I said at first that I didn't believe his claim and thought that he was a townie fake claiming a role (which seemed way too similair to Mish's) because he is convinced that Basel is mafia. Afterwards when he explained his role a little more I was ok with following him along even though I still had my doubts and could as well go after Dice.

Wombat asking for no one to visit him is a bit fishy if he is pulling a gambit with Basel...if Basel flips scum.  Kinda thin considering the scum team is down 2 players already and if Basel flips scum that would make 3 players.  Still, Wombat won't be cleared regardless of Basel's flip.

Hrm. A Basel train was started and began picking up speed, then Basel went after Dice which gained even more speed.

 

If Wombat is telling the truth, then Dice's train is most likely mafia propelled and opportunistic votes would be made on Dice's train by mafia. Most opportune vote of the day award goes to Cloud who is also trying to discredit not 1 but 2 different independent claims that would prevent Dice's lynch and pushing for the lynch of a claimed Healer.

 

If Wombat is lying, then he wants to push the Basel lynch stronger because Dice is probably a good mafia role. It would be a self sacrifice on Wombat's part as a Basel-town flip would immediately implicate Wombat.

I can't imagine why Wombat would lie to get Dice out of trouble. Dice had his head on the block because his posts were nonsense and his game participation has been minimal. I don't doubt scum was on his ass quickly if he really is the healer, but I don't see a gambit like that being used here. It's much too problematic, especially since Dice was so quick to hop on the Basel train.

Meta tells me that Peace and Berf could be scum. They're usually much more aggressive with their opinions and take one-way standpoints, but both have been relatively absent. I know Peace has been pretty busy lately but it's still food for thought.

I'm going to just assume you misinterpreted my post - seems more like you didn't read it properly and are desperately doing anything to protect your own image by hampering on others - so I'll give you a response. 

It's a step by step process that leads to a conclusion. If you're not reasonable in your assumptions then you're not going to get anywhere. It's not that "mafia would never do that", it's that if there was a gambit involved and Basel flipped town, then it would serve absolutely no purpose because the second that happens, Wombat has dragged himself into the spotlight and Dice remains even more suspect than he is. If Mafia did that, which I said would be beyond moronic, then they get a lynch on a town Basel, and then two of their members are automatically implicated. It's an extremely dumb move.

@Tiink: My comment was in reponse to the things you said about Dice and how he automatically would be cleared if Basel would flip scum. I didn't see the connection between them two  until your previous post where you explained that both Dice and Basel voted for each other before Wombat claimed that Basel is a vampire. I know that there is no reason for a scum Wombat to go after a town Basel like this because it would be suicide for Wombat, so that's why I thought there was a possiblity that Wombat fake claimed his role as town because he was convinced of Basel being scum and Dice being town. Anyway, I can see your point that if Basel would flip mafia it means that Dice is probably town but they could also as well have been distancing from each other in case one of them was lynched. We can't know for sure.

I'm reading Cloud as town. He seems to find a legitimate reason to doubt Dice, and argues it well. If Dice is scum, I'm betting it's just as Cloud suspects.
