It's really good

I also love their hot salsa with chips

Let's just power lunch from my list up while talking about how much I love Chipotle

There are two Tresses on my list, and that's okay with me

@Cass - in case you missed it, I've been on vacation in Las Vegas and am on my way home now. So...catch up is coming. And thread presence.

Yey! Did miss that it was a vacation, hope you had fun.

Yeah, it's alright to be wrong.  I continue to advocate that opinion.  That is different from actively maintaining beliefs you think are likely to be wrong or from acting on the basis that you are wrong.  Neither of those are beneficial and you can't figure things out if you can't distinguish the 75% from the 25%.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time casing you atm tbh.  I want more from you but the onus is on you to show yourself as a townie.  Threatening to wolf read me means nothing to me, I actually invite it.

Oh, and opinions would be wonderful and valid.  You have beliefs.  Had you read all of the posts in this thread objectively instead of looking for whatever odd angle someone could be pushing (essentially giving those people credit for some sort of undefined deceptive ability they probably don't possess) I don't see how you could maintain over half of your reads.  What it looks like is you suspect anyone who plays a LOUD game.  I'll provide just one example that I can recall.

Fair enough. I don't think that the bold in the first part applies to me. I've been adjusting my reads where I think I'm likely to be wrong. Can agree with everything else.

Stopping after page 11 but I would say it's very likely that Wombat/Verb/Cass/Sooh/Dice/Clov contains 2+ wolves

I will give you a better and more concise list later but right now those are the people I am most wary of

These sorts of posts/reads bother me Cory - how am I supposed to work out if your motivation for putting wolf suggestions out is more Town than Scum if you don't provide the reasons why/encourage more discussion?

Like... you know my MO as a villager by now. My biggest problem with you is this whole perma-catchup, avoid real time shenanigans and the fact that while you are asking questions A) most of them are inane and B) I don't think they are questions you legitimately care about the answer to! Which has always been something I've jotted as wolfy for you. You overplay your "tinfoil" - ie it seems this game your top wolf suspects are people that are not gonna get lynched anytime soon, absolving you of a need to get involved closer to EOD.

I would think you flip wolf like 75%+ percent of the time here. Am I wrong?

It will be interesting to see if your opinion changes after the post/reads list I just made. You are wrong, I flip Town here 100% of the time.

Part of what's bugging me about you is your push that I'm wolfy in this game without you even trying to see where I'm coming from as Town. I do not know your MO as a villager by now. I've only played that one mash with you and I don't think that counts. I've never had in game experience with you and the most of what I know about your meta from discussions is that you generally make good reads and do well at hunting down wolves. I've never seen how you do it for myself. Here I was trying to give you insight into what I'm actually looking for and how I hunt, and you give me nothing back but generalised suggestions about things that potentially make me wolf. If that's your in game MO, fine - but don't expect me to believe it's something you wouldn't do equally as wolf.

Like Darthe, if you're Town it actually annoys me that you think/are pushing that I should be doing something different already as Town. Why do you think this?  I have survived exactly one Town game to the end and it was my first. I have had personal discussions with you about this and you never really seem to get where I'm actually at, so I can see you suggesting the same thing as Town, but I find it incredibly frustrating, and again - in game it's not something I would put past either of you to use as Wolf against me, because it works. How am I even supposed to address your points A) and B) other than tell you that I'm actually doing my best here? What are you hoping to achieve through that other than overtly discrediting my attempts and overall style as wolfy? How does this ever not equate, in my Town mind, to something making you more likely wolf?

I don't know what else to do about this. I've repeatedly said I want/need a mentor as Town. I'm not joking, and I am not 'overplaying my tinfoil'. I am perpetually stuck in perma-catchup and have no idea how to glean valuable information from real-time interactions and it bugs the hell out of me because I know it's holding back my play. Until I break that barrier (and I'm trying!) I'm going to be stuck doing what I'm doing: combining gut feels on certain players and their possible motivations and the inconsistencies I find when combing through their posts. I am the first to admit this works terribly in the early game, especially when I'm slow.

If you actually want specific questions answered by me or specific opinions from me to help you figure out my alignment more, if something genuinely confuses you about my tone or behaviour, all you have to do is ask. This is what I've been waiting for you to do. This is how I expected Town Cory to play with Town Cass. All you have done so far is judge me on your too-high expectations of me, point your finger and give examples of eye-glazing posts I've made in this game, and in my first game as wolf. Notably, to me, you didn't even analyse the differences between those two posts, or bother to search for the very similar posts I made in my one game as Town - Why? How am I wrong in finding the potential for the motivation behind that to be wolfy here quite large? FTR, the answer to this question does matter to me, either way.

I read this post.  Kinda liked it.

Some players like to read people primarily through real-time interactions.  I'm not one of those, but I will admit that there is a lot of utility in it, so Cory's request is legit.  Also, I don't personally think you've ever needed a mentor.

Agree with everything in the bold, am unlikely to be one of those people ever either. This mentor discussion always bugs me but thanks for the vote of confidence I guess.

I feel like I lose mental power every time I read people telling Cass to try harder and then read Cass telling them that she is.  Obviously there is a disconnect here.  Someone needs to blink, and I think it needs to be Cass.

Yes.

Well you can't say work smarter, she is obviously thinking about things.

Wait, maybe that's it.

CASS, THINK LESS.  YOU'RE THINKING WAY TOO MUCH ABOUT THIS %&$^

Yes.

If Cass is a villager we'll have a long talk after this game

If she's a wolf, whatever

Yes PLEASE!

You just know Cory would love to roll V/V/V

So I'm assuming this is three games running simultaneously?

v/v/v pls

Yep.

I will agree if I can talk about Anna's Taqueria and you don't lunch me.

Neither is her real location.  She doesn't have a real location until we observe it and collapse her wavefunction.

Kaylee when have I ever fooled you? I don't remember ever wolfing against you

In games I've read but not played. I just never trust you sorry.

That's fine, I'll take it as flattery at this point considering I think I am legitimately out of my wolf range this game (which means I'm just going to have to become a better wolf next time I wolf)

We had good times in Nyn's Buffy game tho :(

I'll miss youuuuuuuuuuuuu

I'll be delighted to hear about your new theme idea Womby.  I want to implement a couple of setup changes as well so we can get together on that.

Can some of you tell me how many wolves are in

Darthe

Verb

Cory

Clov

Wombat

Andrej

multiple responses appreciated

Yellow on Cory for the discussion we had yesterday and that I'm just not ready to say villager yet, though he's trending towards that.  Prob should be light green, but I already changed the color, and...lazy.

Orange on Wombat because he's in my WTL pool.

Various ranges of village reads on the others.

I know.  That game still makes me smile.  Chauvinist was good btw, deserves rep but Verb is awful so sorry

h8u, not my fault

I can occasionally turn a good phrase.  Verb is the worst.

dice - N0 town peek

Verby - engaging, scum hunting, and sexy.

Darthe - I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually have you as a town lean. You're not doing that thing where you become a wordsmith and try to sound like you are talking down to everyone.

Kaylee - your tone and posts over all have a slight townie vibe. I wish you had time to do your ISO to see where everyone falls in your list.

Bewbs - I liked Nyn's posts, but the way she and Halli were out of sync in the beginning is slightly unnerving. Still have a slight town lean from Nyn's posts. She seems engaged and that gets harder for her to fake as the game goes on.

AJ - I think it's pretty clear I have a hard time reading you, this game will be a bit easier for me than last game though since it's not as complex. I currently have you at a slim town read, you probably could be higher, but I wasn't thrilled that you were mentioning that you wanted to vig me before I even had a chance to really post in the game.

Tress - I actually forgot Tress was playing. Waiting to hear from her.

Cory - slightly apprehensive. I'm going to need a couple of flips and gauge how he's been interacting with players and their alignment to get a decent read.

Cass - half of your posts feel overly defensive and your initial reads list is what caught my eye. I know people are asking you to interact live, and that seems like it would really help with reading you instead of reading the large blocks of text. Or, wait to post until you are fully caught up and can interact as soon as you post your thoughts. Still getting slightly off vibes from you, but I have liked a few of your posts. Cass getting defensive though, feels scummy. I do like that you are adjusting and that is starting to move you up, but I haven't seen enough yet to get a comfortable town vibe yet.

Dingbat - I see a lot of scolding and explaining so far. Also, you've gone with the consensus scum read. Meh.

Sooh - Her question to Clov in the beginning did feel off, but I'm not sure if she was just going for humor. I haven't liked the AtE in thread though. I don't like that you haven't voted or really pushed on anyone else. In your initial reads list you had Tress slightly above null, I don't get that read at all.
Clov - I'm getting all sorts of tingly vibes from you, and they aren't good. The push on dice felt easy and opportunistic.
