I'm not fully caught up on the posts from last night but I wanted to clarify something.

 

Csarmi: running someone up- I meant a lynch, so Quibby didnt add that, he just picked up on it.

 

I never said there was anything wrong with pressure votes. You're putting words in my mouth now. I was telling about rushing voting because if it's on a townie mafia rush in to make the lynch happen. It's harder to get information on. The conversations we're having now and giving the player a chance to speak yields more information.

 

I do agree with you, as I said above, about pressure votes giving information. I personally hadn't voted yet because I was unsure of who to vote. It wasn't because I didn't want to contribute or start playing.

Emphasis by me. Yup, the maffia might see trains as an oppurtunity to get townies lynched. Townies might see trains as an oppurtunity to get people pressured. That's where the information comes from.

 

See what I dislike is this: lazy day, no trains, no pressure, then people "rush" to have a lynch at the last moment. Now that's against town interest.

That's why holding back votes & impression is a bad play for town. Town needs trains early into days.

 

I took your posts as speaking up for lazy, cautious play - play that I dislike and play that's anti-town in effect.

Kaylee - what feels off is the spacing of those two votes. You make post #102, but don't vote. Even imply that you're still getting your reads. Then you vote three minutes later. Surely you didn't read the thread in those three minutes?

I was at the end of my lunch break and thought I had to clock back in. When I realised I had a few minutes left I decided to vote since your post stood out to me. I never said I re-read. That's you putting words in my month, or assuming.

No, I'm was only saying I personally hadn't voted because I wasn't sure I felt deserved a vote yet. I like discussions as they give information and a better read. That's all I was saying on that.

I don't like this vote from Pral. He is voting for Lenlo because of his self-vote while he has already explained that it's just a joke vote. A self-vote is only scummy when someone is using it as an appeal to emotion, and I didn't see him using his vote like that at all. I also find it strange that you have ignored Peace's post regarding Lenlo where he claims that he has been given pre-game info that makes him suspect Lenlo. If you were really suspicious of Lenlo then why didn't consider this information? 

 

I want to hear more from Peace first, but I'm willing to move my vote to Pral.

 

I know that he claimed it is a joke vote but I am not ready to take it at face value. Anything which is odd definitely has something behind it. Especially at the start of Day 1. I have played with Lenlo before and his self-vote is odd and the reasoning that he missed the mod post is 

 

There is still a long way to go to end of Day 1. When Peace comes up with his reasons and the game goes on, opinions and suspicion changes. So far, the vote is based on what I feel.

 

 

What could there possibly be hidden behind Lenlo's self-vote which was obviously a joke? I also don't understand how not reading all the specifics in the mod's opening post is scummy. Yeah it can hurt yourself and your team, but I don't like how you are using it as part of your case on him. Mafia rules usually differ a bit per game and he could have easily missed the part which says that you can't self-vote in this game.

Yes, my vote on Peace was serious but I'm not that suspicious of him anymore. I have a scum read on Pral.

I had the same feeling while I was reading the conversation between the two of you. In my opinion running someone up (as in pressuring them with votes) is a pro-town move because you learn a lot by watching how a player reacts under pressure. Speed lynching someone is idiotic and is only excusable when you have an negative investigative result to back up your vote.

You are trying to distance from the perception that you are scum - making a silly move, acting not serious. And, that is why I find you suspicious.
