the protection role is conventional. no mention of percentages or chance to fail

 

So you are a full Doc with a couple of extra protections from certain mafia abilities. Hmm, all right. This makes me believe in you a little more and like I said it is useful to keep a "confirmed townie" around till endgame, especially because Wombat can apparently find out someone's allignment.

 

 

 

Tiink: a lot of DMers use healer and doctor interchangeably. Healer is doc, with nothing more meant, perhaps.

This seems legit to me, for now at least.

 

But I don't see Cloud pushing a claimed doc as a scumtell in itself. He's the master of fakeclaims after all, and should know never to trust a claim 100% at once.

How the heck do you get from my post, that I was protective of Basel? I was the second person to vote him, and in case you missed it, I'm more or less vetted now.

 

It wasn't about Basel. It's about YOU. You are not playing pro-town now. You're being snarky at me, when all I did was tell you straight out that you are hard to read and if you are town, you should work to improve that so that you can be helpful to your team, and not create distraction and confusion.

Van Helsing crept through the hallway, pausing every once and again to peer into a dark room. Ever vigilant, he knew that even though he had helped rid the town of at least one vampire pest, others might remain. And so, he continued his nightly patrol, eager to find another vampire heart to sink a stake through.
 
Walking past the various chambers and wings of the castle, Van Helsing shared an amusing thought with himself. He wondered what they did with all the vacant castles left in his wake after he slayed the demons within. Already picturing the "For Sale" sign that would assuredly be adorning the grounds in front of this castle soon, he suddenly stopped when he caught a... peculiar smell coming from one chamber. All flights of fancy left him as he assumed a more aggressive pose. Stealthily opening the door and sliding into the room, he surveyed its contents for anything out of the ordinary.
 
There wasn't much, to be sure. Oh, there were the usual creepy items you would see in some abandoned section of a castle filled with Undead. An old dollhouse, with the only doll's head reattached on backwards. A very old looking wardrobe, with some what looked like goat or beaver fur scattered underneath it. A skull with an Indian headress on it, apparently from a cemetary located nearby. Some breakfast cereal boxes (what was with the Undead and loving to get on the front of cereal boxes?). A cease-and-desist order from George A. Romero's attorneys for blatant copyright infringement.
 
But wait... there was something else, in the corner of the room. Helsing slowly strode towards it, and as he did, the smell grew much stronger. Lifting one hand to cover his nose and mouth, he stooped lower to check on what might be creating the awful stench. Slowly he lifted a dirty looking cloth that lay over a pile of...  what?
 
Not quite able to discern what he was looking at, he squinted his eyes in consternation, unaware of the wardrobe door slowly opening behind him. It finally dawned on him when he saw a couple of toenails. It was the remains of a human foot! ... the foot of an athlete who did not consider hygiene a high priority apparently, judging from the scent emanating from it. Wait... why was the smell growing stronger?
 
The zombie (sorry Mr. Romero!) embraced Van Helsing from behind and sunk its teeth into the flesh on his shoulder. Helsing cursed himself for being caught unawares so easily. Did this zombie monster (edit due to pending legal consequences) have slippers on his feet or something? Helsing threw away the automatic crossbolt shooter, knowing it would be of no help in this situation. He started mentally sorting through whatever weapons he had that might be able to help him. The Undead beast behind him mentally sorted through which parts of the body he would eat first.
 
Having a sudden "Ah HA!" moment, Van Helsing thought about what could help him: fire. The Undead always hated fire, just like they all hated hipsters and movie critics. Reaching for his trusty lighter-torch, he quickly brought it behind his head and pulled the trigger.
 
Nothing came out. Oh, darn the luck! The gas station he stopped at earlier didn't have any butane for him to refill his lighter with! All the pork rinds, jerky and awful toys that absent minded Dads bought for their kid on the way to a birthday party that you could ask for but NO butane to refill his lighter-torch! Oh the humanity... 

 

The ... (shiftily looking around for any sight of Romero attorneys) zombie noisily finished its meal, and then promptly stood up and begin looking for some hipsters or movie critics to feast upon.

That is a very strange NK for the scum team.  With Basel dead I'd assume that Mish was basically vanilla. She did claim Vamp slayer early in the game right?

 

Gonna have to look at who she was after during the last phase.

Ok I'm terrible with these sort of cases because I don't like going back so far and reread everything, but here are some posts from Hallia that I looked over again after her hammer on Basel:

I believe Mish's claim.  And since we see that it looks like Maw was telling the truth, shouldn't we keep looking instead for someone that would actually be scum?

 

 

She says that she believes Mish's claim and it would make sense for the mafia team to divide themselves over this (Yates didn't believe her and he flipped mafia). More importantly however she says that Maw has been telling the truth because he had died once and suggests we move on to someone that would actually be scum. Ping!

It shouldn't. All it proves is that he's lynchproof. It says nothing about his alignment.

Maw has claimed Miller, and it was only because he got heat. That is extremely anti-town. We need to lynch him.

 

 

I'll give you that.  I did give Csarmageddon lynchproof in die hard didn't I?

 

And after the above post from Wombat who explains that it actually doesn't prove anything other than that Maw is lynchproof Hallia immediately changes her mind and even brings up the fact that she gave Csarmi the same role in a game she modded or something. Anyway, she seems to know enough about the lynchproof role and so her previous post about Maw being cleared after he was lynched once doesn't make any sense to me.

Cloud, that's funny you posted that case cause I just went back through all of Mish's recent posts and she goes after Hallia in 3 of them.  Post 1201, 1228, 1231.

 

Looks like the 1 or 2 remaining scum team are feeling the heat and decided Mish had to die.

I don't blindly trust his claim.  That kind of claim has been rampant on DM lately.  We probably don't trust if for the same reasons (if you are town.)

 

But..Mish's death changes things.  Think about it...why kill a VT?  If I were on the scum team and I knew there were Vigs out there that could kill me specifically I'd be trying to take them out. 

 

A target specific Vig is very dangerous to a scum team cause if the vig is wrong...there is no harm.  A normal vig is dangerous to both teams.  It's a big difference.  So, Either the scum team was very worried about Mish...or just a bit as Csarmi would say "stoopid."
