Poor Teddy. What is wrong with him?

He probably ate something, I'm just watching him to make sure it's not an allergic reaction. He's been getting sick this morning.

Tbh I'm not disappointed at all that we didn't secure a lynch. We still had a productive D1, we have a ton of interactions to go through and the way all the trains switched up there for a bit should be very telling later in the game with more info.

And the only only info we really lost out on is Pray's flip- and there's a very good chance we'll figure out his alignment at some point anyways, so it's not like we missed out on the chance to get info from the lynch completely, the info will just be delayed.

This is why I'm often a fan of running up various wagons D1, then ending with a No Lynch towards EOD. It kinda puts a lot of pressure on the mafia team, since they have the game's first kill which tends to give away more info to town if they choose the wrong target. This game not having the random no coroner makes the risk much smaller for not securing a lynch.

And incidentally not only did I think Pray was town before, but his character claim makes me think he's even more likely to be town. Again, this is WIFOM, but Wonko the Sane is a pretty obscure character to use as a fake claim. Additionally, the manner in which Pray revealed, along with his self-vote, make me doubt he did so to try and save his skin.

In fact, Nyn has been tinfoiling about a lot of my other town reads for quite some time now, so her recent fos @ Pray for his self-vote seems even stranger. Might have to take another look at her.

Speaking of claims btw, Hallia's is just

I don't think I've ever seen you say this before.

On other notes, I can agree that not getting the lynch on Pral isn't the worst thing that could happen. I'm thinking he's town, so for one we avoided a mislynch. You're also right in saying that we're likely to find out his alignment eventually anyway. It'll be interesting to see who comes out to case him tomorrow after the pile on at EOD.

As far as the claim goes, I'm not really following you on the obscure thing. If anything, I would probably think the opposite but then again I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to this game's theme.

I also, and continue to think, that Nyn looks scummy this game. She seems to be taking things that would generally be viewed as pro-town or null and casting them in a bad light. There was a post by BFG earlier that she 'me too-ed' on that I thought was pretty opportunistic.

I obviously disagree lol

I actually think it's a bit narrow minded to say something like that. Just because something seems pro-town and null to you, doesn't mean that it does for me. And vice versa. I don't feel there are any constants in the game, but rather interpretations. I have my way of thinking, my concerns, a rather paranoid persona and my thought process is not necessarily compatible with others. And that's fine. But ultimately, If I've pointed out that something looks bad to me, it means that it does. EOS. And I tried to explain it to the best of my ability. Am I always right? I would never claim that.

It's just like I was talking about with Tommy when we were playing in Real Genius. He was trying to teach me a bit more about mafia and linked me to a person's post describing what to look for when trying to scumhunt. sort of a 101 scumhinting tips. It referred to all kinds of things, for instance that vote hopping loads was a townie trait and placing a vote on one person and not moving it much is more of a scummy trait. And then I laughed and said that I hate loads of vote hopping and that I usually viewed that as a bad thing, and wouldn't really do that myself. In fact, 60-70% of the signs of scuminess that were pointed out there are stuff I do as a townie.

So again, a matter of interpretation.

Sometimes I wish I had a second brain so I could turn this one off.

(We have mothers day today.)

I had no idea you were Algerian!

She's from Sweden.

I figured as much.  Wikipedia listed today as Mother's Day in Algeria, France, Morocco, and Sweden.  Sweden is really the only one that made sense with "land of the polar bears", but saying that would have ruined the joke.

Something I forgot to mention-

Cory, I don't know how you expect us to receive that Arthur Dent claim, along with you saying you'll pretty much never role claim. I mean... wth dude? Obv you'd know that claiming a major character as town will likely make mafia wanna NK you anyways in the chance that you are roled, and fake claiming a major character would just be dumdum as town. So I don't follow at all why'd youd character claim like that so quickly, yet act adamant about not role-claiming, when the role-claim would likely get attention off you from townies quicker than a character claim (any game where character claims are allowed I expect the mod to hand out fake claims, so in other words I completely disregard any character claims I see).

I'm kinda worried that Clov might have made an excellent point, about how you character claimed quickly in the WWE game but didn't role claim (when you we're scum)

First, although their are obvious differences it's worth noting that Pral also didn't role claim and just character claimed. Second it's interesting that you disregard Cory's claim and say that you pretty much always disregard them and yet accept Pral's very easily. Can you explain why you think an obscure character is more likely to be a true claim?

In terms of characters there are maybe 7 characters that appear in more than one book, after that there are 120 odd other characters with varying degrees of presence. Zonko is a reasonably important person in 'Book' 4, although there may be differences between the books and radio series - I'm more familiar with the original BBC broadcast than the book, and their are characters such as Lyntilla that I remember from the BBC broadcast that I don't recall from the book, so maybe Zonko's more/less significant in the book than the radio show.

Ultimately I agree with Des's original statement that fake character claims have likely been given out so the point is null.

In theory I agree with Nyn about the timing of the vote not necessarily indicating Pro-Town in the normal way. But I also remember Pral not voting for the counter train in Settlers of Cataan as Town so I'm hesitant to disregard it altogether.

Des contradicts himself by saying that he disregards character claims when Cory claims, but accepts with no question when Pral claims.
