I am extremely sorry that I have not posted anything as my computer crashed today and I also was busy the past few days. My apologies.

Zanube - extremely absent. She really needs to step it up for me to put her anywhere near my town pile, she is pretty high close to scum for me. Her last min vote on MishTress seemed very much like she was told to come on and vote and to pick anything to make it seem like it wasn't just a bandwagon vote. It was weird that she picked a post from Tress that she agreed with and then voted them.

I did not vote MishTress as a bandwagon vote. In Tress's reads on Mish's posts, I agreed with her reads on Mish's first three posts. I didn't agree with on her reads about Mish's other posts and also about Despo .Mish also picking on X's introductory post seemed scummy. It seemed scummy to me and that is why I voted her. I didn't vote her as a band wagon vote.

So...when should we be expecting any more game play out of you? Everything that happened all game and you comment only on yourself.

@AJ: Sure he can hide for the majority of the game but sooner or later people will get fed up with his attitude and lynch him anyway. More importantly however it isn't a good idea to be in a "perma-catch-up mode" when you are mafia because you won't be able to influence the other players in the thread.

@Mynd: And what if he really ended up forgetting about it? Maybe the dude just has a bad memory. His explanation seemed genuine to me and I find it silly to lynch a person over such a whimsical thing.

It seems unlikely to me that you could be THAT confident that his reaction was genuine when it looks bad to multiple people.

I don't care. Just because more people believe something doesn't mean that it's right.

CorJay: posts like the above show me that Cloud isn't overly concerned with how he appears ITT. I believe if he was scum and all of CorRayJay was harassing him to drop a read, he would want to slowly back down from it if he knew he would eventually look bad when Krak flips.

I don't really apply the 'too scummy to be scum' card when it comes to Cloud anymore. I've given him passes in past games thinking there was no way he would do some of the things he has done as scum and found out later I was terribly wrong.

Scummy Cloud is usually scumCloud, plain and simple.

Red - basically all you need to know is to protect Yates until you die. K?

me puttign my ass on the line for soemone on this game (ie: protecting them, since i'd ake their kill and all) depends on if i think their scum or town.  at this point, Yates is one of the last people i'd protect becuase i'm getting a strong scum ping from him.  this may change when i get fully caught up ofcourse.  a lot has likely happened in 20 pages.

I'll put this a little more nicely than my other head did. Once you've read up hopefully your mind will change, but for now your objective is to keep Yates alive.

I would like to lynch Krak so we can see if the Amega-Cloud-Krak connection merits follow up.

If Krak flips town, how would that affect your view? I'm pretty confident that Cloud is scum here. His hard defense of Krak could just be a pocketing attempt.

So... meta?

More or less. I don't think you've had the pleasure of playing with Jack before, but as others have pointed out (Womby/Verb), he's pretty much the scummiest townie known to man when town. He is very good at catching scum though, as wild as his thoughts may seem.

Red it's simply if you don't die tonight then you will get lynched tomorrow.

Lol... transparency anyone? Posts like this make me pretty confident the scum team has a RBer or something to neutralize Yates' ability, so they wouldn't necessarily be worried about having to NK him. I literally just pulled this same stunt in the Clash of Ancients game where we left the VIG alive because I was the RBer so we could hunt for other PRs.

D3 starts, someone other than Red or Yates turns up dead and then we start the Red speed-lynch wagon, right?

Cloud - Why did you wait for today to bring up Jack's catch up post from D1? Seems rather convenient considering he already had a vote from Yates which allowed you to switch from the Mynd wagon.

There are several issues that I have with your play this game, outside of the things that Amega has done that ping me. For one, the pressure you applied to Mish which later flopped to not wanting to lynch her because she claimed VT and self-voted. You say your reads changed, okay. I can buy that to a certain extent. The funny thing here is that at the time we were proposing the Mynd CFD, which you were sorely against, but today you have little issue jumping onto his train. Makes me think of a statement a certain player made about shooting the scummiest player OFF the lynchee wagon if they flipped scum.

AJ: if you are LAWK convinced Cloud is scum I'm willing to sponge you on that read because maybe you're seeing something myself and Cory are not

I'm still all for the Mynd lynch. If he flips scum it will validate some of the things Cory and I have discussed in our QT.

I disagree.

He can just play in 'perma-catch up mode' so that he's never really on track with what is happening in the game currently. Do you think there was townie motivation in him nearly ninja-hammering Red without fully reading up? This is a point against Jack as well, I admit.

Do you mean Krak sometimes does this, or that he might end up that way due to the speed of this game?  Just looking for clarification here.  I'm agreeing with you mostly, except in the above listing, I'd prob put Mynd in the red and Dawn in the yellow.  My take on Dawn is that she's trying to learn from the Twilight game and is attempting to play more reserved.  It is causing her to be suspicious, but I don't see anything overt in her posts.

##Yates

why you parking your vote here.

I've been sitting on this nugget for a while as the game progressed.

I want everyone to look at this quote and analyze it critically with the information we have now and the choice of words used by Amega.

Typically, who 'parks' their votes? I think Amega very sloppily scum spewed Krak while also pseudo-clearing Yates, who is pretty much vetted at this point.

This is a pretty good find.

Red, Yates is the Vig.

Please die for town as soon as possible.

You are generally amusing, but every once in a while I flat out laugh from one of your posts.  Serious gameplay + situationally appropriate humor = fantastic.

@AJ: I never said that I was against a Mynd CFD; I only said that I was feeling more confident with my scum read on Red and that I could switch to Mynd if needed. Do you seriously blame me for not switching to him when there were two previous QFD's on him that both resulted in a train of two votes and Red was playing so incredibly scummy?

What does CFD stand for?

It's been used a few times now and I can't quite figure it out, though I assume it has to so with competing trains, perhaps ones that only apply last minute?

Posted

My issue with Dawn is that even if she is trying to play more reserved, her only real gameplay is voting three people that I believe are town in consolidation situations. The way she reacted when I asked her to put her vote on Mynd during EOD. And her vote on Jack today... If she is town and completely lost in the thread, why she quietly making these incredibly important decisions? And then she explained all of her votes as jokes.

If Mynd flips scum - and I'm pretty sure he will - this is not something we can continue to sweep under the carpet. I understand that she is young and that she is a new player, but my job here is the catch Mafia and I'm going to do it regardless of who they are.

Not sure if Cloud's vote counted for Mynd.  I think he's L-3 or L-2.

##Vote: Mynd

I'm pretty sure you just hammered him.

I don't think he has. I think he's at L-2.

CFD means Chinese Fire Drill.

It's Mafia slang for when a large amount of people vote for a person quickly in the face of the competing train.

My vote on Jack was not a joke. (Even though I'm not sure exactly why he seems scummy to me, there's just something about him...)

And I have to vote someone. If I don't vote anyone, people will question me even further.

Yes, it's good that you aren't automatically clearing me just because I'm new - that could result in a big mistake. At least in another game. Because in this game, I'm town.

Dawn is defscum, btw.

Except I'm not.

If so many people think I'm scum, why is nobody voting me?

Fair point on Dawn. I will admit that a lot of the heat she has caught from me is transferred through Cory. I'm usually more lenient when it comes to new players, but the overall lack of commentary except to respond to posts regarding her does bug me.

I would say that I can't speak intelligently enough on Krak's meta as either alignment to say that this is a strategy he would use. This is mostly from a lack of playing with him. However, I think some valid points have been raised against him and my view of other players surrounding him doesn't help. I can't decide if Cloud's defense comes from a scum/scum place or if Krak actually is town and Cloud is buddying/WKing.

Yes. Why wasn't Red your target for today then if you found her so incredibly scummy? What about her changed your view from the EOD1 to the start of today where you voted Mynd and then changed to Jack?

I've been pretty good about keeping up with games recently, but this one is about as bad as I've been in a while.  Definitely don't use perma-catchup as a strategy because it's pretty much the opposite of fun.  And the purpose of these games is to have fun, right?
