hated and the survivor and the Anakin role all made things really unpredictable.  Overall, a fun setup imo.

did the role pms really not tell sili he was a symp or that he could choose to win with town if he was lynched or Zander he was town backup?

 

and was this the first time mafia conceded on DM? not that it would have mattered except for sili's soul in this case but I don't think I've ever seen that happen before.

I think it might be the first formal mafia concession I've seen here, but it didn't really make much of a difference other than saving some time.  No matter who he shot, he woulda been hyperlynched.

Only thing that would have really jacked this game up is if Sili had been viewed instead of Dice. Then short of someone noticing the write-up on my death him and Yates would have been pretty impossible to lynch.
