Cool. Well when (or if) you find out or decide for yourself in the event you can't find a reference, let me know and I'll throw down a vote one way or the other.

 

I'm really interested in the dynamic of the 3-way game. Essentially best scenario would be for the seer to identify the 2 werewolves and for them to team up with Town to eliminate the mafia. I like the added twist of the mafia not being able to kill anyone during the night.

Except that makes it impossible for werewolves to win (assuming werewolves need majority to win?- don't really understand set-ups yet, but will  read up once one's decided)

This is true. Some added manipulation would have to go a long way for the wolves' cause. Best to find the seer quickly, preferably before they've outed one of you, kill them and then hunt for mafia.

Tricky tho, the mafia have no reason to kill the seer except as a townie, so that leaves random mafia kill, eventually most townies must die, or a lynch - but a declaration in thread should stop that, unless cc.  But, again, cc would be by a werewolf as the mafia have no need to, so that would eliminate 1 ww and 1 seer.

 

Think this would be very hard for ww to win, they don't have private kills?

You've got it backwards.

 

Essentially the mafia are masons just not with Town. They know each other and have a separate thread but no kill ability.

 

Only the WWs can kill.

That's just this particular set up though. Normally it's 2 teams, Town vs. Mafia with a faction kill ability.

 

But, let's save the spam for later :smile:

I actually made that mistake when I was seer.  N1 I caught a wolf and revealed.  n2 I caught the second wolf and was killed.  Revealing with only one wolf caught almost cost town the game.  It would have been easy otherwise.

Just started reading the MvM thread. Looks like neither masons or mafia can speak to each other, just that they are aware who their teammates are. Makes for interesting play.

I haven't read the links yet and am a bit confused about the warewolf talk.

Are the masons town with the vanillas or are they a seperate team?

 

I'm okay with whatever set up that starts this game right away. :D

One last thing.

 

Since this game has taken a while I am assuming that means that people aren't especially interested in the setup. Thus, I am willing to change it.

 

If over half of you say you want the following it will be done:

 

5 vanilla town

3 masons

 

3 mafia

3 instakills

 

No night (aka quick game)

If mafia hits a mason the mason dies

If mafia hits a VT the shot rebounds and mafia commits suicide

 

I would personally prefer if we played out the Jungle Republic setup :biggrin: I read like half of the MvM thread and I thought it was really interesting, but I think that it would be less fun than this game.

Both the setups sound interesting. Something new. 

The mason setup sound intense. No night means that it will be a quick game. More fun that way.

 

ANyway, now that RTE is dead in the other game, he has one less to play ;)

Darthe, whichever you run, I do suggest that you run the other one next.

 

The Masons vs Mafia sounds most fun with very active players by the way, no night can make the game speed up a lot.

I plan to in the future. I will give one more day for sign-ups and if we have 12 I will do jungle republic, 11 will do masons and mafia.

 

@Tina the masons are town.

 

Also, anybody can run these.
