So we are dealing with a poisoner.

Lynch went random and we lost the doc.

Turin wanting to talk setup so close to deadline is super sketch.

We lost the poison doc. In theory, there should still be a normal doc, right? I'm not sure on this, I think this is like my second game with poison in play. What's typical?

From what I read on the wiki, it means that the poisoners kills are pretty much unstoppable. Unless we have a jailkeeper, or something else that protects against all kills.

I was going to post a scene here at 6, but my mom made me eat dinner then, and I have to go to college after, so scene shall be posted in 3ish hours.

Similar to LZM I have been drinking tonight. Monday night is poker night, and drinking makes poker night even funner! Sadly I'm not drunk anymore, that ended about an hour ago...now I just need water.

The dwarves scurried along in the forests, scared of what lied ahead. After killing someone who could have helped them so much, they felt insecure, and could trust no one. They settled down to sleep and were just about to fall asleep when they heard a scuttling. They looked up and saw glowing eyes, staring at them. They screamed, and ran around screaming, calling for each others names. Suddenly they found each other, bumping into one another. One of them was missing! Bilbo cried out, "Look over there, Dori's lying on the ground!" They all rushed over, and Dori looked horrendous. His face was red, filled with blisters, and he looked like he was in a terrible condition. "His heart's still beating! He's alive! Make sure that nothing happens to him!" Suddenly, they heard a blast behind them and turned around. Bofur was dead, his body burned and ripped, bleeding profusely. The dwarves screamed as they saw this. They ran towards him, and sure enough he was dead. As they were weeping, they heard huge footsteps, and then a scraping noise, as a large figure dissappeared into the trees. They yelled chasing after it, but lost it. Only then did they realize that Dori was gone. Depressed, they didn't sleep, and kept walking onwards.

Darthe, Dori, Vanilla Town has been night killed!

Wombat, Bofur, 3-shot Town Sensor has been night killed!

It is now Day 2. The deadline is http://timeanddate.c...t Mafia - Day 2

With 19 alive, it takes 10 to lynch

Well that sucks a whole bushel full of rotten tomatoes. Losing a sensor night 1 is huge, and it being Wombat is pretty bad as well as he's a skilled scumhunter.

And NOW we have reason to actually consider setup talk. The scene clearly makes it seem like Smaug killed Bofur, and in fact I had been thinking that Smaug would prob be in the game and that he would be a SK. But what might be even more troubling is that we might not even be done with all the deaths, since we might still have a poison victim waiting to die. Of course, that could have been Darthe, since Dori's face was all blistered and whatnot, but pretty much any time there's a poisoner involved there is a timed delay till the death occurs. For now I'm going to assume that he wasn't a poison victim however.

Since Turin survived, I'd like to hear if he was able to clear Dice or not, and I'd like to do a reread later to see if I can see who may have wanted to take these guys out

I think we should lynch the vanilla guy...considering I doubt Rand has made a vanilla game.

Are you talking about Dice? And are you saying you think it's a kitchen sink game?

Posted

Well crap...

So is there always a timed delay on poison, or just most of the time?

Cause that makes the difference between mafia and third party...

The description does seem like Dori was poisoned somehow and the scuttling and glowing eyes thing made me think of spiders, but I suppose it could have been Smaug...

In the book Smaug is described as having glowing red eyes, and yeah with the other stuff (body burnt, large figure lumbering away), I think it's pretty safe to say Smaug killed Bofur (Wombat). Smaug could be part of a mafia team, but being that he was solo in the books I see him as being more likely to be a SK.

Morning. My result was mixed. I had hoped that Dice could tell you who I am, but that does not appear to be the case.

I am Fili, I am half of a mason team with my brother Kili(whose identity will remain hidden at the present). Furthermore, I am a masonizer. I can select one person each night and attempt to make them part of our mason group. I was told by the MOD that there were only select people that could be masonized. I had hoped that those would be dwarves. Particularly vanilla dwarves. I was told this morning that my action failed meaning that Dice was not in the category of characters to be masonized. However, I was also told to be careful regarding who I selected as if I chose non-town, I would be killed. If that had happened my partner would have been able to lead the lynch on said baddie. The fact that I am still alive leads me to believe that Dice is town.

Peace, There is already proof that there are vanillas in this game as Darthe is confirmed vanilla by coroner report. Also there is further evidence that the dwarves are in the game and are in fact so far town. This insistence to lynch townies first is troubling.

I concur that Bofur was likely killed by Smaug. The other kill could easily be the poisoning kill. I guess we will find out soon enough.

Yeah. On the possibility that this is a power role heavy game, if not kitchen sink, then there is a possibility that WWWombat was killed by an arsonist. That's my two cents, considering we know that there is poison involved in this game.

Come on peeps. It was Smaug. Glowing eyes, large lumbering figure... that sound like an arsonist? Even if Smaug is technically an arsonist (which I doubt), the most common type of arsonist has to prime all their targets first, then either light all of them on fire at once or they get lit when the arsonist dies.

He's been as spammy and unhelpful as normal, but the one topic that usually gets him involved in discussion, early claims and confirmed townies, he is silent on. Way off his meta in that respect
