Let me make an analogy that should demonstrate why I'm so crystal clear on the subject:

 

I'm saying that an M-16 fires 5.56 mm ammunition.  

You are saying that you found a line in a wiki article that states that you don't HAVE to fire 5.56 mm ammunition if your M-16 is equipped with an M203 grenade launcher.

But you are saying this after stating that you don't have an M203 grenade launcher.

 

Look at your wiki article then look at what your role PM says.  Your wiki article gives you general information about how the role COULD BE set up.  Your role PM states how your role IS set up.  You claim your role PM states "You will receive a report whether that player has a gun in flavor."  That means that a player's flavor text would need to indicate that they have a gun.  That is very different from stating that any non-hero would be treated as though they have a gun because that is not at all what your role pm says thus your argument is not valid.  You have no grenade launcher so your M16 fires 5.56 mm rounds.  Case closed.

 

What you think about flavor isn't what you think it does. You may have lots of experience in how a role is set-up. But you are sorely mistaken. I just posted my role  pm and what I just told you is exactly what my pm said. I asked Mynd on what it meant and if I could have a wiki article. And the one he gave is the one I showed you. Which you are apparently too experienced to read. You should understand that you are not the mod and what you think you know about roles may not be correct seeing as how the thread shows that Mynd didn't go for the standard versions for roles.

I have an issue with this.  See, if Notbob had sent a message to someone else then we wouldn't be funneling everything through you, who we thought would be silenced today.  IMO that indicates a fake ability or something fishier by far than if he had sent it elsewhere/played that differently.  I'm not remotely convinced here.

hmmm that seems a likely character to be included, making it a risky false-claim... Still, I'm beginning to think the mafia would have been given safe false-claims (or a selection of possible characters) to stave off all the towns info-gathering powers. Especially since character claiming and even role pm quoting is permitted. It makes me sure that Mynd gave the mafia something to work with and counteract how op those rules allow the town to get.

I don't think Dawn's power was too weak, personally. She has a recruit power. Also I don't think it is a lover's form. In one of the games, I am co-modding we tried to avoid that. The deletion of one faction completely.

Also, AJ. His refusal to move his vote is weird but the reasons behind it I get. Yates, Tommy-you guys wonder why people would do that? It's because of what you guys are doing. Everyone who shows a slight bit of opposition or thinks outside of the box from what you guys say, you immediately label them as scum. And, it's downright annoying. I don't care at this point what you guys label me over this.

 

I gave my role pm and the wiki which was given to me to see how the role would function in this game. Anyone is free to see how it works-I have basically given everything that is in my pm.

Hoof, I don't think it will work that way. If Dawn's partner dies, that one faction would be entirely destroyed. Cult's do not completely die if the leader is killed. I don't think the game would be constructed that way. 

 

Your second sentence is why I believe Dawn to be telling the truth about her role pm. She could have exactly done that-posted a fake pm.

Darthe, Arsis, Yates: you guys know how it generally turns out that there's a scum in the lock clear group or among the most pro-town or vocal players?

 

I don't think we have that in this game. I haven't had cause to tinfoil on any of you yet. The players who are most active and interested appear to actually be town and their roles and mechanics support that so far.

 

So I think scum has been completely washed out by our incestuous little group here and our claiming and vetting of each other and our overall volume.

 

I don't think the game will be terribly difficult to solve, I think we just have to stay vigilant and go for the most efficient uses of abilities.

 

What AJ is proposing is not the most efficient use of abilities, so I'm against it. (I also don't like the tone of that post, the way it ends in "Sorry." feels actually scummy).

Sell me on Arsis as town.  I have yet to see it all game.  Actually, do me a favor and do an ISO of him and tell me if you can find a post only a townie would make in the 7 pages he has.  I couldn't quote or I would have built a case when I just went through but IMO he isn't someone you should have that sort of read on.  Also, I think I would be the NK.  My ability has the most potential to wreck scum at LYLO/MYLO so they can't really afford to keep me around in the long run.  

 

Also, AJ totally caught me off guard too.  I don't see scum ever saying that simply based on how ??? it is but that's WIFOM.  If you want me to go on AJ or X I'd rather go X but give me a name and I'll place a vote.

I think this is either a mod given fake or a well crafted scum fake. Tommy already faked a PM from Mynd and no one questioned it so that's not impossible.

Your role is still bad and lacks flavor as has been pointed out, if it's real it's the weakest of town roles so I don't believe it. 

Furthermore IIRC Coulson (appeared to) died in Avengers 1 and isn't in Avengers 2 making the inclusion...odd. Granted a lot of our heroes aren't planned to be in Avengers 2 but still. It's the little things like this that make me more than a little sure.
