Ithi i'd be inclined to think that lynching inactives is a pretty town move. Remove the bushes for scum to hide in.

Not that this has anything to do with anything at this stage.

And Halli confirmed on day 1 saves us a lot of angst come day 6

Two other people already mentioned that though. Myself included.

So what do you find interesting about it?

Like I said, I find it an interesting mechanic / role and it's something I haven't seen before.

What do you think the point of it is?

I think it helps town balance wise by clearing a player, and we can trust Hallia's reads to be genuine.

I move that anyone who has a so called 'joke vote' placed at the moment unvotes. And then we can get on with the game.

All votes placed from this point on should be genuine votes - for whatever reason. And I would recommend you give reasons.

I don't really understand why you are forcing everyone to play in a certain way by trying to eliminate joke votes. Sure, you might think they are useless and a lot of people would agree with you but that's still no excuse for doing that imo.

You used the word Scum. You don't do that - you say you want to find the Mafia Team when that is what you want to do.

So you must be on the Mafia Team and are using generic terms to seem like Town.

How can I force you? You are being very dramatic. I strongly suggested that it would be a good idea. Do you prefer to have them still? Do you prefer to not have to give a REAL REASON for a vote?

No, I don't see much use in a joke vote game wise but they can be fun. Like you said it can provide the mafia a place to hide in but it can as easily also reveal them making it a double edged sword.

I blame the Scooby game. I had to switch meta to appear more Yankee for what it was worth and now I'm used to saying scum and not mafia.

I'm going to go ahead and claim half-past-midnightness.

He's not american. We had a talk about it when he was thinking about playing the DPR game with the ALTs. I said he would have to stop using the word Mafia or they would know who he was - or at least be able to narrow down the field.

Basel always uses the wrong colours too.

Vote Ithi for thinking there is some sort of law as to what colors get used.

Vote Basel. Hiding your vote behind a smiley face. Yep it was noted.

Unvote, vote Pralaya. Distracting setup talk, and bringing out the third-party card. Both scummy moves, IMO.

And Ithi, in answer to your question, yes, my vote on you was a joke vote, meant to break the ice.

doesnt innocent child usually have no night actions?

Darthe letting Ithi run rampant can also be a good wqay to hammer the mafia early. You arent scared of that are you?

Are you defending hrr on the basis that she will catch mafia?

What do you think of Despo's setup talk.

@Womby: I think it's mildly fishy to go after someone for setup talk while engaging in setup talk of your own within the same post. (By Des' setup talk, I'm guessing you mean the bit where he says Prometheus would more likely be town.) My gut says Des and Rory could be distancing somewhat, but I want more data on Des. So far I'm finding Pralaya pingier, but am planning to watch Des closely.
