It isn't "scummy" if you find it odd, you simply find it illogical or disagree with it.  So state that first, because if you can't argue against the intrinsic value of the statement then you don't understand it and if you don't understand it you can't weigh it for value.  

 

It's ridiculously scummy that you say if you start getting more heat then you might have to put your vote back on Mish.

 

That's just... I don't even know how you think that would be okay to say in a mafia game. As town, your vote goes to where you think the best chance of catching scum is, unless you're doing a trap vote or something. Something NO townie should EVER be concerned with is putting their vote somewhere in an attempt to lower suspicion on them.

It is.  Linking is valid, people just misuse it because they don't know how to read and critically analyze.  It is generally misplaced titling of interaction.  Real linking is a logical form of conjecture and must apply to situations rather than people.  I recognized that she believed her words and that lessened my suspicion to the point that I did not think it warranted a vote.  Whether or not her responses are or, in this case, aren't satisfactory is secondary to the way that she says them.  Simply stated I read her post as being very genuine and mafia are not genuine.

I understand the premise of linkage here, which is why I pointed it out. In the post I quoted you're saying that you would be willing to revote Mish if you continue catching heat for unvoting her; IE being questioned for it like I was doing. In a way you are saying that I am defending her in an overt manner, which is what I find negative and have issue with. In addition, this comes across as you basing your read on her now not by what she does or says, but by those who question you on your original vagueness.

Listen, I've seen three games very recently where Des/Csarmi issues or whatever they call it, dominated either a very, very big part of D1 or the rest of the game. I'm sick of seeing whatever it is between them dominate games; I'm here to hunt mafia, not listen to them going after each other for playstyle. I don't care if they see it as personal attacks or not; I don't care if they do; I just wanted it to end. So I wasn't trying to play if off as personal attacks, you're twisting to make me look bad now. And I really, really don't get the "since she knows Des well"-sentence thrown in at the end there. The thing is, I know Des VERY well. He can be a great player, and he also ends up getting caught in pissing contests quite often. So it's exactly BECAUSE I know Des (and Csarmi) I posted what I did.

Exactly. I try to #gamestart pretty much every game I'm in, to help town get off on the right foot (or get towncred when I'm scum), and almost always catch a lot of flak for it. Does that stop me from continuing to try and jumpstart games as quick as possible out of the fluff stage? NOPE. That's all I did here. I joined the game, and immediately started looking for stuff to try and build off of to get the game going. Salami said something which seemed to directly contradict what he has said about me in the recent past, so I started trying to apply pressure there. It ended up leading to a big emo ragequit. Is that my fault? I certainly don't think so. Don't think I crossed any lines or anything.

 

I just think you're trying to build up the situation as more than what it was to try and justify your weak vote on me.

Re: TG and deleting the post, It can't really be unsaid. as we already saw it. The explanation is somewhat reasonable I guess. 

 

If the game allows editing then all posts can be edited. you just have to be willing to take whatever heat may come with editing out content.  The MODS gave pre approval by allowing it in the first place.
