"Hey Guys, Nolder is on my QT but he just ratted me out so I think he's scum and that one player from each group QT is mafia. This explains why Nolder was going after the inactive ICE (who is likely mafia) because if he flipped mafia, it would make Nolder look sooooooo town, he would need a mayor!"

So, it is possible that there is a mafia on each of our CUTIES. Makes sense why I was not told in any way who my teammates are or their alignment. I only have my name and faction.

Oh dude if you ever want a mentor for a game just ask. There are plenty of people who will gladly help, they just don't want to accidentally insult/offend by offering or they don't notice that you need/want one. I'm sure if you ask the mod of a game your signed up for they could find someone.

first thoughts:

- Interesting read between AJ and Wombat, for the moment i tend to follow AJ's reasoning more than Wombat's.

- some joking around, but that's normal on D1 (and for some players)

Nose is running like there's no tomorrow, and my head is swimming. Past time for the Nyquil.

Quick thoughts, hopefully I'll be less hazy in the morning.

I read Womby's vote on AJ as a gamestarter attempt - bold, little explanation, getting reactions. Despo's sheeping the vote was blatant and looks to me like a push to help with the gamestarting, pretty clear he was after AJ's reaction to the train. Willing to put both of them provisionally in the town pile for now.

AJ was doing OK for a while IMO in reaction, although I'm not fond of the way he mischaracterized what Despo said ("he indicated rather strongly that he thinks you are town") and then when called on it backtracked to "well that's how I interpreted it"... Questionable.

Lewis appears to be making mountains out of molehills - first game here, and I'm sure he's not familiar with the general feel of our games. Early D1 there really is little to go on, so most cases are trumped up or meta based - and since he doesn't know our metas, nitpicking is pretty much the way to go I suppose... But I disagree with the way he's characterizing Wombat's play, especially picking on the FOS without a vote thing - that looked pretty much like a joke to me, and most everyone was very much still joking around.

Okay don't have a lot of time, we were pretty busy tonight and I wanted to focus on the Mistborn game first since I neglected it last night.

So Jack flipped town. Bleurgh. Jack, one thing if you're still reading this: Something about your play that always seems to rub me the wrong way, and which has led me to suspecting you a lot in games lately, is that you often seem too concerned with self-survival. For me, this is a big time scum trait. You'll flip flop on reads if it means someone else getting lynched instead of you, you'll fall into whyme fryme and omgus traps a lot, in general your play just seems too self-aware. It doesn't look like you're studying others as much as you are studying for mentions of yourself.

Anyhoo, we still had a productive day imo. Still got great leads on a number of players, and there's a wealth of interactions to read through for later rereads. Plus Darthe showed up and it even looks like he's town as well. His first post (saying he wouldve lynched Jack right before we got the flip) looked to me like a trick to try and earn towncred to me, but his later explanation about this made sense to me, and his wot's look genuine instead of forced.

AJ did actually respond well in his last post to me. I might reconsider my read there. Nol looks worse with Jack flipping town imo, but I also wanna do some train analysis when I get a chance cause there's a chance scum dove in to save Lenlo.

All I got for now, sorry will try to check in later today.

*shakes head* I HAVE if you have been paying attention. Scumhunters in this game already know where I'm from. Those who are scum and are being defensive rather than investigative do not because they haven't read the obvious clues right in front of them. Even JackD got one exclusively for him when I bid him farewell.

For example, LOUIS FRIEND is an anagram for IRON SULFIDE, as many people who either have taken basic chemistry OR watched Silence of the Lambs, knows is "FOOLS GOLD" - but I chose to spell LOUIS as LEWIS in honor of my recently deceased cat.

So, who would be a Golden Age Fool who spells his name differently? Someone who is Jogging your Brain, perhaps? There ya go.

Town players who are pro-town are explicit with their info. Hence....~~BAGUETTE~~ GO VIKINGS!

Vikings began as me, AJ, and Ice. Ice was painfully inactive to the point that Nolder must have hatched ~~an egg~~ a fiendish plan. It wasn't looking good for him so he figured, "hey.....since ICE is the super secret hidden mafia dude like I am, I can push for his lynch and this would make me look like Mr. Towniepants." It would have worked if his pantaloons were not already on fyre.

Now, team members. Ask yourself this. Who on your team is likely scum? My guess is ICE/Darthe for us. Nolder for the Egyptians. Dawnflower is scum on whatever team she's on. Lenlo has been pinging on everyone's scumdar. Finally.....someone has betrayed Ron Burgandy?

Imo they arent. At least one faction has to not have scum and I think it more likely that one has two scum and then two are empty. Thats how it balances best withthe least swing. Otherwise we could clear two people each time we found the scummer in a team.

I'm not completely convinced, but how else do you explain Nolder voting for JackD if they are both Egyptians?

At first, I read JackD's post as a bitter betty, but it makes sense that with five teams of three that one on each team is scum. No one civilization on the list could be the obvious choice for scum or town. Each had their good and bad. In a game were (apparently) everyone has a CUTIE, but no one was guaranteed of the other team member's alignments, that one person on each team would be scum.

Nolder's vote of JackD to seal his fate was brilliant if he is scum. He probably just didn't count on JackD calling him out before he was lynched. Safe to assume they are/were on the same Civ team based on JackD's reaction.

So, who is the third Egyptian? Perhaps that person can enlighten us on how this whole thing went down. Also, I implore every Civilization to start thinking about who on your team is likely scum.
