Well that's L-1. Might as well get this over with, I don't feel like we're gonna be able to move on before we get an answer here.

Where's the hurry?

Posted

It´s not a second too early. He should have been killed yesterday.

I agree that he should have been lynched yesterday. But that doesn't mean lynch need to be rushed. Do you feel that there was nothing left to discuss for today?

Posted

It wouldn't but it is what I expected him to do today. Or at least the casework.

I would expect that if he were town.

Not a bad point.

So tell me about thanksgiving. All I know is that you're supposed to eat turkeys for some reason... and give thanks. To someone.

But how does this day normally go? Also, do you guys work tomorrow?

It's a reason for Americans to watch football and continue our overly indulgent lifestyle, plunging ourselves into further obesity via turkey slices, gravy and cranberry sauce.

Turkey was supposedly part of the the "first" feast between the pilgrims and native americans that was a celebration of thanks for the co-habitation and the new land the pilgrims belong to.

It's become a national holiday as a day of thankfulness for all the good things in our lives.

And generally, for most office workers, it is a 2 day holiday.  I am working both days.

Like I said Csarmi, we're not gonna be able to focus properly on anything else before the Verb-issue has an answer. Look at what the discussion has been since nightfall last day. I'd much rather know, even if it means we loose the deputy.

Actually, it was venison iirc.  And it wasn't official until the 20th century.  And the main thing they were giving thanks for was the bountiful harvest.  As for peaceful co-existence, that didn't last long.

It was decided that it would be Verbal.  He was behaving erratically.  Many were suspicious of him, and his story had changed several times.  So when Verbal was in the kitchen preparing a turkey, they walked in quietly.  Someone threw something at Verbal to get his attention.  It bounced off his head and skittered onto the floor.  Verbal turned around, enraged, brandishing bird and baster as if they were weapons.

"Recognize that, Verbal?  It was found next to Dap's RV."

Verbal looked down.  On the floor was a cigarette lighter.  There was an inscription on it.  He couldn't read it from where he was, but he didn't need to.  He knew what it said: To George from Ann, with all my love.  Verbal knew he was in trouble.

"Listen, I can explain," he began, looking around wildly for a way out.  There were too many of them, and they had the only exit covered.

"It's too late for that, Verbal," said Mish, as she raised her handgun, pointing it towards his chest.

So Verbal did the only thing he could, he fired the turkey baster at her left eye socket, threw the turkey at Krak, and rolled sideways.  Unfortunately, he didn't get quite enough power on the baster and the stream fell short, barely splattering Mish's left shoe.  Krak easily caught the turkey, and ripped off a leg, inspecting it.  At the same time, Verbal's knee gave out, and he went sliding along the floor as he tried to shuffle behind a counter.

Verbal was supine, his head spinning.  When his vision came into focus, he was looking straight down the barrel of Mish's Beretta.

The bullet took him in the forehead.

Verbal, George Smiley, Town Deputy, has been lynched

It is now Night 2.  Please submit Night Actions ASAP.
