csarmi, I respect your opinion but Mafia isn't about making friends. It's about winning. If you want to win you would do everything in your power with your power to win.

I don't think maffia should be about

• having a better internet connection
• having a timezone that suits deadlines better

And I'm not going to force other players to change their schedule to be online when they wouldn't have to. For me, this is not that kind of game. If I want to play a real-time shooter game, I'll find one for myself.

With that logic you can say you won't vote unless everyone is around to see it or you won't hammer at deadline if the person isn't online at that very moment. At least that's what I take from it.

Let me amend something: you can make friends in mafia and I certainly have. But I do want to still win first and foremost, and I expect to be able to make friends while doing that. It's a game, people expect you to do what's best for you and your team.

The n-shot protect thing was just too far out of left field to sound made up to me. Too elaborate for a mafia fake claim.

I'm not sure anything is too elaborate to fake claim and the evolving morphing disclosure plus the L-8 reveal plus the painfully obvious ways this can be manipulated... seen more elaborate plays.

A bit of warning:

 

Make sure to be alert for special roles. There are quite a few that would fit the theme quite well in my opinion. 

 

I suggest that we don't discard the possibility of a bus driver or an executioner being around. That's just two things that come to my mind, I'm sure there are much more. I expect this one to be a game of surprises for some reason.

another thing to bare in mind when talking about telling us night actions as you submit them and deadlines is cloudflare. cut it too tight and get cloudflared and we may loose the night action altogether.

I already have a pretty good grasp on what most roles do and their usage   I think, so having this hider get an X-shot protect is not terribly OP as a role (puts it about as strong as cop).  Csarmi, you need to give intel on who you are hiding behind when you submit your action and you should submit your action the last time you will be online before night deadline.  With that said.. I have a couple of thoughts on this that I can't mention to you.  If anybody is a mail carrier it would certainly be appreciated if you could pass a message for me.

I do to. But I still remember the Carebears game Kath modded. Did any of you play in it? Lily was mafia and used that as a safe claim.
