[BASIC] Physics Mafia: GAME OVER, Town and Lenlo wins!

VANILLA TOWN

 

1-) Physics can be quite mysterious, and that is why you’re here, to shed light on the mysterious. You are Kirchoff’s circuit law. You allow for complex circuits to be analyzed and made sense of by creating rules for current and voltage at junctions.

3 - ) Say it with me now, eigenvalue. Say it out loud, because that is what you are. In short, you are a mathematical method used for analysis in physics. As an example, think of a many bodied system. Say, a thousand people connected by ropes of varying sizes up in space, and they can all move in all 3 dimensions (up-down/left-right/forward-backward). It would be really hard to perfectly analyze the motion of 1 person because they are affected by 999 other people!! Instead, you can write down a special equation that contains the motion of all 1,000 people at once, and then you can separate that special equation into unique parts. Think of the unique parts as the eigenvalues. In short, eigenvalues make it possible to describe complex systems.

In order to approximate radiation from almost anything else, black-body radiation is used as a starting point of the approximation. Thus, a black-body radiator is a ubiquitous concept in many areas of physics and incredibly useful for understanding more complex phenomena. And that is you, you are black-body radiation.

5- ) Einstein didn’t win the Nobel prize for special relativity. No, he won it for the photoelectric effect. Still though, relativity describes the ultimate speed limit of the universe, the speed of light, and how nothing can ever go faster. Kinda puts a kabosh on time travel...except for forward in time that is. And that is you. You are relativity. Not the general kind though, the special kind.

6-) Giant magneto-resistance. A pretty cool physics concept that recently won the nobel prize. Oh, and it is also the reason you’re reading this as GMR is what we use to control hard drives in our computers, biosensors, and other devices. GMR allows for very precise reading of magnetic states in thin films based on electrical resistance and controlling that electrical resistance by applying external magnetic fields.

7 - ) You are entropy. And you’d probably think entropy would be a bad thing. Causes disorder, will lead to the eventual heat death of the universe, all that. But then again, without entropy life would not exists as it is the careful balance of entropy and enthalpy that allows for proteins, DNA, and other structures to function.

8-) Fusion. You are fusion. You are two lighter atoms merging into a single heavier one and releasing heat. You are what makes stars bright and energetic. And yes, someday soon there will be a fusion nuclear reactor (known as ITER, google it) out in France that can give basically limitless energy with just a little bit of water. And even though it is a nuclear reaction it isn’t the type of nuclear reaction that is typically used with uranium and plutonium. That reaction is called fission and is the exact opposite of fusion. Fission is the radioactive decay of heavy atoms, fusion is when two lighter atoms merge into a single heavier atom. A fusion reactor only has heat and helium as byproducts. And if you saw the Batman Dark Knight movie you now know they got almost everything wrong about fusion.

9) The electromagnetic (EM) spectrum is vast, containing everything from radio waves to infrared to visible light and up to gamma rays. One part of the EM radiation is known as X-rays. 10) You are Bose-Einstein condensation. You see, normally particles are separate, and can be treated as such. One example is when you supercool helium and put it in a container. Eerily, helium will start to climb the walls of the container!

11) Superconductors are pretty cool. *rimshot* One interesting phenomenon is that they expel magnetic field lines. In short, if you take a superconductor and cool it down to negative hundreds of degrees, you can make a magnet levitate above it! If you’ve ever heard of MagLev trains this is the basis for them. Of course, the problem is that the only superconductors we know of all have to be incredibly cold. If only we could find one at room temperature….

I think what surprised me most, besides the amazing scumhunting, was that the scum team didn't use any of the fake role claims I gave them. Hmmm...maybe my roles were too complex?

You didn't read as straight scum but you were my least solid town read and your play felt different than your normal town game.

I agree. There was a point where the arguing with Jack started to go overboard and I think Amega recognized that and dialed back.

Solid move. Picking your battles is definitely an attribute more people need in mafia imo.

Interactions, statements, cases all play a role with in-game relationships.  Relationships can be as simple as me saying I liked one of your posts, that you made a good point against another player.  Or, for example if you look at Lily early in the game she quite clearly defended Jack and his meta from other players, or at least explained it for him, thereby linking herself to Jack to a degree.  Now, it's up to the rest of us to read between the lines and decide if we think she is linking herself to Jack because he's a solid town player and, as town, she wants a good town-on-town working relationship - or if she's linking herself because, as it turned out, she's scum and knew he was town and wanted to seem like town by defending him if he were to ever be lynched or the mob turned against him.

Ok, but I never even talked to him. Was it WBK who did?

That's the most suspicious part.

It looked like you both had the same goal (like lynvhing the same people and avoiding the others)

Expect you basically ignored eachother and often said things that seemed contrary to eachother.

 

That's the real trick finding mafia. They will often divide the team with one group agreeing with a lynvh and the others against it. However when you look at it as a whole you will see they somehow end up working towards the same end.

 

Anyway you can try something different in your next game lol
