Are you afraid of finding me backtracking later? I honestly don't get why you guys are so adamant on getting a vote when how I feel is perfectly clear..

 

I don't care if you voted or not.  I get holding a vote.  But your excuses were weak and gave you tons of wiggle room.  The whole thing seems like you are trying to nudge others on to Darthe without committing your self. 

 

Without committing?? My opinion was pretty straight and clear. He's not necessarily scummy to me yet but his lynch would be an acceptable one. Why? Because according to him it'd be a vanilla or a mafia. If he's a power role I'm counting on him revealing that before he get's lynched, wouldn't you?? I'm not advocating his lynch, and I'm not pushing for it. YET. Because we still have time to look for a better candidate. If you understand that and yet want to lynch me anyway then so be it.

Misunderstanding. When Dap said PR I thought he meant mod told, not power role. My bad, I was just trying to reply quickly because it was late and I had something to do. I said that Darthe has said he's a vanilla. If it comes down to it and we're not able to safely lynch anyone then I'd rather vote him because he hasn't done much to prove he's town which is why I'm comfortable with the risk of lynching either vanilla or mafia. If he's got a power role and doesn't reveal when his head is on the chopping block then why would I take credit for that? He should've revealed then.

 

I dont buy this. To me this sounds like a scrape to get by when he was caught in contradictions.

I have been reading through this thread and trying to decide which way I should go for my first vote here on Day 1, now that I am home from first my short vacation with my wife, and second,... my weekend drill with the Army National Guard.

 

I see that there are two competing trains. There are currently 3 votes against dapianoplay3r. Also, there are currently 5 votes against Tiinker. For me, I don't like all of the fence sitting, what some might call "being wishy-washy" by Tiinker. That strikes me as being scummy. Therefore, at this time, I am now placing my vote.

I think the game got very focused on this darthe thing, leading to these trains.

 

I think we've seen a lot of reactions to one issue. not much else to go on but would there be on this day?

 

I don't know how to read the reactions. tiinks contradictions ... remain contradictions to me.

 

just seeing votes like vams saying one has three votes and one has five so ill pull the longer train seems... at best a shortcut to thinking.

 

maybe tiink is trying to nudge a train or maybe he's got nothing better to go on. a lot if ppl reacting strongly o verbalized fence sitting but... most of us are fence sitting right now, no?

My thoughts - already stated what I feel about the Darthe situation. 

 

It's interesting to note that GF points out Hallia's defense of Darthe but no one elses.

 

Also interesting that Vam comes out of the woodwork as soon as Cindy mentions activity and votes Tiink for fence sitting - shortly before, len commented on that...Basel quotes it, but his vote was already on tiink.

 

A lot of people are fence sitting btw - Tiink is just blatantly doing it.

 

I'm still not sure I'm comfortable with the policy lynch idea.

 

As far as the competing trains are concerned - I don't know how I feel about Dap - I actually feel as if he is scumhunting.  Tiink - seems overly focused on Darthe, but won't vote. 

 

So much WIFOM here that it's hard to wade through.

 

Summary - I'm getting pings from Vam for what I said above and GF for ignoring other people who have done the same as Hallia.  Tiink is pinging too, but I have a feeling mafia might be playing us here.  Don't like the policy vote on Darthe.

 

What sticks out to me is csarmi's analysis of the Darthe situation.

Ugggh, sorry folks, I'm not feeling well this evening.  Hoping i'm not coming down with the flu Kaylee's been fighting. 

 

Thoughts:

 

Darthe's claim strikes me as Darthe's normal MO, kick starting discussion.  Null tell.  He does this sort of thing no matter his alignment, and generally anyone who sticks their neck out early in the game winds up getting blessed with town reads from most of the game so I wouldn't even go so far as to say that scum wouldn't try to draw attention like that.  It's just Darthe being Darthe, plain and simple.

 

My head is swimming a bit, so it's hard to pull thoughts together.  I'm a little concerned about some of the votes on Tiink, The "fence sitting" accusation is an easy scapegoat and we're starting to see a lot of that being thrown around.  The closer we get to deadline, the more lazy the votes will get.  Vam and Len ping a bit.

 

Chuckles is pinging me at the moment. 

 

Quiet BG is quiet.  This should probably worry me.

 

Also, quiet Ishy is quiet.

 

Getting a town vibe right now from Cindy, Kronos, possibly Peace and Tina.  Unsure about Player at the moment.

 

Unvote for now.  Going to put a cool rag on my face and try to settle my stomach.  Will hopefully be able to make sense of my thoughts after a bit and define who I am most comfortable voting for.

Alright, I should be at least vaguely active in this game now. My vote on Dap was just a joke vote, unvote. I see very little case on him, I find RTE's play unusually super aggressive for him, it threw me a bit. I think he's fired shots at a few people, and his vote change tickled something.

 

It does absolutely nothing to help your case by referring to csarmi as an easy target. If he's an easy target it's for a reason.

 

Also, using this policy vote is just a way to make Darthe an easy target.

I hate the last sentence of this post. Inferring two people are chatting on a QT is linking in a very obvious way, and doesn't really help in any way. It gets thrown around too much, I think.

I also agree with Cindy here. Tiink has been very contradicting so far and seems to be flailing around right now. It looks to me like he is making mistakes and is trying his best to cover them up, but it isn't really working.

I'm sure we're all making an effort to make our posts and quotes clear, might slow down the game a little but we just have to pay a bit more attention when reading I suppose.

 

I don't like the possibilty of leaving Darthe in the lead to be lynched close to deadline, then he reveals something else, no lynch on Darthe, no lynch on anyone else either cos we are all focusing on this one interaction, and we loose two town to a random instead (if I was reading that mod post right).

 

Like Hallia already mentioned, we also had hidden triggers in the Indiana Jones game. I'm guessing that they will work in a similar way as in the previous game?

Your misunderstanding of the term PR aside, you are saying that Darthe hasn't done much to prove he's town. He has given plenty of good reasons why he revealed so early, and they convinced me that he actually made a good move instead of a bad one. He has kickstarted the game with his reveal alone. Like I asked in my previous post, if Darthe was about to get lynched , and he would claim a PR saying that he was fake claiming Vanilla for whatever reason would you believe him then? If you would believe him then, then I see no reason why you have a vote on him right now. The bolded: You should take credit for it because you have been pushing for a possible secondary reveal, using it as a reason in your vote against him, but I only see it as you trying to get him lynched. I don't suppose you can back of now though.

My early read on Dap was scumhunting, but after he didn't seem to understand why Basel would point out Darthe WIFOMing mafia I don't think he is thinking with a town oriented mind.

@Cindy and Hallia: What do you think is pinging from GF's posts? His only game related post was his vote against Hallia at the start of the game because she was defending Darthe. I don't see much reason why he is looking suspicious right now.

 

Also, I don't like Vam's play at all, he is only focussing on the current two trains and has not commented on anything else so far. His vote is pure bandwaggoning.
